I’ve been on some amazing walking tours in the past, but this one was very disappointing! We met at the heritage waffle co. We were given Luke warm cona coffee and offered pieces of dry waffle to sample. (Nothing like the picture!!). We then walked to gran place and tried 2 chocolates. Further along the walk we tried a biscuit and a tiny piece of cake from a packet. I was expecting to visit the shops and buy their wares. For £30 per head, this was such a rip off…. Extremely disappointing experience and lousy customer service from Viator, zero interest in assisting me with my bookings, I wasted so much time and it ended up costing me dearly… I could go on and on….

Itinerary
We meet at Waffle Heritage (Rue Lebeau 25), where the experience begins with a waffle tasting accompanied by coffee or tea.
Here, you will listen and meet in person Belgium's GOAT, elected by Belgians in the year 2000.
Why this fountain of a peeing boy became so important does not always make sense. While you enjoy a warm waffle, our guide will explain to you all the history beyond this mysterious boy. Despite its disappointing size, you will start to like him and also value our Belgian mentally.
Our guide will meet you right in front of the main gate of the City Hall. From there he will guide you around the square to describe and decode the symbols on the different facades : City Hall, King's House, House of the Dukes and many other important houses that hosted important names like Victor Hugo or Karl Marx.
The Saint-Hubert Galleries, opened in 1847, are among oldest covered shopping arcades, known for their elegant glass roof and historic boutiques.
This Cathedral is a must-visit monument during your stay in Brussels. Despite its soberness, the sculptures and the stainglasses of this bright church will amaze you. The Chair of Truth is considered to be a masterpiece of wood sculpting of the 17th century.
Walking down to the city center on the Mont-des-Arts, will be a well deserved reward. You may stop frequently to take beautiful pictures, but certainly enjoy the stairs and the Albertine Park.
As Supplier of the Royal Family, the House Mary will astonish you with its delicious chocolates and fairy setting. In the Royal Galleries you will learn all about Belgium finesse and chocolate.

Great experience. We family was only in Brussels for the day and we wanted to see as many historical sites as possible. And of course try some waffles and chocolate. So it was the best of both worlds. Our tour guide did a great job of taking us to all of the important historical sites and explaining them. The stops along the way were delicious. I would not hesitate to do this tour. Just wear comfortable shoes.
Our tour with Lou (not sure I'm spelling her name right... sorry!) was FANTASTIC. We covered so much ground and learned so much about Brussels and it's history. The waffles were delicious too! Would highly recommend!
Fun, interesting, and tasty!
The tour was very good! Our tour guide, Clemens, was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of Brussels and the chocolate shops in Brussels. At our starting point, The Waffle Heritage, we were told about the history of waffles in Belgium and sampled 2 varieties…delicious when freshly made!! I would recommend this tour for first time visitors because the guide took you to the highlights of Brussels.
What a great tour! A perfect combo of interesting history and delicious food. Our guide Paul did a fantastic job and made it fun and interesting for everyone. Would highly recommend if you're in Brussels!
Mixed feelings about this tour, it covered lots of information and points but the details said “come hungry” so my teen was wildly disappointed by the lack of chocolate. I’d recommend but don’t expect lots of tasting, just as a tour of Brussels
This is a great way to get to know center city Brussels primary sites no one should miss. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and shared insightful historical information. The tour also included more insight... and tastings... into local cuisine than expected. We enjoyed the waffle tasting and chocolate tasting in particular.
Great tour. Our guide, Ian, was informative with humour. We had to leave the tour to catch a train so I’ll have to do it against next time we are in Brussels
Highly recommend, excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable and kind. Really enjoyed trying waffles at the beginning of the tour. It was a good mix of history and tasting chocolate, waffles and other Belgian treats.
Lots of tasty treats! Little hard finding the starting point it is a waffle museum- guide was high energy and fun but also conveyed a lot of information. Places to eat, shop as well as history
Ian was a wonderful guide and tour was so interesting! Getting to start off with waffles and coffee was a much needed treat on rainy Brussels morning. Could not recommend more!
Lou is an excellent guide. We learned a lot about the city and the history of the country. We also ate, waffles, chocolates and cookies
Clemens was a very informative and friendly guide.
There are many historical tours available in Brussels to choose from and this one is true to its word. The tying of history, culture and food in a wonderful storytelling fashion is a tour I'd easily recommend. Our group was intimate in numbers with Ian being a terrific guide. Highly recommend.
This was such a lovely tour. Paul did an absolute amazing job. He was very knowledgeable not only about Brussels but about Belgium in general. Paul shared so many interesting facts about the city and its culture. The food and treats were also very good.
Great mixture of learning a bit about the history of Brussels, seeing the city and tasting some amazing treats!
Waffle experience was great start. Our guide from there truly showed us Brussels! Her knowledge and experience aided us all. Chocolate options she offered were top notch. We bought Mary’s later! Our group related well and the introduction by waffle maker enhanced relationships.
Extensive tour recovering many different areas. Our Guide, Lou, was knowledgeable and responsive to the group. Although it was a small group, listening devices would have improved the experience due to city noises/construction interfering with information Lou was providing at various locations. Treats provided during the tour, gave a small insight to the gastronomy in Brussels.
We weren't sure what the tour would be like, but trust us it was amazing. Starting with waffles made in front of us and then an amazing walk through Brussels stopping at all the sites, with some chocolate and pastries along the way. Perfect for our three day stay in Brussels.
Tasty homemade waffles and treats along the way! The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. Enjoyed hearing history and stories from Brussels.
Very nice tour. Highly recommend. The waffle and chocolate tastings were superb. Our guide was interesting and tailored the experience to our group.
A really great trip starting with fresh waffles and then progressing on to a walking tour learning lots about the city. You get more treats along the way too so you don't just see Brussels but get a taste of it too!
Hits many of the major spots with treats a long the way. The route prepares you to explore on your own if you have extra time in the area. Tips and guides are provided along the way and at the end. Be ready for the walking but it's generally an enjoyable experience.
Clement was our guide and he was very entertaining and knowledgeable.
Sarah is very vibrant and knowledgeable. She made our walking tour easy and I learned a lot about Brussels in just two hours. This is a must add on your trip.
Excellent. Lots of tasty things offered on the tour. The waffles and chocolate were out of this world.
Enjoyed learning about Belgian waffles and then our walking tour of Brussels. Our guide was engaging, knowledgeable and funny.
This was a very good tour. We tasted them all: chocolates, waffles, fries and beer. There was something for everyone. We walked around the area surrounding Grand Place and learned a lot about Brussels and its history as we went. Our guides had a good sense of humor and were just a little naughty in a good way at times. I would recommend it.
Awesome tour guide Very knowledgeable and learned a lot Only negative was at the end of the tour We had to navigate to get some candy on our own. He should have taken us To complete a well rounded experience
Lou was a wonderful host and well spoken and educated on the history of Brussels. Her English was perfect.
Very nice start to the tour with fresh waffles, delicious! Knowledgeable guides, walking but not too fast of a pace, time to look around and snap photos. Several tasting breaks! Excellent and I would recommend to anyone.
Highly recommend this tour! Great starting location at the Waffle Heritage. The length of the tour and the history discussed on the tour was perfect.
Started with the waffles being made fresh and delicious. Lots of history to the waffles and their making. Then on to the walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She pointed out and gave great info on so many things along the way and I’m sorry to say I forgot the names of our guide and our waffle maker.
The places we visited were wonderful. We had delicious waffles, chocolate and cookies. The tour guide, Francois was excellent! He was so knowledgable, pleasant, and could answer all our questions. He was also so personable!
Your add shows a couple eating a large waffle, we had a snack size taste of a waffle. Very misleading. Guide walked too fast and did not alert us to traffic. Some great sights, but your is poor
This was our first tour on our first day in Brussels. We started with delicious Belgian waffles followed by an informative and entertaining tour of the Coty.
We recommend this tour first to get a feel for the city – and also to get your knowledge base in chocolate. Clemens did a great job of showing us the highlights of Brussels in about 2 1/2 hours. This was after our shop time learning about waffles. Walked through the gallery, Grand Place, and of course, the little boy statue/fountain. Comments on architecture of the city housing in the buildings too. Tour guide was sharp and funny! Really enjoyed it
The waffles were delicious. We got to try waffle made with beer and they were delicious. Also they had us try mary's chocolate, which were also very yummy. Our tour guide, who I cannot remember his name but he was from Bolivia, was amazing! He provided a lot of information and answered all questions.
goof chocolate - drunk husband
The guide, Clemons was very knowledgeable and informative. The waffles and chocolate tasting where great
The waffle is not worth the money . Just don’t waste your money and time doing this tour waste of my money and time mmmmm Mmmmm
Wonderful day to get a great overview of Brussels and some culinary delights and surprises along the way.
We had a fantastic time on the waffle and chocolate tasting tour! The waffles were delicious, the chocolate was terrific, and Paul was an amazing guide. We also loved learning about Brussels’ history and seeing the beautiful historical buildings and churches. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Brussels!
This was an excellent walking tour of Brussels that provided an overview of the culture and amazing history. Our tour guide, Clemmons, was very knowledgeable, personable and dynamic. He provided extensive and detailed information in an engaging way as we traveled throughout the city. The tour included several stops where Clemmons described in detail what we were seeing and what we should take special note of when we later explored on our own. If we were to do this tour again, we would absolutely request Clemmons.
This was an excellent tour, combining history with tastings along the way. Our guide was personable, animated and knowledgeable. He provide facts and recommendations which were helpful. At the end of the tour he even walked us to a recommended spot for a beer. Well done.
Paul is a fantastic guide. Polite, relatable, great sense of humor, humble, wealth of knowledge.
Clemons was an amazing tour guide. He made it fun & we learned a lot. Loved his jazz hands! Would do it again.
Our tour guide, Clemons (?), was excellent. Very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The waffles & chocolate were delicious! Five stars all the way!
