We had a lot of fun at the friet museum. They tell you all about the origin of the potato, and fries. They have games (solo, and multiplayer) and, when you have had the whole tour, you get to taste the fries yourself! They have a cute little store at the exit. A lot of fun when you are visiting brussels
This was an excellent choice. We were visiting Belgium with our grandkids (8 and 11) and they thoroughly enjoyed this very engaging museum. As did we! The museum is very interactive and informative. Even though this was full tourist season, we did not have to battle crowds and could spend as much time as we wanted to explore. Added bonus - we got fries at the end!
Diamond was lovely and very helpful. Museum is great
Wonderful experience. Had a great time walking around. Even our teenage boys had a good time going station to station learning about fries and potatoes. We enjoyed getting our fries at the end by the gentleman who was available on March 29 in the evening.
Brilliant museum! Lots of fun, very interactive but also super informative. It ends with a fry cooking demo (I took notes!) and a tasting. Highly recommend it for a visit.
Was actually very interesting- more so than I thought. A lot was learnt about the humble potato. Would definitely recommend.
The dream of all potato lovers; science, games, informative videos! Fun and inspiring experience! We had a great time!
Overcrowded tourist trap with rude staff that mock customers and talk down to them. Made the visit unpleasant, regret going.
Maybe also 5 bullets because we had not very high expectations, but nevertheless informative and funny. Our teenage kids were for the whole hour interested and completed the audiotour, which was the proof/pudding for me. The audiotour is indeed interesting, not too long, not too short, even if a small part only seems useful to win next pub quiz. At the end you get a small tote of âfrietâ with a choice of 5 or 6 traditional sauces, and that tasted remarkably well. Small remark: we have now learned that âfrietâ has to have a distinctive length, but the âfrietâ they made didnât pass that test. Anyway, well worth the 12/14 euro (rate 2025), especially if you compare with the certain tourist traps that Brussels offers in the surrounding area.
Excellent museum. My family enjoyed a lot the visit. There is a lot of content and the concept is really modern and interactive with a nice tasting at the end. I recommend.
A great visit ! My kids totally liked it, very interactive. We had so much fun during the tour, 100% recommended to all families
We visited the museum with our 11 year old daughter and we loved it. Itâs large with several floors. There is mix of serious research, large collection of tools and pictures and even games. And at the end, big bonus: they give you a pack of fries and sauce đ We highly recommend.
We loved the museum, we had fun and learned some interesting things about the history of potatoes and fries. At first, we wondered âwhat could a museum about fries be all about?â Then once inside it was very entertaining and we learned nice things. I truly recommend !!!
The Fries Museum in Brussels is where the humble potato gets the VIP treatment! đ„đ Youâll discover how fries went from South America fields to Belgiumâs proudest invention. Best part? Unlike most museums where itâs âDo not touch,â here itâs basically âTaste at the end!â đ
If youâre looking for something fun and a little different, the Frietmuseum is the perfect stop! Who knew fries could have such a fascinating history? The museum takes you through the story of Belgiumâs most famous snack in a lighthearted and entertaining way. The exhibits are colorful, quirky, and easy to enjoyâeven if youâre not usually a âmuseum person.â There are lots of fun facts, playful displays, and interactive elements that make it great for families, couples, or even solo travelers looking for something unique. Kudos to the Managment!! Want more? The visit ends with tasting some freshly made, authentic Belgian fries. They were crispy, golden, and absolutely deliciousâhands down some of the best fries Iâve ever had! Overall, itâs a fun, tasty, and very Belgian experience. Not too serious, just pure enjoyment. Definitely worth a visit if youâre in town!
Fun experience with the kids really interested and trying every interactive games. The fries at the end just completed to buy their enthousiasm. And if kids happy, mummy happy. So good review for this!
âA tasty and fun trip to the Fries Museum: laughter, discovery, and guaranteed delight!âTo be included on the to do list.
We explored the entire museum and it took us 2.5 hours. I like that it includes a potato tasting at the end.
Beautiful experience, especially for children; the aid of electronic devices for translation and listening to the recorded voice, stop by stop, was very appreciated by my son (3 years old); you discover basically everything about the history of the potato and its evolution. In the end, the gift of a paper cone with freshly prepared french fries made the visit unforgettable for the children.
Very beautiful museum, interesting and clear explanations, little games during the visit. T
Very interesting. Especially regarding. Finally the tasting. Also suitable for vegans
Very interesting tour Very interactive I recommend it
What a beautiful experience, seen a lot and done very nicely. Highly recommended for the whole family.
Perfect, fun, and very friendly.
We did not expect much from this museum; what is there to say about French fries? Instead, we stayed for two hours, but it could have been many more given how much there was to see. Interactive museum, great for my 3-year-old, but also for adults, with many things to listen to with an audio guide (included in the ticket price and in several languages) and to touch/try out. In the end, they give you a portion of fries with unlimited sauce refills to eat inside the museum. They say small portion, but I would say it is quite generous for us. There was no crowd; it was a Tuesday during lunchtime, and we were practically the only visitors, but that was better for us.
Such a cool place! A good time and beautiful discoveries!
Do not be fooled by the somewhat "touristy" appearance of the entrance: this museum is a gem!! You will truly learn everything about the history of fries and their ingredient, the potato, thanks to impressive collections (objects, decorations, tools) and short, educational, and fun explanations, where the audio guide also allows you to play several small games. Plenty of well-executed ideas! And the tasting to finish is really great: the cone of fries cooked in vegetable or beef fat, your choice, is the final touch, offered by a very friendly guide. Great experience, I really recommend it.
I would like to give this museum 10 stars... Done very well, the audio guide is in Italian, there are many interactive activities and games for children but above all an unparalleled tasting of real Belgian chips... Absolutely recommended!
Very nice and entertaining museum with a delicious tasting at the end
Unikatowe muzeum, ktĂłre pokazuje powstawanie frytek od uprawy ziemniaka po smaĆŒenie, przygotowanie dipĂłw. Audioguide zapewniony (brak polskiego). Interaktywne gry/quizy. Na koĆcu degustacja ĆwieĆŒoupieczonych frytek.
Very nice experience and very friendly personal. French fries tasting very good by Damien.

The chef of Diamond fries too nice and funny
Excellent, museum with audio guide, traces the history of potatoes, salt, frying, sauces, peeling/cutting etc. Very interesting And we end up with a warm discussion with Diamond who served us a very good portion of frit.
Very interesting and interactive museum, suitable for both young and old. Excellent tasting of chips with Diamantin, sunny and fun guy!
Unforgettable and very informative visit for all ages. The staff is very friendly and a delicious french fries cone is offered at the end of the tour.
friendly museum but without more, very welcoming staff but excessive rate in connection with the museum magritte cheaper for works and prestigious setting
We are going to visit this museum a little by chance wanting to go to the Manneken worse .We absolutely do not regret our approach because were very well received with a very educational explanation. The museum is extremely good because it allows us to navigate with an audio guide and make games to better educate ourselves on the history and the making of the fries according to the times and in the world.Clou of the show a fries cone to each offered at the end of the route.Really excellent in any point of view.A very good time(allow about 2 hours)I recommend.
Very interesting visit to learn more about potatoes and fries. This concludes with a french fries tasting offered by the very friendly Diamond where you choose your second cooking and sauce to taste excellent Belgian fries.
Great time with our 3 children (4, 8 and 12 years) Visit thanks to the audio guide, very informative Great decor, very colorful, very playful! And the fries cone at the end! Great.
Excellent visit, very fun and informative, for all ages. Allow a minimum of one hour to participate in all games
I didn't think there could be a place so rich in history and dedicated...to the potato! Such a variety of news and recipes that leaves you stunned. Of course, you can't stay dry-mouthed: a full-bodied taste is mandatory! Wonder for the palate.
Very interesting We've learned a lot. Games also to do c was very good We didn't think so, but we stayed 2 hours Excellent tasting
The museum is rather fun even if the beginning a maybe was a bit long for months, the scenery is super well done I advise you to go see this new museum that just opened
