This was such a fun class, I learned more about how chocolate is created and had a lot of fun making chocolate creations of my own. I will recommend this class to anyone who tells me they’re going to Brussels

Itinerary
Go beyond ordinary chocolate workshops and immerse yourself in the authentic world of Belgian chocolate making. Led by certified artisan chocolatiers, officially recognized by the Belgian Federal Government, this is a rare opportunity to discover how chocolate is truly crafted from bean to bar. Unlike most chocolate workshops, where participants simply melt ready-made industrial chocolate, you'll step inside a real bean-to-bar chocolate factory. We are the only ones in Brussels who transform cacao beans into chocolate. Chocolate making is our profession, not just our demonstration. During this immersive 90-minute experience, you'll create your own delicious chocolates: elegant mendiants, silky handmade truffles and a personalized chocolate bar, beautifully packaged to take home. Your journey begins at the cacao plantation: You will taste ingredients that very few people ever experience: fresh cacao pulp with its surprising tropical fruit notes, raw cacao beans, pure cacao mass and several single-origin chocolates that reveal the unique personality of their origins. The workshop takes place in our modern Chocolate Academy in the heart of Brussels and is conducted in English.

We had an amazing experience at this chocolate-making workshop in Brussels! My partner and I enjoyed every minute of it, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The workshop lasted more than two hours, but the time flew by because everything was so enjoyable, interactive, and well organized. We had the opportunity to make our own chocolates from start to finish, including delicious pralines and chocolate lollipops. The decoration part was definitely one of my favorite moments. Thank you for such a lovely experience! We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Brussels.
The experience was great and immersive. The chocolatier was wonderful and knowledgeable. There were no extra fees. The whole thing lasted about 1.5 hours. The rest of the staff was friendly. We got to bring home everything we made. 100% recommend. This was not a tour. We went into their lab and learned about and made chocolate.
Patricia was amazing. Shared so much info about chocolate with us. Really enjoyed the entire workshop.
Patricia was wonderful! Very knowledgeable, excellent English, very funny, imparts a lot of good information.
If you are looking for an incredibly fun experience where you also learn about the history and process of chocolate making, this is the workshop for you. Our teacher, Patricia, was extremely informative about each step as we created both milk and dark chocolate delicacies. She guided us with clear directions and a wonderful sense of humor. The protocols for cleanliness and safety were an important part of the experience. We each walked away with a scrumptious box of chocolates which we made ourselves and great memories to treasure from our trip.
How chocolate is made from start to finish... Bean to Bar... There is more to it than you realise.... How to make your own chocolate .. and bring home too! It's a skill to be enamored....
Excellent, Fun and informative experience ! Patricia was a fantastic chocolatier ! Very informative and fun !
Belgium is known for chocolate and this class lived up to expectations. Between making our own chocolate and tasting the chocolate throughout the process, made this an amazing class. They are bean to table chocolate shop which makes it more special
I was pretty underwhelmed with the experience given the price. For €90, we only got to taste a few chocolates and the intermediate products & then decorate 2 chocolate bars to take home (I just got a glass of champagne & an apron for the “VIP upgrade”). The bean to bar framing really oversells it & it should probably be called chocolate making workshop. This could be a good activity for families & kids, if you can find it at a discount.
Thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate workshop. Learned more than we expected and the chocolate eating was divine.
My teenage son and I booked on and had a brilliant time. There were 8 of us in the session, we all made lots of chocolate to take away and had a useful lesson in the life of a chocolate from bean to bar. The 20% discount in the shop after was a nice touch. Apparently they might be coming to London next year... happy days!
Very fun experience and learned a lot about chocolate and got to make my own dark and milk varieties.
Great experience with Patricia and some fantastic experiences tasting all the different products. Patricia kept it fun and interesting and we were able to take home a lot of chocolate. Brilliant experience and would highly recommend!
This was a great opportunity to mix learning, eating, and fun all in one unique event. Patricia was great as a teacher — she kept it fun and interesting!
This was so fun! Not really a highly educated chef experience, but it was fun to connect with other travelers. Our guide was very polite and the location was very clean and nice. Not a difficult class, could probably do this one, even with children.
Hands on chocolate making experience. Learn the difference between dark, milk and white chocolate. Different types of beans grown in different areas.
I had such a fun time. It was very informative without it being a snooze fest 💤!! I went by myself and made fast friends with the other attendees.
We had a wonderful time at this bean to table chocolate experience. Hearing the history of chocolate and making our own chocolate was both fun and fascinating. Highly recommend this experience!
This was so fun and I think paying VIP for the apron is totally worth it! We made 3 different types of chocolates and Nathan was knowledgeable and fun!
Fun! Very informative and well organized. The staff answered questions well and we got to make 3 kinds of treats which the send home with you in a perfectly designed box. I learned more in this workshop than in other cooking workshops in Brussels.
Really good. Got to try very unique things like a real fresh cacoa bean fresh from the pod. Very informative. Good quality chocolate. Had a really good time.
Patricia and Nathan took good care of explaining the various chocolates and conveyed their passion well plus the chocolate was yummy
My daughter (10) and I had a fabulous experience! We learned about the chocolate making process and made truffles, bars, and some artistic creations. We even got to try some raw cacao. Its a great way to really immerse yourself in the Belgian chocolate experience!
The intake at the main location was not welcoming and then you do walk about 5 minutes to the classroom/kitchen. BUT Patricia gave a wonderfully informative presentation and we made lots of delicious chocolates! I went solo and felt welcome and included in our small group. Can’t wait to try my chocolates! Overall a really fun afternoon!
it was fun although a bit like being in school...but I found interesting. We made a chocolate bar with adornments ,smaller dark choc shapes and dipped truffles. I would have liked to learn how to make the actual truffle but I guess there was not enough time...Some time was wasted travelling from the meeting point to the actual factory ??
Our instructor was amazing. She explained everything and gave us very clear directions so we could make the chocolate. We had a lot of different toppings to choose from and we made 3 kinds of chocolate. One of our best experiences in Brussels.
Super lovely hosts, lots of interesting knowledge shared, and we got a lot of chocolate! Highly recommend!
Class was very well organized and Patricia was an excellent teacher! Lots of fun and everything was delicious!
This was so much fun. Patricia was a great teacher, funny, and knowledgeable. She was helpful with purchasing gifts as well. Would highly recommend
This was such a cool experience. Our instructor, Patricia, was incredibly knowledgeable and led such a fun class. We got to learn about and sample pure cocoa bean, create chocolate bars, made truffles, and had champagne along the way. Such a fun social experience and would absolutely book again.
This was a fun experience and gave us the opportunity to learn about chocolate, where it's sourced from, and the process of making it. Plus you get to keep and eat your creations!
This was such a fun time and the instructor was amazing! Not to mention the chocolate is delicious!!
This experience was so much FUN! Patricia was an excellent host and food guide to making chocolate. She was knowlegeable and explained everything as we learned and had fun making our own chocolate bars, truffles, and bon bons! I would highly recommend this experience for people of all ages!
The tour was a little bit, not far outside of the main area of Brussels. I have checking in and getting the group together. There were a lot of steps to get up to the chocolate workshop. The workshop was excellent. We learned a lot we made a bunch of chocolate. The woman that owns the chocolate chop explained how her trouble is made and how pure it is. It was well with the ticket. We are so glad we took in this experience.
This was such a fun experience. The instructor was funny, and talked us through the process. We got to make several types of chocolate, and got to take home much more than I thought. I would absolutely do this again. A huge bonus is that the beans are ethically sourced.
This was a fabulous experience and worth every penny. Well organized and not the least bit "promotional" or "touristy".
Delicious. Nice history and explanation of the process with samples along the way plus hands on work to take home.
This was such a fun experience I cannot recommend it more. The woman running the class was so nice and personable. She was very thorough in explaining how to make the chocolate bars and also facts about chocolate itself. You have to do this if you’re coming to Brussels
I really enjoyed this experience with my 9yo son. We created a bar, 5 truffles and half a tray of chocolate shapes each during the session. There was also information on the production of their chocolates from bean to bar and tasters of different chocolate. (Dark chocolate lover through and through and even Belgian milk and white chocolate couldn't convince me otherwise :) ) At first I was nervous as the host seemed quite stern but she was great, informative with good instructions and some humour. She takes chocolate seriously. Everyone had to wear hairnets but not aprons or gloves.
Chocolate making was a great experience to break up a rainy day in the city and have a hands on experience. We learned about chocolate and enjoyed tasting our creation!
It was a light and wonderful experience with my kids who prefers to “do something” during vacation, not just sightseeing. We also loved the yummy chocolates that come out of it. Thanks for making this a unique experience for our family on vacation
Really fun and engaging even for our kids both under 10. We had an amazing time learnt so much and came away with lovely Easter chocolates we had made ourselves!!
Patrica was the star of the show! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. She is a master of chocolate, the 100% dark bar was the best I’ve ever had. Class is cute and you make you own bar + other stuff.
This was super fun and we came home with lots of chocolates. The instructor was knowledgeable and we learned a lot about chocolate from the bean to the candy bar. Would definitely do this again.
Really nice experience for an hour and a half to understand about chocolate making and trying an activity really well explained and everyone’s very passionate about what they do
The tour was not informative and hands on. Patricia did a wonderful job explaining the process of making chocolate as well as teaching us the various ways to use the chocolate.
Don’t leave any chocolate behind. It was super fun and our instructor, Patricia, was amazing. She was a great teacher, and she was very informative on how chocolate is made and the differences in flavors of types of chocolate.
Patricia treated us to a magical experience! This make your own chocolate class is a must do when in Brussels.
What an amazing afternoon with Patricia!! It was extra special because we had her to ourselves - what a treat to have a private Chocolate Workshop! She was funny, knowledgable and so personable. I'd recommend this activity if you're in Brussels!
