The best way to see parts of this huge city - we did the red route. But the audio didn't keep up with the journey so we ended up missing important information and carrying on to another stop and walking back. Booking was simple, finding stop not quite as easy as Toot sign was quite small and the chap checking our tickets could have been less grumpy
Long wait times for busses, little history, needs improved signage. Decide what sights you want to see so you know whether to choose red or blue line.
This bus is not worth no guide Audio pre recorded Driver didn’t speak Englishmao sucks No real meeting points They are not clearly marked Tried to catch the bus back it waited 30 seconds before taking off we ended up walking over a mile to get home Worst hip on ever
We travelled on both red and blue routes. Hop on hop off experience was limited due to timetable- bus stops were not very clear.
Great tour. Easy to find if you download their app. Good schedule and great things to see. We enjoyed this tour very much. We rode it a few times around the loop!! Very informative.
Absolutely rubbish! We always do a hop on hop off tour in every city we visit. This one was by far, the absolute worst. The blue route in particular was absolutely shocking. Very infrequent, meaning the buses were heaving. The worst thing was that there was absolutely no audio guide on the blue route whatsoever. I’m sure there was lots of information that could have been shared with customers (although the blue route seemed to spend a lot of time driving through industrial/ residential areas) but instead, all you heard was rubbish music. The TootBus app is also absolutely useless. We spent over 40 minutes stood at the spot given on their map for the bus stop; only for the driver to drive right past us & point further back down the road. The red route is ok-ish, but again, information is minimal & loops back on itself. These sorts of bus tours are usually one of our most favourite exploring methods on our trips; but on this occasion, we couldn’t wait to be done with it!
This was just an ok way to view the city highlights. The commentary was very short and general. There was limited instruction on how to utilize the bus, just directions to use an app. But we did not have wifi to use the app so we had no instructions. The drivers did not smile and were not enthusiastic. The best thing about this bus was that it got us to the Atomium and back. I'm not sure if a cab would have been cheaper. If you want to see Brussels, do a walking tour instead. Our walking tour was 100x better than the bus.
You do see all of Brussels but the buses are few and far in between. Just be aware that waiting times are long.
Not the best HOHO we have experienced. Bus drivers were not very polite, software not very useful + on the second day services were suspended without offering alternate options nor compensation to clients
The bus, the routes, the drivers… all excellent. Unfortunately the wheel was closed for maintenance. A partial trefund would be appreciated.
A very nice way to have an overall view of this great city. Cost below what is paid in other cities. Do not need to book on line. Pay to the driver
We had the 2 day pass, and rode on both lines the 1st day, as delays at airport customs shortened our day. . The second day, we got off at the desired locations, only. A relaxing way to use the Hopon, Hopoff system.
This tour bus has two routes. The Red route was great. Plenty of buses so very little wait and stops are close enough to walk to them from another stop for convenience. The Blue route was awful. Only 4 stops and they are much farther apart, so walking between them is not likely. They also only had 2 buses doing the Blue route so well over an hour wait for next bus once you get off. That part was awful. We do the bus tours in most cities we travel too and TootBus was our least favorite due to Blue route.
I paid $88.00 just to see the Ferris wheel. A waste of money
Great family excursion, I recommend
I liked they had 2 separate routes. We purchased a 2 day pass and used it both days. We did the red route twice to get off at different places.
It was very well organized . The headphones worked which is always a plus. There were folks from many countries.
Total ripoff. €29 official price, offered at €21 on website. But the blue line to Atomium only runs every 2 hours, and the red line does not have anywhere in the pedestrianised city centre to run, and you will miss almost all of the sights. Do not waste your money on this.
The bus was very cold since the weather was quite bad with rain and wind. But our driver Kacem was very kind and service minded, he brought us blankets and tried to keep the bus warm!
The hop on hop off bus was helpful in guiding us around the city but the traffic was terrible. It was informative
The app for the audio tour does not continue to run if you switch to the camera app on your phone. I had to restart the tour constantly. It really was off putting. The walking tours were fantastic additions but again switching to the camera caused the guide app to loose its place.
Easy way for a quick tour of Brussels that highlights the salient spots of the city. But finding a pick-up location was not easily defined. I walked for 2 km to later learn that there was a pick up spot next to my hotel. Also the bus moves faster than the audio, so a bit confusing to keep up with the descriptions.
A boring, lengthy tour of Brussels suburbia with inappropriate , uninteresting commentary. To be avoided at all costs.
Basic hop on hop of tour. Had a couple issues. Fist they heavily promote using the app. I downloaded it only to find it didn’t work on my iPhone. It did work on my partners newer iPhone but not mine. It was an ok app, not great. Second, they promote WiFi on the bus. I was on 3 buses and it worked fine on teo but on one it required a password which the driver did not know. I think her English was not great because she was clueless when I asked if she could ask someone. I tried to use the chat in the app but no response, zero customer service.
Very good experience and well recommended and nice people special Sheima she is so sweet and lovely 🥰 no comment and very very kind
Great way to see different parts of the city. Loved listening to the audio guide on the bus. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because we waited close to an hour at one bus stop. Absolutely crazy!
I love the option to go on a solo tour around town, to get comfortable to most of the attractions and have also a phone guide on the bus, not just driving form point to point. I really reccomend if you like to discover sights on your own.
We thoroughly enjoyed riding the Toot Bus. The audio guide was fun and enjoyable and they had a special option for children. The 12 stops were conveniently positioned near all the major sites. We also stopped to ride the Ferris wheel “The View” which offered views of the entire city. It is quite high and on a windy day, is an adventure, but we enjoyed it!
Times on the app were not visible despite being told every 20-25 minutes & there was no end time listed.
This was the best HOHO bus I've ever taken: frequent pick ups, cute horn at pick up, convenient stops, lots of variety in attractions, extensive commentary. Highly recommend, as Brussels is a big city. Even with the bus, we did over 20k steps.
Audio portion was not very informative nor interesting. Was hoping to learn more history and learn interesting facts about the city.
A nice way to cross the city with friends who are not well on their feet. We didn't have to wait long, it went smoothly and on time.
Effective for getting an overview of the main monuments of the city, which is quite extensive (we did the "red" tour). Remember to book on the site beforehand as it is cheaper.
Endless wait at the stops
We bought Tootbus tickets for 48 hours... thinking we could get on and off the bus regularly to visit different neighborhoods (which we can do in other big cities). 9:30 am departure time... but it’s only the red bus. The blue bus driver is here, but he's not talking to us. We wait until 10:15 for the departure... Over the 2 days, we were able to test this service and unfortunately, we greatly regret our tickets. Taking tickets to use city buses or trams would have been better suited to Brussels. Too bad a price too expensive for the real Belgian service...
Beautiful driver visit to the top really nice and very complete for this visit of Brussels. We will gladly return
Great really 🥰 and unforgettable
I made the tour with the Brussels Toobbus with a ticket for two days and the ticket for the giant wheel I bought separately. The 2 day tour with the hop on hop off is wonderful, it was very worth it and passed quickly, super recommend this tour, it is always the best option to get to know the main points and tourist attractions of a destination.
It's catastrophically cold on the bus! In sub-zero temperatures, one of the buses is open at the top! There is no heating! That was the worst!
Excellent attention and driver's guide Kacem... I'll be back for sure ............................. ............
Great visit, very nice, careful and polite IMAD guide. Comfortable Tootbus and comments from the tour very well. Great.
The audio guide was really informative and also funny. From the bus driver we have a lot of respect for how he drove as the streets in the city center are quite narrow. The route is well thought out. So recommended 👍🏻
We took the bus in the morning (around 10.30am) and to our surprise it stopped for its break around 11.30am. So we got off the bus and were not able to take any more buses and ended the tour on our own
Excellent. We had a wonderful day with the bus making it easy to visit the sights quickly. I highly recommend.
The ride was great. Everything worked out. Egg compartment in book. Departure point has been named exactly. No searching. Great.Next time gladly again.
