We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Fraser, which almost didn’t happen. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable and we learned a great deal about Brussels. A special thank you to the team who allowed us to join the tour the next day after we walked the wrong way and became hopelessly lost in the maze of streets in the old town. This tour is highly recommended.

We had a fabulous day with our guide, Fraser. He is very knowledgeable, interesting, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He is very enthusiastic and loves to share stories and some history of Brussels. We had a smaller group which was also good and he made sure we all felt comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were happy to have Fraser as our guide.
Our walking tour with Fraser gave a good overview of the history of Brussels. The guide was easy to find. He was informative, knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and funny. Fraser can rest easy that we walked away with new facts to stimulate our brains...lol...He was helpful in recommendations of the area, restaurants, waffles, chocolate, and Belgium fries. The pace was perfect. Would recommend this tour.
This is a great induction to Brussels. Our guide, Fraser, was knowledge, friendly and captivating. Highly recommend.
Our guide Fraser was fantastic! Funny and enthusiastic about sharing his love for Brussels and Belgium. Good leads on shopping and food. Would love to have him as guide anytime!
We did the free walking tour with Fraser. I highly recommend as Fraser is not only knowledgeable he makes the whole tour fun and focuses on what interests you. The tour lasts for about 2.5 hours so covers most of the highlights.
We had a fantastic tour of Brussels with Fraser this morning. He was an excellent guide — knowledgeable, engaging, friendly, and full of fascinating stories and insights about the city. He brought Brussels to life with a great mix of history, culture, local recommendations, and a good sense of humour. The tour was really well paced and never felt like a dry history lesson. Fraser made everyone feel welcome and was happy to answer questions, making the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. It was a brilliant way to see Brussels and learn much more about the city than we would have discovered on our own. I would highly recommend Fraser’s tour to anyone visiting Brussels — an excellent guide and a thoroughly enjoyable morning! Thank you Elaine Duncan Suzi and Ian.
We did this excellent walking tour which commenced as the majestic Grand Place. We learned about history, visiting the Stock Exchange, Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert , Manneken Pis , and much more. If new to the city a great way to get oriented.
This walking tour is excellent and well worth doing. Its a great way to orient oneself in a new city. We visited the beautiful Grand Place, Manneken Pis, St Nicholas Church, Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert where we did chocalte tastings and a lot more.
2 hour walking tour of the highlights of downtown Brussels with excellent historical context. Highly recommend
Excellent overview tour of major highlights in pedestrian-oriented Central Brussels - very knowledgeable and humorous guide conducts these tours for tips as his sole source of income, which is why the base price is so low. There were about a dozen or so of us, which made it quite interactive. Highly recommend and tip generously to support the pricing model.
Fraser was the guide for the 11:00 tour. He was friendly, informed and enthusiastic. His enthusiasm was contagious. He was also competent in responding to personal questions regarding my stay in Brussels. Jim
Fraser was very knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We learned a-lot and the time flew by! Also he took care if us on a hot day and gave us time to explore and also brought us together as a small group.
Great way to spend our first day! Fantastic - rich in history, interesting tidbits, and a great guide!
Great walking tour with Fraser. Friendly and knowledgeable about the city.
Fraser was an excellent guide of Brussels. I had done a number of Sandemans tours before and I think he is a great example of the quality of the Sandemans guides. He was very knowledgeable and accessible, making the 2.5 hr tour fly by.
The guide did not show up even though we waited 45 minutes. No obvious way to get a refund.
We had the most amazing and delightful tour with Fraser! He was so knowledgeable, chatty, engaging and humorous! We’ve done lots of these tours before, this one definitely stands out!
Had a delightful experience on the free walking tour with Fraser, we immediately felt at ease and after the tour we spent the rest of the day discussing various things we’d learned. Fraser is a fountain of knowledge but also the most friendly person so you feel very comfortable to ask questions. 10/10 would recommend :)
Fraser was the best guide I've had for a city walking tour in a while! He was so informative and funny. Throughout the tour he interacted with the grouo and had us answering questions, playing games, and encouraged any questions we had. If you get a chance to do the free walking tour of Belgium, do it, and hope that you get Fraser for what might be the best tour you'll ever have!
Our guide Laura was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of stories and backgroud that made the tour come alive. Highly recommended.
We joined this tour at the last minute as we walked through the Grand Place and saw it commencing. We were so glad we did. The tour leader, Fraser, led us on a beautifully constructed tour, with plenty of history, genuine knowledge, and a lot of laughter. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and signed up for the chocolate tour in the afternoon, which was brilliant too. I usually do a city walking tour on arrival in a new place. Having done quite a number over the years, I can say this is one of the best - probably THE best, I've ever done
Fraser was an absolute gem of a tour guide, very knowledgable and engaging.
Excellent free walking tour today with Fraser - informative, funny and very enjoyable. Well worth doing, book it now!!
Highly recommend to do this tour at the beginning of your visit. This will give you some historical context to the city you are about to explore. Adeline, our guide, was very knowledgeable, fun and he clearly loves this city. At the end of the tour he gave us an online map with tons of recommended food locations, all organized by category. It's always great to have recommendations from a local. We were a group of 4 and we all loved it!
Fraser was a fantastic guide. He made sure to impart lots of local facts and was very approachable throughout the tour. He was a good laugh and this made the tour all the more enjoyable for it.
Our guide Matt made the experience fun and relaxed. He shared stories and his passion for Brussels and Belgium. Thanks Matt for the experience.
Very interesting and entertaining tour. Our guide Julie was funny, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended to learn some of the fascinating Belgian and Brussels
Fraser was lively, engaging and full of dry wit. His tour was complete with historical facts and tidbits - definitely a must book - 2 thumbs up!
My friend and I joined Fraser’s walking tour. It was an incredible formative, interactive and entertaining experience. Fraser imparted his extensive knowledge of Brussels history and architect with humour and fascinating insights. A bonus was that for someone who is hard of hearing his clear delivery made it particularly enjoyable.
I found this to be an enjoyable and informative walking tour that highlighted some of the history of Brussels. Julie, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, entertaining and in tune with the needs of the diverse group.
Had a smashing time with Fraser, our guide, around Brussels. His knowledge just kept coming with passion and humour. You can tell he loves what he does.
Fraser was an amazing guide! Funny, knowledgeable, interested in who was on his tour and really wanting to make it a great time for all! Loved this tour 10/10
If you want to get local information and tips with a bit of history or century old “gossips” that went to the history books of Brussels, Tom is the guy to go to! Bonus is you can ask him for local tips as well and he is very knowledgeable about everything in the area! He is nice to share some personal tips as well! I enjoyed the tour!
Fraser was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. The pacing was easy to manage and he explained the history while making it relevant.
I really enjoyed this walking tour led by Fraser. I was travelling solo for work and this was a great way to spend my morning to see the sights before my flight home. Fraser was funny and welcoming and I also enjoying chatting to other people on the tour. There was a short pit stop for a drink or hot chocolate too. Also got some good tips on beer and waffles. I will be back to Brussels and will definitely be doing the beer tasting tour next time.
Excellent tour with Frasier. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the city, welcoming any questions. I would definitely recommend him as a guide.
We had great experience on the tour, our guide Fraser was energetic and humorous and the vibes were relaxed, so we felt free to strike up a conversation with him or ask a question at any time.
We had a great time walking around seeing the sites of Brussels, led by our fantastic tour guide Fraser! Would definitely recommend this tour. Fraser was great as giving us insights and tips about the city which were greatly appreciated We’ll be back for the chocolate tasting tour!! Aisling and Niall from Ireland
Great walking tour with Mat today in Brussels. He told us some very interesting stories and took us to great sights. Will use sandemans again.
We joined the free walking tour in Brussels with Sandemans and had Fraser as our guide – and he was absolutely wonderful! He managed to make the entire tour entertaining, funny, and full of fascinating insights. His knowledge of the city and its history really stood out, and he had such a great way of keeping everyone engaged. One of the highlights for us was how inclusive he was – Fraser made sure to acknowledge everyone on the tour and even chatted with us about being from Wales. He recognized that we spoke Welsh and made us feel really seen and included, which meant a lot. It wasn’t just a tour, it felt personal and interactive, more like exploring the city with a very knowledgeable friend. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide – thank you, Fraser, for making our time in Brussels so memorable!
Fraser was our tour guide, he was very friendly and did a great job touring us around Brussels and giving us an insight into its history!
Fraser was a remarkable guide, a fountain of knowledge about all things Brussels whose passion for the city shined. He was also funny, patient, kind and helpful. Would highly recommend!
Great tour, enjoyed hearing about the old city and its history. The tour guide Adrien was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with all the details of the various places. Definitely recommend
Too much advertising of restaurants, too little history. Guide was pleasant but didn’t know the Royal Palace was closed in 2025 so wasted time.
Our guide, Fraser, was entertaining and knowledgeable. We learned a lot on the tour and were impressed with his ability to keep it fun! They work for tips, so don't forget to tip him at the end.
I've been on several Sandemans walking tours over the years, they're always a great way of getting a sense for a new city, its history, and a little culture from a local, or a passionate expat. This one did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Fraser, an enthusiastic Scottish man shared his love for the city and many interesting facts, all with the signature Scottish humour I adore. Thank you Fraser for a great experience and the local tips, despite the boiling weather!
Fantastic tour providing great insight into the local history, politics, culture, and... beer and choclate! Fraser was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions with great detail and explanation. The tour was very entertaining and a great introduction to Brussels and Belgium.
One of the best walking tours ever Frazers knowledge and history of the city made tour v interesting. Very generous with his time John &Marjorie cork IRELAND
I had such a great time! What a perfect way to be introduced to the city and see everything you need to see. But better than that, Tom was our guide and he was the highlight! Entertaining, accommodating, with fantastic insights and tips from a real local. I spent the whole tour laughing. If I could take the tour again, I would!
