Our tour with Charles was the most comprehensive food tour we have ever been on. He was careful to ask our interests and expectations for his tour plan. Being from Belgium Charles was extremely knowledgeable about the history and off the beaten path highlights we never would have discovered on our own. We lucked out being the only 2 on the tour and therefore were given his undivided attention. He was friendly with the staff/owners of each restaurant and we felt our experience was all the better due to these relationships. I’ve never had so much food included in any other food tour. It was all delicious. Charles shared with us tips for where to go afterwards and tourist traps we may want to avoid. He took excellent care of us and was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. Fancisco was our guide. He kept the tour at a lovely, steady pace and was very informative of many local sites in Brussels. We had croquettes, mussels, meatballs, chocolate and waffles to eat and 2 different bars for beers.
Laurent was our guide and it was excellent. He is a professional photographer coming out with a new book we’d like to get on wine in Belgium. The places he took us were right for us, we like unusual sometimes quirky places. His knowledge of the area gave more insight and knowledge, a learning experience included with good food.
We enjoyed our tour with Charles. After some confusion on our part as to the pickup location, Charles went out of his way to be sure we met up. His explanations of the food we ate and knowledge of Brussels was excellent. We had plenty to eat. Going to La Fleur en Papier Doré — also called Het Goudblommeke in Papier was a special treat. We would not have gone there without his knowledge.
