I’m not massively into cars, but this was a really interesting place and I’m very glad that I went. The building itself is really impressive and there is an amazing collection of cars from a range of time periods. Information cards in French, Flemish and English tell you about each vehicle.

The permanent collection includes models such as a 1928 Bentley, a 1930 Bugatti and a 1930 Cord and several limousines which belonged to the Belgian royal family. Follow motocar's fabulous history and see all types of vehicles, ranging from cars and trucks to motorcycles, from the early 19th century models to contemporary cars. Located in the center of Brussels, in the southern hall of the Cinquantenaire Park, the museum is housed in 19th century historic building built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Kingdom of Belgium.

We visited the Mercedes temporary exhibition; we had arrived from Africa that morning and had a free day, so this was one of our stops. It was well worth the visit, as they displayed some beautiful cars across a fairly large area—and it wasn't just Mercedes vehicles on show. There is a café and restrooms, though the only downside is the lack of proper luggage storage; the solution they’ve come up with is rather amateurish—you just leave your bags in a sort of cloakroom area to the right inside. So, if you plan to go, definitely check which temporary exhibition is currently running; there’s no need to buy tickets in advance, as you can pay by card at the entrance.
This is an incredible experience. The owner was in the house and was so interesting to spend time with. Need to know... it will take much of the day to go through this museum as it is very extensive. Includes lots of history and rare autos.
Beautiful collection of cars
A fantastic museum set in a stunning building with really did take my breath away! As a bit of a petrol head I was looking forward to this attraction more than the other 4 I had booked. The setting for the display is truly superb with a vast display of all sorts of cars and motorbikes form over the years. There was a small gift ship at the end and a cafe too. Overall I enjoyed my time here, the Ferrari display was my fave part and it would've been nice to see some Lambos in there and maybe Bugatti's hyper cars too.
Well presented and accessible overview of Belgium's transport heritage, along with that of other Western European countries, the US and Japan.
One of the best museums in Brussels
Brussels Motor Show is amazing to see new cars. I’d recommend going to the motor show, because you can see all the new cars and motorcycles which are going to come out, if you want to know a bit more about a car or a motorcycle you should ask a salesperson and they will reply incredibly well, but you can do a lot of other things, it’s worth the effort to wait about one hour to do the race car simulator. Try to arrive when they are opening the doors because after that there will be a lot of people waiting in front of the entrance. If I were you, I would eat one hour before everyone arrives because after that you will wait hours and hours to get some food.
Well worth seeing if you’re interested in cars, there is a lot to take in though.
Interesting experience, lots to see if you love cars, good for young and old. Very spacious, so no crowd.
I had an incredible visit to Autoworld in Brussels! The museum itself is curated with an impressive collection of classic and vintage cars that truly take you on a journey through automotive history. Every section is thoughtfully presented, and there’s something fascinating around every corner. The highlight of my visit was the new Mercedes-Benz exhibition. It’s exceptionally well done, showcasing iconic models and legendary designs that perfectly illustrate the evolution of the brand. Seeing these vehicles up close was an absolute treat — a must for any car enthusiast. The atmosphere is spacious and well organized, making it easy to explore at your own pace. Whether you’re passionate about cars or just looking for a unique experience in Brussels, Autoworld is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! 🚗✨
Huge selection of cars and motorbikes with informative labels and guide app. Tells the story of the development of the car from the late 1800s to date. It also has lots of exhibits and information on the Belgian car and bike makers that I was not previously aware of. On first sight it may appear that everything can be seen in a short time as it is one big hall but in reality there is so much to see that 3 or 4 hours are needed. When we were there there was a featured exhibition on Mercedes cars which was very interesting. Well worth a visit.
We visited Autoworld in Brussels. It was a short trip, because during a layover we only had enough time to quickly go out and see Autoworld. It was very, very good; the surroundings are also very beautiful, it was easy to get there, and entry to Autoworld was fast. At the time there was a temporary Mercedes exhibition, but even without this temporary exhibition, Autoworld is well worth a visit, because there were very old and very interesting cars. They even managed to show some vehicles we had never seen before, so it is definitely worth visiting. You can leave your suitcase at the entrance, and there is a small buffet to the left of the entrance where you can have something to drink or eat. Autoworld itself is a large hangar, so it’s worth bringing a coat with you if it’s winter.
Car loving partner was in heaven with over two hundred cars and bikes on display. Well displayed, very informative audio guide. Not too expensive to enter. Facility can also be used as a venue for business activity Bonus is that it is near a stunning old gate and a beautiful park.
Great place to visit even if you're not hugely into cars like myself, my hubby really wanted to visit but I'm glad I went too... loads of models to see!
While I do not have a particular interest in cars, I chose to visit Autoworld and I am very glad that I did. The museum documents the evolution of automobiles and motorcycles through an extensive collection. It also hosts temporary exhibitions, and I had the opportunity to visit the one focused on Japanese cars and motorcycles. Each item on display in accompanied by information in French, Dutch, and English. My favorite part of the museum was the collection of cars from the early 1900s. Recommended!
Amazing collection of cars, very informative and helpful - beautiful and well maintained venue - outstanding!
My husband is a car enthusiast and loved the museum, would recommend for car and bike lovers alike, very well set out
So many old cars! And new cars! And motorcycles! If you like vintage cars you should go. If you like motorcycles you get to see a bunch of old Belgian racing motorcycles. The Big in Japan temporary exhibit is wonderful too. If you like cars go (and go even if you don't, this might just change your mind).
A heaven for the car enthusiast!, can spend hours and hours here. They got a good selections of cars
A very fine collection of vehicles from the early 1900s to modern day super cars. Everything is well laid out and the multi lingual plaques strike a good balance between tourist and petrol-head. There are rotating special exhibitions , ours was on cars from Japan and was very informative. By modern museum standards there is perhaps a lack of interaction, but the pristine exhibits engaged us for well over 2 hours.
The museum is very interesting to visit, there are lots of different types of vehicle. You have old and new, cars and motorcycles, big cars and small cars, from all around the world. Some prestigious and valuable ones, and some interesting concepts too.
Wonderful experience, full of history of all sorts of cars. Really appreciated the visit. Interesting even the motorbike section.
Nice, clean and bright museum. Lots of cars from different eras. Easily accessible by public transport. We didn't get any service at all in the restaurant.
I don’t consider myself “a car guy.” I’m more into the aesthetics, being amazed at how long things have been done that we might think are new, brands you never heard of (and what they turned into), that sort of thing. This is the third classic car museum I’ve been to (US, Australia, and now here). It puts the other two to shame. The only ding is they really need docents. They did have an audio tour of some kind so maybe that makes up for it. A great couple of hours. If you really love cars, plan on spending most of the day.
Entrance fee is 17€ and a little steep I believe however it is free entry either the excellent value Brussels Card. With plenty of vehicles to view and multi language texts it is easy to spend some time here. Will return as didn’t have enough tome to finish the whole venue on my visit.
The cars were brilliant my husband is really into cars so was always going to enjoy it but I was surprise how good I found it. The building it is in is stunning.
Amazing place to visit! Went with my partner and had a great time! Lovely selection to explore! Had a pint in caffee bar inside before exploring 1st floor.
Incredible amount of cars and history. Relaxed atmosphere. Take your time, read everything, it's fascinating.
There’s lots of old cars in a huge hall. I think it’s only worth doing if you’re really into cars. It only took me around an hour to look round and don’t feel it was worth the money for my interests personally. If I was much more interested in cars you could probably spend all day in there.
This is an interesting museum of some of the most famous and cool cars of the past. One hour is enough to get a good glimpse at some beauties.
If you’re in Brussels and a fan of classic, rare, and super automobiles, Autoworld is worth the visit. There’s a great selection of Belgian, British, French, German, Italian, and American cars to admire. Electric, Steam, Gas fueled. There are motorcycles too!
Beautiful building great range of cars to view, unfortunately because our train was canceled and the next delayed we didn’t have as much time as we wanted here, so had to rush a bit but still good to see everything
The selection of cars with historical information to where you didn't feel overwhelmed, but you got a great amount of knowledge and could focus on the vehicles' presence. Displayed very well and very clean museum.
This wouldn’t massively be my cup of tea, so I do feel a wee bit bad rating it 3/5, but it would be for the other two family members there and they would rate it 5/5. Not that interested in cars, as long as mine goes I’m happy. But, I am interested in the history of anything, so can totally appreciate the wonderful job that has been done in the curation of this collection. We didn’t schedule this the best way - only had 70 minutes - would recommend at least two hours. Would say while it was a very hot day outside, the heat in the museum was very muggy and made the trip a little unpleasant - but again feel bad writing that as the outdoor heat can’t be controlled. If you are a car enthusiast, this visit is a must.
This is a great museum for anyone that likes cars old, new, and in between. A large collection of cars from horse drawn carriages to the newest race cars and everything in between. Very enjoyable place and well done.
really great place, they had a huge selection of cars from all different eras! really loved the layout, however they should get a DMC DeLorean, as was disappointing that they didn’t have this iconic car :)
Very impressed with the broad range of vehicles over the extensive timespan. Quality and presentation were excellent!
Me and my partner came here as he is a car fanatic and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, there were plenty of cars to look at of different ages, and lots of information about them. The only thing we would criticise is the lack of signs and communication, there are no prices anywhere and it can be unclear. However recommend going here if you like cars!
My boys and I enjoyed the variety of cars and the atmosphere of Autoworld. Definitely glad we came from Charlotte, NC.
Autoworld, is in a cavernous, historic building that houses an impressive, permanent collection of over 300 vintage classics, racing, luxury, concept and prototype automobiles, spanning over a century of automotive history. Many of them were new to me, being exclusively European marketed only. You don't have to be a diehard car lover to enjoy Autoworld and view its great vehicles on display. Many are rare and many new names will be unfamiliar, but the beauty, glamor and styles of all will impress anybody. Overall, AutoWorld offers a comprehensive and captivating journey through automotive history, showcasing a diverse collection of vehicles that will appeal to car enthusiasts and possibly even those who just like to ride in cars.
Must see brussels museum. My son and I nuts about any mechanical vehicles plane's, Trains and Auto’s. It just so happen to have US Mustangs there in our visit. It was awesome.
Very interesting collection covering the evolution of the automobile. Unlike many auto museums, the uniqueness of the building allows you to see the whole collection from various angles. There is the museum collection and currently a featured exhibit on the Ford Mustang. There is a gift shop and a cafe. We went on a holiday Monday. €15 per adult. Worth a visit. Allow 1-2 hours.
We expected to spent 1-1.5 hours and left after 3 hours. Great exhibition, historically displayed, each century and their developments. Unexpected treasures! The museum is located in a beautiful park where we went afterwards for a walk and ice cream with the family!
As a petrol head, this place was a must. There's an obvious emphasis on classic and vintage cars, which is understandable (but I'd loved to have seen some modern hypercars!). All of the displays were clear and in several languages and really informative. There isn't too much interaction for kids, with the exception of an F1 replica they can sit in which is cool, but that was about it. Staff were fairly dis-engaged, but not rude.
This was an surprise discovery on our family break to Brussels and one we were delighted to make. With a range of cars from across the key ages of motoring, including both globally recognisable icons and more obscure Belgian motoring classics, there's something for everyone. With an aspiring car photographer in the family, his portfolio grew hugely in a singly afternoon. On site bistro well worth a visit also with greta coffee and some interesting specials on offer.
Visiting the Brussels Autoworld Museum with their entrance ticket was a fantastic experience! From vintage classics to modern marvels, this museum had it all. Each car told a unique story, and I found myself immersed in automotive history from start to finish. The museum itself is well-organized and easy to navigate, with informative displays and interactive exhibits that kept me engaged throughout my visit. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, Autoworld offers something for everyone. One of the highlights of my visit was seeing iconic cars from different eras and learning about their significance in shaping the automotive industry. From sleek sports cars to rugged off-roaders, there was no shortage of impressive vehicles to admire. The staff at Autoworld were friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions and share interesting tidbits about the cars on display. Their passion for automobiles was evident, and it added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. Overall, I highly recommend a trip to the Brussels Autoworld Museum. It's a must-visit destination for car enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Plus, with their entrance ticket, you can enjoy hours of fascinating exploration at a reasonable price. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!
Interesting to walk round. Lots of information about the cars that were there. My husband really enjoyed it
Amazing museum! So well presented and the cars were in excellent condition despite the age of the older cars! I’m not a massive car fanatic but we had a great time and spent just over an hour here. Would definitely recommend, very interesting!
This isn't the best car museum I've been to; the explanation and history of the cars is a little lacking which was a bit disappointing, especially as they have some unique cars I would like some more insight into. They do have a large and reasonably varied selection. The collection focuses mostly on European cars with the majority being French or Belgian, a lot of American, then a smattering of others including Italian and British. There are a handful of Japanese vehicles as well as some pre-car displays as well. They also have a section covering Belgian racing (such as the Spa track) which I would really love to see more fleshed out - with more history and background. It took me about 30 minutes and was worth the fee but if you've been to any of the other major car museums then I would not feel obligated to visit this one. I arrived at opening so plan a little more time if coming at a busier hour. It is a short bus ride (and a not much longer walk) from the EU and is within a lovely park; so if you're already in the area I would recommend it.
