Oddly enough I am giving this a bad review at the request of the operator. Unknown to me, this was purchased through TripAdvisor from a reseller (“Sam”), not the operator. We ended up paying, according to the operator, twice what we would have paid if we had bought it through the correct channels. It also created some confusion in locating the bus since we were looking for someone named “Sam”. The tour itself was great but the fact that we paid so much more than the others on the trip left a bad taste in our mouths.

Strolling through Ghent, you will discover St Bavo's Cathedral, the City Hall, the typical Belfry and St Nicholas' Church as well as the medieval harbour where students, tourists and locals gather. We will show you the mighty fortress which was the former residence of the Counts of Flanders.
After lunch in Bruges we start with a photo stop on the banks of the romantic Minnewater and visit the picturesque Beguinage. Your guide explains the history of the city from the Viking Age to its downfall at the end of the Middle Ages. You will literally see “all” the highlights of Bruges: the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the Bell Tower, the Church of Our Lady, St. John's Hospital, etc. You even have the opportunity to take a pleasant boat trip on the city's narrow canals.

The tour was very informative! I learned quite a lot about Ghent and Bruges; our guide, Jan, was delightful. Do be advised, though, that there is a great deal of walking!!
Nikko was a great quite and gave lots of interesting background history to Ghent and Bruges on the bus as well as walking the towns. Bus was very comfortable way to travel and relax.
It was good and relaxing, nice views
It was picturesque. Loved the canals and history kept intact. The only problem is that there is no WC in the bus. But other than that it was a wonderful experience.
This was a great way to explore both Ghent and Brugge. Laura was our guide for Ghent and then in Brugge we had Dirk who was a volunteer. The only downside is our tour was in English and French so sometimes it was difficult to follow along.
Fantastic day exploring Bruges and Ghent. Both cities were beautiful, and the tour was a great way to see the highlights of each.
Excellent tour! Our guide was thorough and quite knowledgeable! Highly recommend this tour!
Perfect amount of time in both cities. Tour guides were great. Made it super easy to see both Bruge and Ghent in one day.
Highly recommended, great experience my family and I had at these two magical towns, souvenir stores and chocolate are amazing.
Outstanding experience!! Itinerary as posted waa accurate, and out tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly! My favorite was Brugge and the availability of chocolates was out of this world! Ended the trip with an optional boat ride around the canals in Brugge (+15 € in cash needed). Highly recommend!!
Excellent tour and Excellent guides. The description was vague, but it worked out well. Arrived in Ghent and then had a one hour walking tour that started at St Bravo and ended there. Audio head sets were great. It was tight but we did have enough time to get a ticket to the Alter Piece. It would be best to get an advance ticket but hard to schedule. We were in front of Alter Piece at 11:39am. If there is a long line for tickets you may not make it in time. Brugge was good, a pretty good walk from bus to city center. We had plenty of free time and went to see Madonna and Child. We did not do the boat ride but plenty of time to eat. Brugge was very crowded with tourist. I would recommend a little more time in Ghent and a little less in Brugge.
Josephine was a great guide and very knowledgeable.
Laura and Helga did a great job. I appreciated Laura's recommendation to try the red (cherry) beer in Ghent. The optional boat canal cruise in Bruges was lovely. We thought the pacing was good. It was time and money well spent.
Very well arranged trip . Very informative guide. Perfect time keeping. Nice places -must see places in Belgium. Satisfied tour.
My tour said English on the voucher. I was put on a bus and tour with a bilingual guide who talked English and Spanish. It was quite annoying listening to a language I didn’t know all day. I got such a headache from this Bruge and gent is beautiful though
It was an interesting day . The history of Ghent and Brugge was explain by our guide Julianne. It was very busy the day we were there. It was a large bus tour which I am usually not in favor of, but given the distance cover was efficient. He only suggestion I would have is to provide more practical info toilettes, directions etc you truly want to experience Brugge.
The two cities were very fun to explore. The guide was excellent and showed us all the highlights with the history of the cities. We had plenty of free time to shop and eat the best waffles. Definitely a must see!
Great way to familiarize yourself with the sights of Ghent and Bruges. You see a lot of both cities with this tour. We opted for the boat ride in Bruges and enjoyed seeing the sights of the city in a different way. Plan to bring cash if you’re opting to take the boat tour - it makes it easier for your guide.
It was an enjoyable and well organisd experience. Before the tour, I had several questions and received honest, clear responses without any delaywhich built trust, The service was excellent, and the price compared to the quality was very good. But one thing if you have difficulty with walking this tour involves some walking!
Not worth for the price, nice guide but the tour was packed and was given in English and French. Very confusing very rushed. Really just a ride to both cities.
Josefine (Josephine?) was very sweet, knowledgeable, and impressively fluent in multiple languages. Bruges was definitely the highlight — charming, picturesque, and full of great spots, Christmas markets, and local treats. Ghent, on the other hand, felt a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite live up to the hype. One suggestion for the tour company: please avoid mixing multiple languages in a single tour. It really breaks the flow, makes it harder to stay engaged, and drags out the timing — especially rough on a cold and rainy day. Thankfully, our guide was flexible and switched fully to English midway once it was clear most guests were comfortable with it. Overall, a pleasant experience with a lovely guide, but Bruges is the real standout.
Booked a trip on Saturday and they cancelled on Sunday evening due to over booking. Wasn’t able to find anything else to do because everything was booked.
Both cities are beautiful and highly recommend. Nico was a fantastic guide and moves at a perfect pace to where you can see everything. Would recommend arriving somewhat early if you want to sit with your group
Great way to see both cities in one day. Our guide, Bruno, was fantastic and taught us quite a lot about Ghent and Bruges. Would recommend to anyone on a tight schedule looking to explore these towns!
Bruges and Ghent are very nice places! The guide was very attentive and knows everything about those places. Even we lost one bag (boats activity) and our guide Albert was very attentive and he contact inmediatly to help us! Very nice experience!!!
I expected more for what I paid, your app charges me 355$ for 2 persons , and the rest of the group at the gathering point were paid 56$ for one person , so why is that, I tried to understand from one who answered me on whatsapp but the response not that I expected this was the respond (Apologies for pricing confusion you've got, please be advised that Viator acts merely as a broker, while the tour operator is the actual supplier who listed all of the details of their tour in website.) So your app not worthy to trust, sorry for that
This was such an excellent experience. Pick-up in Brussels was straightforward and easy. The bus ride to the cities was manageable. Touring the cities themselves was a wonderful experience - a perfect balance of a guided tour and free time. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend.
We had a great time. Learning the history of Ghent & Bruges. Our guide David was very approachable, informative and friendly. They maintained the schedule and provided clear instructions to a rather large group in order to avoid any inconvenience. Sufficient time was provided for lunch, photo taking and activities. The bus was also very comfortable, clean and audio guide receivers worked perfectly. Bernard is a great driver & experience & patience to keep us on safe on the road. Ghent is a cute city & Bruges is stunning but much crowded. Boat ride is worth it. And yes.. go for the Belgian waffles & chocolates to complete your tour. Definitely recommend this tour.
Well organized. Good pace. Many sites without feeling rushed. Guide Wendy was well versed in regional and cultural history.
Excellent tour to 2 of the best cities. Highly recommend taking this day trip out of Brussels. Guide was nice and knowledgeable. It was a great day.
Beautiful cities. I wish we just went to Brugge to have more time there. It was crowded. There was a music festival in Ghent making it a bit harder to walk around the city.
This was an excellent day put and a great way to see Ghent and Bruges if you are staying in Brussels. The day was well organised and our guide, Sergio, was excellent! He was engaging and friendly, and really made the trip a great experience. He was also very knowledgeable, and gave good recommendations of things to do with our free time in Ghent and Bruges, as well as making some suggestions of things to do in Brussels. The day was paced well with a good amount of free time so that you could choose which parts of the two cities you wanted to explore in more detail. The coach was comfortable and the day ran to time. We went on the optional boat ride in Bruges which was excellent, and a really nice, relaxing way to see the city. I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you so much to Sergio, and to our driver, Philippe, fir making it such a fun and memorable experience.
The tour was nice but the timming too tide it would it be perfect with more time in ghante and brujas to enjoy..at least one hour more in both.
This is a no frills tour, only thing included is transportation and a quick 1 hour guided tour in each town. After that you are left to your own in each town to do what you like. Some venues charge an entrance fee that is not included in the tour. Our tour guide was very informative and pleasant. Know that these tours are typically English, German and French speaking combined tours so plan on the tour guide talking non stop. It can wear on you after a while. Overall a pleasant tour.
Stefan was an excellent host who was very passionate about the region and its extensive history. His wit and sense of humour, along with great recommendations and tips made the experience quite enjoyable.
It was lovely and very informative. The young man who did our tour(I’m sorry I can’t remember his name) was very personable and funny. We were in the group that had to stop for umbrellas in Bruges.
Bruge & Ghent were beautiful. Trip on bus was organized and clean. Tour guide was professional. The itinerary was very clear. The only downside was having to listen to the entire tour in English & French. During the walking tour, everything took twice as long and it was hot.
It was over price for some reason you charge me twice as much with the calendar read please have somebody contact me 727-698-9814. I’d like a refund for half the money Joe Filippelli.
This is a SCAM, do not book! I travel through Viator a lot and I always read every review and every detail of the experience before I purchase because I want to make sure I know what I am buying. I spent the time looking at a few options for this experience. There was one that was on a large bus and same exact itinerary but cost $57 a person. I didn’t purchase it because this one promised a small group of not more than 35 people and no infants. To my total shock, this provider sold me for $466 the same exact tour that cost $57 a person and I DID NOT purposely want to buy because of a large group. So every person on this bus paid $57 and knew they will be on a large bus with close to 100 people while I paid $230 a person for the same exact thing because this provider misrepresented what they were selling me. I have an elderly mother and was willing to pay an extra to make sure she is comfortable but ended up being scammed. They communicate through WhatsApp with a number located in United Arab Emirates and the actual tour company located in Brussels had no idea of this scam. It’s not simply reselling someone else’s service, it’s misguiding people into thinking they are buying something else and charging 4 times for it. This “Tours Travel” that sold me this scam had confirmed that they made misrepresentations and I have proof of that. They also apologized profusely and promised to make things right. And when I asked what that means, they offered me a very little refund in comparison with what I paid. Again, not only was I duped into overpaying, it then ruined my whole day. I knew immediately they lied about what I bought when I saw a bus with 75 people in it and an infant, so I spent the next 6 hours on WhatsApp and Viator chat with these scammers to figure out if I ended up on the wrong bus. When they confirmed I was on the bus they put me on with my elderly mom for $466 instead of $100 that others paid, they offered to make things right but of course didn’t and then told me to take it up directly with Viator. Please don’t get scammed by this listing, find the actual one from Brussels Tours in Viator for $57 because otherwise you are buying from a reseller that is defrauding you. Of course this will go to Viator and my credit card company but it’s a shame that I lost time, ruined a nice day with my mother and felt like I was mistreated by a scammer
This trip was beyond great. Our guide was super knowledgeable and he showed us everything we needed to see and had extended knowledge about everything!
Tour was great, Veronica the tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept to the schedule. The timing of the stops was good. Really enjoyed the trip!
We loved the tour of Ghent and Brugge with Josephine our guide and Jeremy our driver. The day was great, and we learned so much about these cities. Loved the additional boat cruise too in lieu of extra shopping time. We highly recommend this to others.

The tour was informative and visiting the 2 cities in one day saves a lot of time for those spending limited time in Belgium. However, it feels rushed at times with the guide barely giving us time to explore the city by ourselves.
Had an amazing time on this tour, I was alone but my guide Stephen did a great job explaining everything. Only negative was that at the time of booking I selected English tour and it does not tell you that it’s actually a combined English and Spanish tour where you won’t understand half of what’s being said unless you speak both languages. It wasn’t a huge deal and I was able to understand everything I was seeing as Stephen did a good job switching back and forth quickly for the most part. There was only once or twice where I remember getting bored staring in to space during the Spanish explanations. I do think the booking process should make it clearer that you are signing up for a bilingual tour and not just an English tour, but other than that I had a great time!
Site and history were incredible but our guide was disappointing. Stephon was very knowledgeable but had no clue where we were most of the time. He would just walk and talk about the history while most of us were struggling to stay up. Some of us were a block away and he would just mindlessly keep walking and talking. He made several comments about us Americans “asking stupid questions” and made multiple negative references about “non Catholics” which I didn’t appreciate nor did most of our group which was over half Americans. Great historian…terrible guide and not a group leader
Steffan was SO knowledgeable. He copped questions all day, and didn't miss a beat. Animated. Humorous at times. Highly recommended. It is a long day though. Suggest Bruges one day and Ghent another day. And my final comment.... If you choose an English speaking tour, you probably should be able to understand English. It's a bit much to ask not only the tour operator to repeat everything again in your native language, but for all the customers to have to listen to a language they don't understand. Just an observation.
A great way to see the Belgian countryside. Bruges is beautiful. We wouldn’t have seen it otherwise!
The tour was well organised in every way, with good pacing and communication of what to expect. The bus was very comfortable. Our guide was able to give us a lot of very interesting historical and cultural information and which made the experience of Ghent and Bruges much more meaningful.
