Class was lots of fun. We learned to make truffles, met other travelers in the class, and generally enjoyed the whole experience.

Whenever I travel, I always try to squeeze in an emersion experience. So when in Brussels, it’s got to be chocolate! My friends and I took the class with Moses. He was very patient and amiable, walking us through the recipes. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves learning the art of making truffles and delicious hot cocoa. Who knew hot cocoa could be improved upon in such a yummy way! The class is only an 1.5 hours, which surprisingly was ample time for us to make plenty of truffles. If you’re looking for a taste of chocolate-making fun, this is it. Would highly recommend the class.
We wanted an immersion experience with chocolate and this class was just the ticket! We really enjoyed the experience of making our own truffles! And who knew hot chocolate could taste so good!!! Our instructor Moses was wonderfully engaging and encouraging! At the end, we consumed delicious Belgium hot Chocolate (would recommend a hint of flavor like cinnamon or pumpkin spice) and brought home a bag of our personalized handmade bag of truffles. Highly recommend this workshop!!!
It was a fun family activity and the treats were tasty.
Amazing truffle-making class! Anna was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and easy to follow. The ingredients were top quality, and the truffles turned out absolutely delicious. I learned great techniques and left with beautiful handmade chocolates. Highly recommend for anyone who loves chocolate or wants a unique experience!
Overall it was a pleasant experience due in part to the humor of an American couple also participating in the event. The instructor spoke to quickly for those who did not have English as a native language (my partner). If such people do not have experience in cooking/baking this could be a difficult experience. Irritating was that the instructor disappeared into the kitchen to check on her smartphone while we were left to our own devices. As a result I had to go consult her on a number of occasions to ensure that we were not going wrong. She was friendly as I interrupted however I did not like this feeling of having to interrupt her surfing. The instructor should always be in the same room moving from participant group to participant group. With our combined skills (language and baking) we go through the exercise quite well. Without this combination it would have been difficult (as for another couple who were stuck with a very salty hot chocolate!)
Lots of stairs to the second floor but the pace was nice and there was a ton of great info. An abundance of chocolate as well! 10 out of ten stars!
Had a fantastic time! Highly recommend!
Great time, easy to find and well ran experience. Would recommend if ever in Brussels. Thank you for the good time.
We did truffles and hot chocolate making. Pros- it was great to hear the history of chocolate and explanation of the percentage of cocoa solids etc. It was fun making the truffles and hot chocolate and they both tasted great. I really enjoyed the hot chocolate. The music played in the background was great and created a fun atmosphere. Cons- the facilitator seemed a bit distracted. She gave a fairly quick explanation of what to do and pointed us to the recipe and instruction cards on the table then she disappears into the back office. She came to check on our group a few times, but I would expect for the expensive money I paid that the facilitator would be there consistently to help us and advise us. Some items like milk and utensils were missing and group members had to tell the facilitator who "forgot" to bring them out. Again one would imagine you prep everything properly before a class. It was great to meet other students in the class and have a little chat but I think the atmosphere could have been even more fun and lively and the price is far too expensive for what the activity is.
Anna did a wonderful job of teaching us how to make our own delicious Belgian chocolate truffles. She was charming and knowledgeable. Our entire e working with her and with each other. Such a lovely way to spend our afternoon in Brussels!
My 23 year old daughter and I totally enjoyed our hour and a half making 24 truffles with chocolate of excellent quality. We met lovely people, the tutor was reassuring fun and professional. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Family friendly and fun. Great staff and experience, enjoyable and makes quite a few truffles to enjoy
It was really fun to learn. Our host was very lively and played Christmas music. She was very helpful and patient. I appreciated that I (since I was alone) was able to work on my own truffles rather than being paired with someone.
What a fun, hands-on way of participating in an iconic Belgian pastime: chocolate-making! In 1.5 hrs, you are able to make delicious truffles using top-of-the-line Belgian chocolate. There’s even a bonus hot chocolate making experience as you wait for your truffle chocolate to set. In the end, despite the imperfectly shaped balls, you get to taste and bring home your own hand-made Belgian chocolate truffles!
Had a really nice time, the team was extremely welcoming and friendly. Perfect for solo travellers. Was very fun and well-run, and felt like good value for money. They also let us take home the recipes so that we could make the chocolates at home!
Very good experience, our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Practical session and the hot chocolate was amazing!
A wonderful experience. The setting was very friendly and welcoming. The other people taking part were lovely. We had a lot of fun making our chocolates and they taste delicious. You could end up spending a similar amount of money on chocolates at one of the many city centre chocolate shops but we came away with not only chocolates but a wonderful memory too. Highly recommended.
With just a few hours in Brussels with my 11yr old, we couldn’t think of anything better! Anna was friendly and welcoming and we had great fun making truffles to take home
From the time we entered to the time we left it was an amazing experience. Our hostess/instructor was very good. It was fun and I would highly recommend the chocolate truffles workshop!!
Such a fun time. My partner and I did this and the instructor was super funny and explained things throughly. Met some fun people also!!!
Very fun (and yummy) experience! Was a bit worried as the only solo traveler in the group, but the class was very welcoming and I ended up talking with a lovely couple the entire time. The instructor also made a point to ensure I was following along and got included. Not a crazy amount of chocolate facts/history, but an interactive opportunity to make a cool memory (and I took home a lot of delicious souvenirs).
It wasn't very interactive. Our "guide"'essentially told us to follow the recipe on the table, explained how to use a few things, then would disappear. Very little history or interaction. Overall, it was fine but not that great.
The venue is not disability friendly. No wheelchair access and very steep stairs. Knowledge was excellent and results as expected. Don't need the music.
My mother and I signed up together, and when we arrived, we had one station for the two of us - just twice as much chocolate. That wasn't nearly as much fun as if each of us had been able to participate. Because we had twice as much chocolate in our bowl, it took longer to chill, and so our truffles remained mushy. While we had a good time, it was definitely over-priced, and we left feeling like we hadn't gotten our money's worth. It would have been more satisfying to get to keep the apron and a copy of the recipe.
It was good fun, the teacher was excellent, he made it very easy to understand. The truffles were delicious 😋 .
A lovely birthday gift from our children whilst visiting Brussels for a long weekend Tutor was informative & friendly- Great fun! Highly recommend.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Great to meet other travellers and share some tales. Chocolate making really good and informative. Tasty hot chocolate served while waiting for our truffles to set.
We all really enjoyed this activity. It was engaging and the ingredients used were of a good quality. It was well set up and explained. We ended up with over 20 truffles with the various toppings between three of us…. Delicious!
We were visiting and wanted to do an activity. Maryanne I think was her name was very nice! It was fun, easy and a cute little date idea. We learned a lot about chocolate it was very interesting.
This was a fun couple hours. Making truffles is pretty easy and our helper was great. Freezing the ganache made it a bit difficult to roll into pretty little balls, but it was fun nonetheless..
In my opinion, don't waste tour money here. £80 for two people to follow a recipe making chocolate? Save yourself a lot of money and make them at home for a fraction of the price
This event was overbooked and they had to divide everyone into three groups. Our group leader was very nice, but she did almost nothing to help/supervise. She basically said ‘here’s the recipe and just follow the instructions’. I would have rated this lower, except the chocolate truffles turned out to be quite good both because we followed the instructions meticulously and because we insisted on having real cram as the recipe indicated instead of the soy cream provided to the group. As we were doing the final steps, our ganache stayed firm while everyone else’s got soft. We’re not sure whether it’s because we insisted on real cream or whether we followed the recipe meticulously, but ours were clearly better than those around us. As a final note, the other group leaders seemed better, but we can’t be sure.
The workshop was fun and delightful, the groups were very nice and our host was knowledgeable and charming. The steps were easy to follow and implement. Thank you.
Such a fun activity to do in Brussels. It’s a nice small group but you get to speak to everyone. A little pricey, but still highly recommend
A must do when in Brussels! We had a brilliant host who was both enchanting and delightful in her knowledgeable chocolate story tales which added to the experience. Held within charming premises, the instructions were easy to follow with the added bonus of the instructor being on hand to help guide as necessary. Plenty of truffles are made, which are then all yours to take home…
so amazing these chocolate truffles - could not stop eating them so creamy- reasonably priced = bought 3 boxes with two chocolate bars for $12 euros - what a deal. everyone I gave them to loved them - wish I had bought more :)
Three of us thought it would be a fun outing and anything with chocolate is good for us. We were in a group of 17 people which was a fine amount. The young woman who led the class was very knowledgable but the class itself felt very rushed, which made it feel kind of stressful. We liked the class as a whole but maybe extend the time a bit so you aren’t rushing through. It is still a fun thing to do.
Expected individual making , ganache was too hard to roll. Toilets disgusting. Instructor was very good made everyone interact and made it fun.
The workshop was fun and the truffles we made were delicious! Our host was entertaining and a good instructor. The premises were charming.
She made it so easy to follow and the truffles looked and tasted great. It was a bit out of the center but an easy walk. Great job.
We had a great time learning about the truffle making process and talking with the instructor and other participants. Great way to start our holiday!
Excellent experience with a very knowledge & friendly instructor. Went with my girlfriend and would definitely recommend as a bonding experience!
We were in a small session with just two couples so we could go at our own pace. Additional sets of equipment appeared as and when needed. Welcome hot chocolate break whilst the ganache was chilling. Shaping and coating the truffles is not as easy as it looks so we were delighted to keep all our truffles for us rather than using as gifts. Instructions were clear and easy to follow and feel confident we could make these at home now.
This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend the class. Amina was a fantastic hostess, full of good information on the history of chocolate.
Loved this. Staff was very friendly and great i had a great experience. Lots of fun and met new people. And they were the perfect gift to bring home.
It was an ok experience. But honestly not much different to being able to download a recipe and make it. So many extension leads plugged in, it created power cuts. Host was lovely but didn’t feel like a special experience.
Great session, pace was good. Instructions clear, chocolate delicious! Good facts about the history of chocolate. Hot chocolate was yummy. Attended with 2 girls (12 and 10).
The workshop was amazing. You get a good introduction to the process before going through step by step instructions. You are left to your own devices and can do everything at your own pace but the instructor is also there to help if needed. The hot chocolate and chat midway through the workshop was great too! There were many people from different countries! We took back a lot of truffles!
We made some delicious tasting chocolates and the whole experience was great fun as we had such a lovely and knowledgeable teacher.
