The Hotel Brussels

Really nice hotel. The breakfast is excellent. What is not so good is that the toilet is kind of open. Which means that any "sounds" you will make there will be heard all over the room. That's not very good, as most of us do enjoy a bit of privacy when we go to the toilet. Also somehow they call a sauna a spa. Not a big problem, but a bit misleading as for me a spa includes a pool. Staff friendly and welcoming and the location is excellent.The rooms are tidy and clean. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel.

The Hotel, is one of the best stays I've had. I found the staff extremely helpful and polite, nothing is too much trouble. I wasn't able to use the spa as i forgot my swimming costume but the rooms are exceptional. There was a bit of noise on one night but I think maybe that was due to a party happening above me. Generally it was quiet. The room attendant was extremely helpful, always asking if I needed anything. The breakfast was good and plentiful, there was something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised that they had all the British channels also, rather than the usual Sky News. Its a shame this isn't a chain as i would look for 'The Hotel' wherever I went next.

The spa is the real highlight of the hotel. The sauna, hammam, salt sauna and relaxation areas are beautiful, and the large windows overlooking Brussels make the whole space particularly impressive. The view from my room was also fantastic. However, for a hotel in this price range, I expected a much more polished experience. Check-in was extremely rushed. The staff member went through everything so quickly that it felt as though he was in a race. Given the number of facilities and services the hotel offers, I would have appreciated a more thorough explanation. Check-out, on the other hand, was extremely slow, and my invoice had to be prepared twice because it was incorrect the first time. The room was also quite underwhelming for the price. The bathroom is very small, especially the shower, and basic amenities I would expect from a hotel at this level were missing, such as hair conditioner. There were cleanliness issues as well. I found a hair in the toilet bowl when I first entered the room, and I developed an allergic skin reaction after drying myself with one of the towels. I obviously cannot say with certainty what caused the reaction, but it was nevertheless an unpleasant and concerning experience. It is a shame because the hotel has a fantastic spa and wonderful views, but the room, service and attention to detail did not reflect the price I paid. There is considerable potential, but the overall experience could be much better with improvements in service, cleanliness and the smaller details.

Exceptional hotel in a great location. The rooms are new, spacious, extremely clean, and modern. The staff are kind, professional, and very helpful, and the breakfast is more than excellent. A special highlight is the wellness area and gym on the upper floors, with an outstanding view. Everything was fantastic, if I could, I would give more than 10. I honestly have no complaints. The hotel offers excellent value for money. I also appreciated that the room included not only water and coffee, but also an ironing board and an iron, which was particularly useful for me. Highly recommended.
