For a five-star hotel, this level of service and room maintenance is completely unacceptable. The hotel doesn't meet five-star standards at all. The staff showed a very poor attitude and were neither kind. The worst part was the bathroom in our room: 1. The toilet constantly made noises whenever we sat on it. 2. The shower head was broken. 3. The sink was clogged, and the water barely drained at all. This hotel is nowhere near the standard of a five-star hotel. Honestly, the overall experience was worse than what we would expect from a three-star hotel. We are extremely disappointed with our stay.

i booked the junior suite for 2 nights. there was paint and wood flaking off the walls... the balcony was shared: no seperation with the other rooms and was unattractive. service over all very lazy.. i sat outside and had to go inside to order 3 times.. when they came to clean the room they dont even care to fold your clothes or give new bathrobes. my card didn't work and i had to go to the lobby twice because they could not fix it immediately. after i left i realized i forgot my special charger for my American laptop, i called them 3 times to then hear back from them after my friend also called them that they couldn't find it. but its there i know. they are just lazy and poor in service.
I stayed two nights at Tangla Hotel Brussels in February 2026. The stay itself was acceptable, but for a hotel that presents itself as five-star, the room felt noticeably dated and tired — the interior and fittings are well past their prime and don't match the price point or the star rating. Where things really went wrong, though, was everything after check-out. I paid for parking and used the on-site EV charging station, and I explicitly told reception that my car was plugged in. Weeks later I was hit with two separate charging invoices of €287.16 and €206.35. My car is a hybrid with limited battery capacity — it physically cannot absorb anywhere near that much electricity — so these amounts are clearly not for power consumed but consist almost entirely of penalty fees. At no point was I informed of this strict and expensive charging policy. On the contrary, I gave reception every opportunity to warn me. When I raised the issue, the hotel simply pointed to "signage" and deflected all responsibility to the third-party charging operator (Eranovum). What turned a billing dispute into a genuinely bad experience was the service that followed. For over three months I received a steady stream of "my general manager is following up" and "I'll keep you informed" replies — and then nothing was ever actually resolved. The last messages admitted that, despite assurances, no action had been taken. At this point the hotel has simply stopped responding altogether. A five-star hotel is defined by how it handles problems, not just by first impressions — and here both the dated rooms and the handling fell short. Being left with unfair charges and then ignored is unacceptable. I would think twice before staying here again, and I'd strongly advise anyone using the EV chargers to get the full pricing terms in writing first.
We had a wonderful stay at Tangla Hotel Brussels. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. All the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A very special thank you to Khaled, who helped us by finding my wife’s wedding ring at the swimming pool and making sure it was returned safely. His honesty and kindness truly meant a lot to us and made our stay even more special. Thanks as well to the entire team for the warm hospitality and excellent service. We will definitely be happy to come back again!
⭐⭐ Be warned: on top of an already steep room rate, this hotel charges an additional €50 per night for your dog and €25 for a parking space – an absolutely unacceptable value for money. To add insult to injury, guests with dogs are assigned the “dog room” – notoriously the most neglected and poorly maintained room in any hotel. On a more positive note, the two upscale restaurants and a well-equipped gym are worth mentioning – if you ever make it past the bill.
