More About Appearances Than Genuine Guest Care The hotel seems more focused on creating an impression of excellent service than on actually taking care of its guests. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations one would have of a hotel in this class. The excessive communication was particularly frustrating: four emails and a WhatsApp message before arrival, followed by yet another message and a phone call after check-in. This level of contact feels excessive and intrusive, especially when it does not translate into meaningful benefits for the guest. What is even more disappointing is the lack of genuine recognition for the most loyal guests. A minimal, one-category room upgrade is hardly impressive (hotel clearly was empty) . The choice of drinks available with the welcome voucher was extremely disappointing for a hotel of this standard, and offering only a small beer in exchange for the voucher feels rather pathetic. Late check-out was also unavailable. I understand that availability can be a legitimate constraint, but the explanation is difficult to accept at face value. Rooms are not cleaned for three hours, and surely not all departing guests leave at the last possible moment while all arriving guests check in right at the beginning of the check-in window. A little more flexibility and a genuine effort to accommodate loyal guests would have been appreciated. There were, however, some positive aspects. Breakfast was tasty, even if the selection was not particularly extensive, and the omelettes were excellent. The staff providing the night-time turndown service were also exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Overall, the hotel has some genuine strengths, but it seems to prioritise the appearance of attentive hospitality over the substance of it. For a property of this calibre, I expected more thoughtful recognition of loyalty, more meaningful benefits, and less performative communication. True hospitality is about making guests feel valued, not simply making them feel that they are being looked after.

Lady during check in reception looked unfriendly and uninspired. Had issues with my key every single day and it was only replaced on the last day of my stay which was very disruptive as I had to reset it daily at the front desk. Location: not near to train/metro stations but in a nice peaceful location. The square at the front of hotel had multiple dining options Overall and average stay, falls short of a 5-star experience

We stayed at Sofitel Brussels Europe as part of our honeymoon, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything was exceptional—the staff, the restaurant, and the bar. We arrived earlier than expected, and since our room was already ready, they kindly offered us an early check-in, which we really appreciated after traveling. To make our honeymoon even more special, they surprised us with a beautiful fruit platter in our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture. We also ordered room service, and both the sandwich and the burger were delicious. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations. From check-in to check-out, every member of the staff we met was warm, friendly, and professional. They made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The gym was also excellent, with high-quality equipment, so I was able to enjoy my workout as well. We loved this hotel so much that we decided to extend our stay by another night. The room was spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect base for exploring Brussels and the rest of Belgium. It is also conveniently located, with a direct train connection from the airport to the nearest station. We highly recommend Sofitel Brussels Europe to anyone visiting Belgium. We would definitely love to stay here again.
