An experience of two halves. Initially, after my first email was forwarded to accounting, the hotel’s back office went completely silent for weeks, ignoring further emails and providing no status updates whatsoever, which was highly frustrating. It took a full month for the refund to finally arrive. However, after publishing my feedback, the General Manager personally intervened. She apologized sincerely, handled the issue with utmost professionalism, and ensured the matter was properly resolved. Conclusion: 1 star for the back-office process, but 5 stars for the outstanding crisis management by the management. Upgraded to a fair 4-star rating.

I stayed here for three nights and paid around €700, which was extremely disappointing considering the conditions. The biggest issue was that there was no air conditioning. The room was unbearably hot, feeling more like a sauna than a hotel room, making it very difficult to sleep or relax. For the price I paid, I expected at least a comfortable room with proper climate control. I would not recommend staying here during warm weather unless this issue is addressed.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and unfortunately had a mixed experience. The main issue throughout our stay was the air conditioning, which did not work from the start. After reporting it to reception, we were told a technician would arrive within 3 hours, but no one showed up. We went out and followed up again later, only to be told to return to the room within the hour—again, nothing happened. After waiting several more hours, the night staff informed us the technician had likely gone home. As the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t change rooms and were instead offered complimentary breakfast. The next morning, we were moved to an upgraded room, which was appreciated—but unfortunately, the air conditioning there also didn’t work, which was very disappointing. There were also issues with the TV. While it had Chromecast, it only worked on the first day and then stopped functioning for the rest of our stay. That said, there were some positives. Julien was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made a real effort to assist us throughout. Florian, however, provided inconsistent information and came across as quite rude at times, which didn’t help the situation. On the plus side, the breakfast had a good variety, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. Location was perfect, 2 minute walk from the train station/trams/underground. So there are definitely some redeeming qualities. Overall, while there were some good aspects, the lack of functioning air conditioning and poor handling of the issue impacted our stay significantly.
We stayed for three nights. Our room was big and clean, handy that there is a little fridge in the room. The bed is very big and comfortable. Breakfast was typical for a four star hotel and good as well. Location is handy, you can get to the city centre within 10 minutes using the metro and the airport is around half an hour away by train. When the window is open, you can hear some noise from the streets at night. We‘d stay here again as the price is fair as Brussels can be quite pricey.
During my stay, I encountered multiple serious issues: 1. The bathtub drainage was blocked, making it extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic to take a shower. The room telephone was not working and remained unfixed despite being reported several times. Even by the time of check-out, the telephone issue had not been resolved. Because the telephone was not functioning, one of us had to physically go down to reception after getting dressed in order to request assistance. I was repeatedly told that staff were “busy” while I was left dealing with a blocked bathtub and other unresolved issues. I also offered to change rooms, but this was ignored. 2. While I was out, I sent an email to the hotel regarding the blocked bathtub but received no response the entire day. Upon returning, I found that the bathtub had been repaired; however, the washbasin outlet was completely blocked. The night staff member was responsive and came up promptly after my wife went downstairs. He repaired the washbasin and left. Later that night, I noticed water leakage below the washbasin. As the telephone was still not working, I could not contact reception and had to place a towel on the floor to prevent damage to the carpet. 3. In the morning , I discovered a starfish-like reptile/creature in the bathtub while my child was taking a bath. This was extremely disturbing and raised serious hygiene concerns. I have attached video evidence for your reference. Due to the leakage in the room and unhygienic condition, I had to check out earlier than I anticipated. 4. The morning front desk staff were rude, unresponsive, and dismissive. On one occasion, I was refused permission to fill a water bottle, even though the staff member was standing at the bar area where water was readily available. It is concerning that a hotel would refuse water to guests. 5. The morning front office staff were particularly rude.
