I‘m always staying here if I‘m in Brussels and I love it. Sure, there are hotels that are fancier and have more amenities, but this Holiday Inn just has a special charm. The staff is super nice and helpful, the rooms may be small but comfortable, the breakfast is really good and if you know where to go the area is quite nice. I‘ll be back!

Absolutely amazing stay. Me and my family recently travelled around the Benelux region staying in multiple hotels, apartments and houses in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and this was, in my opinion, the nicest place we stayed. Having stayed in some beautiful places and some more fancy places this really does mean a lot. The location is perfect, located right next to the Parc du Cinquantenaire which is home to the famous and iconic Triumphal Arch and many museums, it is also right next to the Brussels Schuman train station with lines to both airports aswell as many larger national and international lines aswell as metro lines 1 and 5 that lead into and around the city. It is also in the heart of the European district being surrounded by many European Union sights. Once we arrived we were greeted by staff who were incredibly kind and helpful running us through everything we needed for the stay. We were very lucky and arrived when they were doing a monthly event in which everyone in the bar got a round of drinks and were invited out to the beautiful terrace for some nice finger food where the manager and some staff were out talking to guests, all for free. The bar was a very nice place with a free to use pool table and nice art on the walls. There was a large selection of drinks for very reasonable prices. The rooms were very nice and had several amenities such as an iron, a trouser press, a selection of teas and coffees and a desk with a very comfy chair. The beds were quite comfy and very clean. Plenty of towels were provided so no need to ask the front desk for more. The bathrooms were pretty average however the shower was a little low pressure for my liking. Unfortunately we did not get breakfast either of the days we stayed however from what I saw there was a large selection of fruits, breads, cereals and classic breakfast foods like eggs, pancakes and waffles. Overall this place is an absolutely amazing place and if I ever do return to Brussels I will be staying here.
My top choice in the European Quarter for business trips. Perfect location. Rooms are nice, clean and newly renovated—far better than those in other, neglected hotels nearby. Attentive, caring, warm staff ❤️ Moreover, very accommodating of requests. Well equipped (a stock of umbrellas available to borrow is a huge plus in Brussels!). Breakfast well above hotel standards, as well as most of entries around.
I had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Brussels - Schuman, and I cannot praise this hotel enough. The absolute highlight of my experience was the outstanding hospitality provided by the Front Office Supervisor, Hilda. She is truly awesome! I arrived at the hotel around 8:00 AM after a grueling, exhausting overnight flight from Toronto. Completely jet-lagged and tired, I desperately needed a room to rest and freshen up. Normal check-in wasn't until after 3:00 PM, but when I requested an early check-in, Hilda immediately sprang into action. Instead of turning me away, she went completely out of her way to check for early departures and actively coordinate getting a room ready for me. While I waited, she kindly offered me a complimentary coffee on the house. In less than 30 minutes, Hilda managed to get me into a room. The room itself was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and provided the perfect environment to finally catch up on sleep. The rest of my stay was great, with absolutely no issues regarding the room or the hotel amenities. Hilda's kindness, caring attitude, and attentiveness to my needs were exceptional. She turned a stressful, exhausting morning into a wonderful arrival experience. I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, and especially for staff members like Hilda who truly care about their guests!
The staff is polite and helpful. The room is small, poorly furnished. The bathroom is also quite unpretentious. The breakfast is simple, only the croissant was excellent. The price is Brussels, five stars, the quality is 3 stars. The whole hotel is quite worn out. Unfortunately, the demand is high due to the EU offices, so the hotel (and restaurant) owners can do anything. This is not the first and only bad experience I have had in Brussels. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, not a reason to write a good review. I don't even understand how this hotel can be given 4 stars.
