I enjoyed my stay here at the Marriott. Rooms are a little small, but clean and with comfortable beds. The club lounge is decent too. The location is fabulous, but walking around at night time is like a stroll through Mogadishu, but not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was outstanding and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I recently stayed for two nights in early September. On the first night, I was woken up at 5:38 AM by the construction site just 10 meters from the room, across the street. The second night, it happened at 5:45 AM. When I checked out, the staff claimed this was impossible. That construction project is set to continue for years. Breakfast is a chaotic affair; there isn't enough space for the buffet. Items are dirty and uncleaned—the waffle iron, for instance. The smoked salmon was the worst quality I’ve ever tasted; it may even have been spoiled. When the bread runs out, it isn't replenished... In a hotel like this, you simply do *not* clean the table next to someone—who has just left—using a strong-smelling cleaning spray while the guest sitting right beside it is still eating breakfast! There is clearly no one in charge in the kitchen. The room is dirty in all the usual places. The cleaning was very superficial. The sink drain in the bedroom leaks like a sieve. An empty minibar in a 4-star hotel? Not even drinking water? Well, you *can* get dirty tap water in the hallway. No one in the hotel speaks a word of Dutch—even though Brussels is still the capital of Flanders. Their English is substandard, often consisting of incomprehensible mumbling. There isn't a single Dutch-language channel on the TV. At 11:00 PM, a loudmouth started his shift at the bar; he loudly announced that he was French. Just because someone refuses to speak French doesn't mean they don't understand it. You don't laugh behind Flemings' backs in a 4-star establishment. Upon check-in, the cost of your stay is charged immediately—not merely ‘authorized’ or ‘held,’ but actually deducted from your account. This is NOT the case with a standard reservation hold. They also ‘forget’ to mention at check-in that an additional €100.00 is being taken from your account right away—again, not just ‘held,’ but actually deducted. The staff does nothing about the groups fighting outside the hotel entrance—people of Arab descent, and the like. Never again. Go to Hotel Amigo instead.
Excellent hotel! Central walking distance to everyone and close to Brussels Central Station. For the location, it was surprisingly quiet as each night it was quite loud on the street but once we got in the room it was very quiet, We were also gifted a present for staying here on our anniversary.
Location is right in the Center, by the old bourse, and grand place. Hard to beat that, and we were welcomed so nicely by Andre at the front desk. He was very courteous, helped us with a few requests and just set our stay off to a very positive start. As a Platinum guest, we were upgraded to a nice corner suite and were able to use the lounge as well, which had a nice little buffet for the evening/dinner time. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was fairly standard and had everything one would expect. This hotel was very convenient all around, and even though it can get quite busy and noisy on the plaza outside, the insulation of the windows in the room was really good. No trouble getting a good night's rest here, while being in the center of it all. I'd definitely stay again when in Brussels.
The Marriott Hotel Grand Place Brussels offers a truly memorable stay in the heart of the city, combining comfort, convenience, and attentive service in a way that consistently leaves a positive impression. From the moment you arrive, the location stands out as one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. Situated just steps from the iconic Grand Place, it places you within walking distance of Brussels’ most charming streets, historic architecture, bustling cafés, and vibrant cultural attractions. The rooms are lovely, featuring a thoughtful blend of modern amenities and warm décor that creates a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring. Service throughout the hotel is friendly and professional. Staff members are quick to assist, whether you need local recommendations, help with transportation, or simply a smooth check-in. The lobby and common areas maintain a refined yet inviting ambiance, making them pleasant places to unwind or plan your day. One point worth noting is the car park, which, although secure and conveniently located, is on the expensive side at 40 euros per night. Guests driving into the city may want to factor this into their budget. Overall, the Marriott Hotel Grand Place Brussels provides an excellent stay marked by comfort, style, and unbeatable proximity to the city’s highlights.
