The facility was good and staff were very nice, but it was the first ever class for the leader (as leader) and her helper was also very new. There was an experienced person trying to stay in the background (to facilitate the development of the leader, I get it...) but overall the class was a little unorganized and unprepared. Also, the chocolates most of the class made was not very good (in quality and taste). Expected more for the price we paid.

Had the most incredible time learning from this kind, helpful group of people! They were welcoming, patient, informative and so so knowledgeable. It was a fun way to experience such a huge part of what makes Belgium special!
It was so much fun…besides being educational and yummy. Absolutely worth doing. The ‘rewards’ are quite tasty.
We had a great time. Hosts were very friendly and fun.
This is an excellent experience in that you learn about chocolate making and history of beer in Brugges while making your own masterpieces of chocolate! Greta was very friendly, made us feel very welcomed, easy to learn from and such a joy!
Fantastic host. We had a marvellous time learning about Cocoa, pralines and the different beers. We started by making the chocolate shells then adding ganache and flavours. It was really amazing to practice how it was done. Thankyou do much.
Highly recommend this chocolate making and beer tasting experience. We were running late and our hostess (chief chocolate maker) kindly caught us up. Our class was full and it was so fun meeting others. We got to make our own chocolate candies and learn about the process and beer! Our chief baker was unflappable, informative and had the ability to help us all when needed. Highly recommend.
The Unique Belgian Chocolate Making Workshop in Bruges was one of the highlights of our trip! My granddaughter and I absolutely loved the experience. Our instructor was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Belgian chocolate. He guided us through each step of creating delicious handmade chocolates, explaining not only how to make them but also why certain techniques are used. He also shared the fascinating history of Belgian chocolate and how it has evolved across different regions. Because the class was small, everyone received plenty of personal attention and hands-on instruction. As an added bonus, we enjoyed a beer tasting, and our instructor explained the unique characteristics and history of each beer we sampled. This workshop was fun, educational, and delicious! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bruges, whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or with friends. It's an unforgettable experience and well worth the time. Not only did we get to take our delicious chocolates, but we also received our aprons & a shopping bag.
They canceled my tour 16 hours before it was to take place (but if I cancel, I just do so 24hrs or more before.) This left me no time to rearrange my schedule. Sadly, diapponted. (They canceled because no one else had signed up for the tour.)
This class is hands on, making chocolate pralines and tasting some local beers. Our host/instructor Wilfred was warm, funny and gave great information. You leave with a box of lovely chocolates that you made. And some interesting chocolate, beer and local history.
This was an excellent way to spend a couple of hours...never made chocolate before, which was very interesting, and good to taste 3 local Belgian beers during the process...our teacher was very knowledgeable and informative...
Unplanned rainy day adventure was super fun and informative - would highly recommend rain or shine!!
This was such a fantastic experience! The best of Belgium! With souvenir chocolates to take home! Our instructor was fun & very knowledgeable in both Belgium beer AND chocolate making. We left informed and motivated to try some day on our own. This experience was a highlight of our time in Brugge. Thank you!
This event was a lot of fun. The chocolate master was very personable and a great instructor. Everyone in the class was friendly and having a great time. The beer tasting was an added plus. We will definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Brugge.
Such a fun activity! It’s most ideal for doing in pairs, but I did the chocolate making solo, and it was fine with the instructor is there to help whenever needed. The beer tasting is a fun addition as well and was very good alongside the chocolate. You get to bring home lots of chocolates made and customized by you too!
Fun, instructor very knowledgeable
We enjoyed this experience making pralines. We were introduced to a couple of beers we wouldn’t have tried on our own. Our instructor was knowledgeable and personable.
instructor was great, felt like he really enjoyed what he was doing. Made great chocolates and really fun beer tasting.
Fun and engaging! We got a little history lesson, tasted several local beers and you can even lick the spoon!
Had a great time making chocolates and tasting beer. Our instructor was full of great information delivered with good humor. He made sure we all had success in making our pralines, and did a great job catering to both the couples like us and the larger family group.
Our experience was wonderful. Brecht was very informative and an excellent host for the class. Excellent beer tasting and praline making experience with friends, old and new!
Fun, engaging and learned a lot. The chocolate we made is divine! The beers were selected carefully, and each one was distinct.
Informal and fun experience. Our group was a mixture of nationalities and the instructions were given in English. We successfully made about 15 filled chocolates (per couple) with top quality chocolate, ganache, nuts and flavoured syrup. During the session we were also served with 3 different types of beer and told the history behind it whilst we waited for the chocolate to harden during various stages. It was great fun and we came away with a gift box filled with our own tasty creations. I would recommend this!
This was such a fun experience after a long morning of exploring Bruge outside. You get to make your own chocolate treats while tasting Belgian beers and learning all about the history of both in Belgium. Wilfred was a wonderful host and I would absolutely recommend to anyone that has 2-2.5hours to spend.
I would highly recommend this to anyone on a short visit to Bruge. A very informative presentation during which we learned the processes of beer making alongside tasting whilst partaking in the main event of making chocolate. This was also very informative with hands on experience of making chocolate which we then took home.
We had a lovely time making chocolate truffles. It was informative and enjoyable. Perfect day. We made chocolates and tasted Belgium beers along the way.
It was very good. Time went fast. Wilfred was enaging and knowledgeable in chocolate and beer. The beers were interesting.
FUN!!! This was not only delicious, but tons of fun! We enjoyed our guide and his delightful sense of humor. He shared his passion for gastronomy, chocolate and beer. He was generous with his stories and created a wonderful experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable. A definite must do and a wonderful break from the typical walking historic tours.
Thai was such a fun time. The chocolate was amazing. The learning experience was very rewarding. And the beer was delicious.
Informative and entertaining way to learn about something I have always taken for granted, chocolate confections. There's more to it than just moulding molten chocolate around a few nuts. It's quite a subtle art. The beer tasting didn't cover as much new ground but it was a nice way to spend time waiting for the chocolate to cool!
We had a fab time at the chocolate making and beer workshop! The host was really engaging and fun, and we learnt lots about Bruges, beer and chocolate making. We tried 3 different Belgian beers - all delicious, and successfully made 21 chocolates with 7 different fillings. They were good at catering to dietary requirements too (one of us was vegan). A small piece of advice, we found it very tricky to locate the workshop, if there could be a sign outside to make it easier that would make it even better! Thanks for a lovely time - would recommend as an activity for your trip.
Brecht was fantastic. He was very informative and fun. Would absolutely do again. Did the waffle and beer experience last year and enjoyed that as well.
My wife and I truly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend it to everyone. We're still eating the delicious chocolates we brought home and the beer was delicious.
After getting confirmation for this event, we took an Uber specifically to this out of way meeting place. We advised the contact number that we were there, although slightly early. We received one response that said they would open at 2 pm, the start time. A short time later we were notified that it was cancelled, this after coming a distance and giving up other activities we would have liked to do had we known this earlier. The reason cited was “unforeseen circumstances”. (I have my suspicion, since only 2 of us, it wasn’t economically worth their time as there was no other reason given and no one else ever showed up.). I’ve given 2 stars since they did refund our money promptly and agreed to payback our Uber charges to get there. While I would have preferred the event, I appreciate their promptness in reimbursing us what we paid.
We had a great time making delicious chocolates while learning about Belgium and how chocolate and beer is a part of the history. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bruges.
Such an amazing and informative experience!!! I would highly recommend this as a must do in Brugge! I leaned a lot and Frank’s some great beers while making my pralines!
Fun afternoon learning how to make chocolate and 4 Belgium beers. Wilford was helpful and informative about both. The multinational group was pleasant with whom to share the experience.
Fun and tasty. I would do it again. Also served many wonderful Belgian beers. Appropriate for families as well
Excellent experience. Informative, fun, and amazingly delicious. We’re a family of four and our kids are 9 & 11, no problems at all.
A must. I had a great time, stepped out of my comfort zone and did some 🍺 tasting and actually like 1 of the flavored ones. Thank you very much.
We had so much fun making our own chocolate and learning/tasting Belgian beer. We also learned some history about Brugges.
Awesome time making chocolates and beer tasting too! Wilfred was a great guide and host. The chocolates were fun to make and so tasty.
Wonderful experience making chocolates. Michele, our hostess was awesome. Great history of some local beers.
Absolutely brilliant, it was so much fun, educational and informative. We went with friends and we all enjoyed the experience.
Enjoyed the class and chocolate making with a group. Was disappointed when 5/7 members of the group were set up to make chocolate, and 2 were expected to share both the experience of making and what was taken home, when it was asked at the beginning if everyone would be making and taking chocolate, and told this true. It was not. This was not reflected in the price.
Enjoyable praline making experience with beer tasting alongside. The host was knowledgeable and gave us some facts about chocolate, beer and Belgium whilst keeping the experience light-hearted and relaxing.
So much fun! Loved this (even though we don't like beer!) Great group of people (small) and we learned so much with an awesome teacher.
It was a wonderful experience. So much fun making our own chocolates, and they turned out decent and delicious.
One of the best excursions we have ever done. So much fun. Stefan was the best. History of the area and beer making, the recipe, the waffles were amazing. Can't wait to get home and do it again for my family.
The session was great, the timing was perfect and the instructor had a very easy going manner. I never thought, before this trip that beer and chocolate paired well together but they really do.
