We had the best time exploring Bruges with Peter. Walking through the medieval streets and canals was already magical, but having someone who was genuinely hilarious made it unforgettable. They balanced deep local history and cool hidden gems with a sharp, quick-witted sense of humor that kept everyone laughing from start to finish. If you get the chance to take a tour with them, do it. We are already eagerly waiting for Peters new book to come out, if it's even half as entertaining as the walk, it's going to be a must-read!

Itinerary
The historic center of Bruges, where a covered harbor about one hundred meters long could once be seen. The old buildings and the interesting facts
The Belfry. The tower that marks the center of Bruges, where the city became wealthy in the Middle Ages and which houses the oldest carillon in the world.
The Burg. Where Judith and Baldwin, princess and knight, laid the foundations for the prosperous city of Bruges.
Where the Lord of Gruuthuse became the richest knight in Flanders. Becoming rich through beer — sounds quite appealing to me.
The place you would have tried to avoid in the Middle Ages. No anesthesia and many diseases.
Probably the most picturesque square in Bruges. And you can enjoy a good meal there.
The oldest brewery in Bruges, with a very ingenious system for transporting beer to the other side of the city.
The Love Bridge, or the Kisses Bridge. Very romantic, yet with a rather macabre side.
How Philip the Fair chose his bride.
The most beautiful promenade in Bruges, but also the oldest harbor of the city.
Wealthy people lived here. It was home to the richest guild of Bruges, but the work they did is certainly not something you would want to do. It was also the smelliest place in Bruges.
The loudest place in Bruges… full of fishwives.
To conclude, a delightful boat trip on the Reien.

Peter was very informative about his beloved Bruge. The "dad jokes" were entertaining as he weaved his history story along the walk. There was a mix of nationalities on the tour and he catered for them all. Money well spent for the hidden gems we uncovered along the way along with a relaxing boat trip.
Great fun Well worth the money
My husband and I went to 3 different countries on our honeymoon with several different incredible experiences, but this tour was definitely one of the best things we booked! Peter was a lovely tour guide, we could tell he not only was very knowledgable about Bruges, but loved his city. It was also clear he loved giving tours, so just walking around the city with his energy was a joyful experience. We also got to taste chocolate and pralines and the boat tour at the end was a nice touch and well worth it! Thank you for a lovely experience in Bruges Peter!
Very knowledgable guide that shows you and tells you things you'd otherwisevbever see and hear. Chocolate tasting a bonus. Recommend the canal cruise add on.
It was fine. Boat tour and chocolate tasting were good. The walking tour was too long, the whole experience including the boat tour was advertised for 2 hours. But the walking tour alone was 2 hours! Yet we didn’t stop to take a photo of interesting spots, except for one group photo at the end of the tour!
Great Guide… Very knowledgeable, good sense of humor, and responsive to questions post by the group.
Great experience! Our travel guide Peter was awesome! Super friendly, very knowledgeable and hilarious! We had a great time.
Peter was an amazing guide. Lots of info and historical perspective in a fun and engaging way. Perfect complement to the canal boat trip.
Peter was awesome Not only was his tour informative it was funny This combo was great and the manor to which Peter runs his tour means that everyone on the tour gets a great experience I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a Bruges experience
The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a good laugh, learnt a lot and got some great tips to get the most out of our visit to Bruges. I would say this was a highlight to our holiday!
Turn up on time and look for a gentlemen with a union jack flag. Peter was wonderful told all the history with a good sense of humor. I know he repeats this daily but it seemed totally fresh. Bruges is a wonderful place to visit. Peter will give you ideas of where to visit and investigate further . and little bit of chocolate as well.
As a solo traveller, this was the perfect way to get to know the city, learn its history and meet people. Peter was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. His recommendations were invaluable and I went back to several places later on. The canal tour was the perfect finish.
Fabulous afternoon walk and canal trip with Peter who is totally passionate about Bruges. He is soooo knowledgeable and funny. The whole thing was a delight. Highly recommended.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable. He was captivating, telling stories of interesting history and adding some hilarious jokes along the way. The tour was paced out wonderfully with options to sit if needed. We tried some local chocolate from a couple places and were given recommendations of the best places to eat and drink. We really feel like we got the best deal for this experience! It lasted closer to 3.5 hours by the time we were done with the canal cruise. 10/10 I would definitely recommend doing this tour when in Bruges!!
Peter was a great guide. He was patient, waiting for late cruise ship people. Peter was very well informed on the hx of Bruge, being a native of that city. He was funny often sharing how certain words were created. He kept us moving and we saw a good variety of the city.
What a great walking tour! Super informative and engaging with lots of great recommendations as well!
Brilliant from start to finish.Peter was full of interesting information easy to understand and with a very good sense of humour. How he does this every day I don't know. Peter a big thank-you
I got very sick the day before and was unable to get to Bruges. I attempted to cancel this tour on Trip Advisor but it wouldn't process the cancellation, AND no refunds within 48 hours ( i was at 40). The tour guide tried repeatedly to reach me by phone at tour time but we were on a ferry with no service that day.
Peter was fabulous. It was so educational and entertaining. He was informative and humorous. I can’t recommend this enough
Peter was an excellent tour guide - extremely knowledgeable and delivered a varied, interesting and entertaining tour experience. We did various tours and activities while staying in Bruges and Peter’s tour was definitely a highlight.
The guide did not turn up. We phoned the office and they could not contact them. Hugely disappointing. NO APOLOGY. NO COMPENSATION. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am!!!!!!!
Peter was a wonderful guide through Brugge and its history. He had so many insights and fun information he shared. The samples of chocolate were delicious too. We heartily recommend anyone coming to Brugge to join his tour. At the end of the guided tour he led us to where we had a reserved canal ride. What a lovely way to get a different perspective of Brugge.
I would recommend doing this as soon after arrival as possible as it gives you great information to plan other aspects of your time in Brugge
We had a great couple of hours exploring Bruges with Peter as our guide. We enjoyed hearing how the sayings we use today came about (can't wait for the book!) Haha. This is a must if visiting the city and Peters recommendations for the best Chocolate and waffles were very welcome!
Peter is a great, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. He has lived in the area his entire life which added value to the tour and his stories. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who is visiting Bruges. The canal boat ride after the tour was also nice.

Peter was the best tour guide!! His knowledge of Bruge and its history was amazing and he really made the tour so interesting! My husband and I had a great time seeing all of the areas of Bruge we would not have known about if it weren’t for Peter’s help! We also loved his recommendations for where to go around town.
Peter was amazing. I was 10mins late (sorry again) and he kindly called me and sent me his location so I could catch up with the group. He was knowledgeable & funny. He made my trip to Bruges worth it. Highly recommended. Thanks again

Peter was wonderful, very knowledgeable and informative. But also good humoured and passionate about Brugges. The tour was fantastic, such a beautiful place with a very interesting history. I would highly recommend this your and Peter as a guide.
Exceptional - well worth it! Historical building and architecture is out of this world. Beautiful scenery and lovely, friendly local guides. Thank me later. 🫶
Great tour guide Peter gave a very good history story with some good one liners. Easy walking with rests now and then
Knowledgeable and very humorous guide, although somebody the language was possibly a bit fruity for younger children. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour
Peter was a FANTASTIC guide to Brugge. My older sons (18 and 20) were convinced they would be bored, but they were totally engaged and loved it. We ended up skipping the canal cruise part at the end because it was a long wait in the lines, but other than that it was fabulous.
Peter is a great storyteller which brings the Bruge history alive. He also explains how old local customs gave rise to modern day expressions. This is a wonderful tour!
Peter is fantastic! Very knowledgeable and his commentary is informative with a great deal of humor. You will definitely enjoy spending a couple of hours with him.

Peter was knowledgeable, humorous, and energetic. A perfect guide to the city. Well worth the money.
Very knowledgeable guide. The presentation packed in a lot of info but was entertaining and fun. Clearly very well versed both in the history of the city and in how to present the information to a group in a digestible way.
Fantastic tour! Guide was great and extremely knowledgeable of the history of Bruges and Belgium. A lot of fun and great overall experience. Would not have enjoyed our stay in Bruges nearly as much without this tour.
We highly enjoyed our tour with Peter - he was very informative and gave us a great feel for Bruges given that we were only there for a few hours.
Excellent tour. superb guide (Peter) who was knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. The content of the tour was appropriate on a hot day, the pace appropriate and the locations visited very good. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough ... a wonderful afternoon in a wonderful city.
