Itinerary
What does Minnewater mean? This is the Dutch name for the lake which is made up of two Dutch words: minne, which means both "common" and "love", and water, which means "water". Thus, the most correct translation would involve translating the word minne as "common" since these were the "common waters, community waters, everyone's water" since it was where the old port of Bruges was located, a linked site very closely to the city and the daily life of its citizens.
The beguinage is one of the most representative complexes in Bruges, a prelude to what you will find in this magical city, an environment anchored in the Middle Ages immersed in a sea of tranquility. It is also declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
You will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos from the small bridge.
In this beautiful square, our guide will explain the history of the Bruges beer.
Here our guide will teach us how to identify the original medieval houses.
In front of Gruuthuse, we will meet the most famous and powerful family in Bruges between the 17th and 18th centuries.
In front of the Old St. John Hospital, our guide will explain how the health system in medieval Bruges worked.
In front of the old Hospital of San Juan, we will find the Church of Our Lady. From the outside, our guide will explain some curiosities of the white marble sculpture of the Virgin and Child created by Michelangelo that is found inside the church.
The so-called Huidenvettersplein, the Tanners' Square, is part, within the medieval complex that is Bruges, of that corner that in history occupies the old trade guilds.
In one of the most charming places in Bruges, our guide will explain the interesting legend of this bridge. They will also have time to take photos.
Everything from here looks like something out of a fairy tale. It is impossible not to resist the temptation to take one of the boats and start our walk through the channels of Bruges at the Muelle del Rosario. I that you would approach this place in the late afternoon, or after dinner. You will take the best memory of this city, which in itself, usually encloses in all those who visit it the best of memories.
Burg Square is the political center of Bruges, a charming place where architecture lovers can enjoy buildings of different styles that have been erected throughout more than a thousand years of history.
In one of the few certified artisan chocolate shops, we will have the opportunity to taste artisan chocolates. Our guide will also tell us about the famous Bruges chocolate and give us some tips to distinguish handmade from industrial chocolate.

We usually choose another Freetour company, but they didn't have it in this town. We had read good reviews of this company and decided on them. The tour, like everyone else, starts at the Markt, or central square where the Belfort or bell tower is. The tour lasts approximately two hours. You go through the center and the guide will explain a little of the history of the city, along with fun stories. Visits of Burg, Huidenvettersplein, Rozenhoedkaai, Bonifacius-Brug, etc. Not bad, but I can't say it was one of the best I've ever done either.
I had booked with another agency and we were late for not finding parking. We found Diogo, a Portuguese boy who took us in. It was a small group, explained everything very well, without looking for the easy joke. Highly recommended.
We did the tour with Jesús de Buendía Tours and loved it. It flew past us! He explained both the story and various curiosities very well. Highly recommended to do it with it.
Great choice to get to know the most emblematic places and stories of Bruges.Diego was a great guide, and the city of Bruges is beautiful.
On the 8th we did a freetour in Bruges with our guide Agnes. The experience of 10, keeping the attention of children and older from minute 1. Dynamic and understood as well as friendly. Made it very enjoyable
We have made the visit to Bruges with Agnes and it has been great, for Agnes’ enthusiasm about this beautiful city for his knowledge of it and for its kindness and simplicity. We were traveling with children and we had the doubt of whether to do free tour or not!, But Inés won them from minute 1 making them participate and that made us enjoy it much more .. of course highly recommended!!
Ines is a machine!! 10/10, impossible to be better. It made everything very enjoyable and fun. We learned a lot
We were touched by a guide who seemed to not have much experience and did not know much about the history of the city. We expected more information about Bruges and its corners! We were very disappointed not to be able to know a little more the history behind such a beautiful city!
We have done a walk of more than two and a half hours with Ana, an Asturian, very knowledgeable and who expressed all her knowledge with great passion, of those that makes you involved in the discourse. She really is a very good communicator. Despite the very cold weather (about -2 degrees) she has been able to make the whole group stay with her. Besides, she has done us a favor, because we had not previously booked and after talking to her she has let us join. Undoubtedly, an Enterprise to repeat and do more tours with them.
Thank you very much Marck, a great experience with a great guide, makes it very enjoyable, recommended 100%.
Undoubtedly the best guided tours!! You always take excursions in other countries but as with Inés none. I recommend 100% Good Day Tours!! Thank you Ines and David the chauffeur who took us who also showed us and recommended places.
We did the Bruges tour with Ana. We went without reservation and let us couple up without problem because the group was not complete. We really liked the way she explained and would repeat a tour with her without a doubt!!!
We have come to Bruges while visiting Ghent, and Anne, our guide, has taught us things from both places. Especially about Bruges, it has earned the listen and the good impression by everyone. Highly recommended.
The tour has been exceptional. Our guide Agnes has explained many things about Bruges and local curiosities. We loved it. The best deal. Thank you very much for the experience.
Today my friend and I have enjoyed a wonderful sightseeing tour of Bruges in which we have not only enjoyed the most important points of the country, but also its history. The trip has been special thanks to Pablo, our tour guide. The passion for tourism and medieval history takes you back to that time when you speak and makes you live it in the first person. I wish everyone were like him and we would love to repeat tomorrow in Ghent:)
Pablo “El Maño”, from Zaragoza, is an exceptional guide, friendly, attentive, and with knowledge before which many of us may not even be up to scratch. His eagerness to share with the tourist his knowledge is worthy of a closed ovation. He lives up to the beauty and tradition of Bruges, giving us a didactic history class of this, which I consider the most beautiful city I have visited so far.
We did a free tour of Bruges with Paloma and it was great. His explanations were very interesting and made the tour enjoyable. The two hours flew by. Highly recommended!
I only have praise for Ana, a nice, beautiful and great professional Asturian. He taught us for more than two hours the beautiful city of Bruges, its history, curiosities and special corners with exceptional mastery. Definitely a great professional.
We were in Bruges doing the free tour and the Inés guide was excellent. A lot of knowledge and enormous kindness. THANK YOU INÉS!!!!!
Pepa was an excellent guide, we arrived late because of a train strike and she integrated us into the tour very quickly giving us a summary of what we missed, and then during the tour she was very friendly and gave us very interesting explanations about local history, art, architecture, etc, as well as recommendations of what to visit and where to eat.
Amazing visit by Bruges from Agnes. Great explanations in the most entertaining way possible. Thanks for your kindness. Greetings to your father, who says he no longer reads your name in the comments:)
We were with Ines and great. Super professional, friendly, rating that you know the city, the explanation totally complete. We really liked the girl from Asturias!!!! Fully recommended.
We toured Bruges with the hand of Sevillian Mark, a born communicator, half actor, half storyteller, who managed to involve the whole group in his explanations. With a leap he moved us to the time of splendor of the city in the fifteenth century and made us part of his search for the beautiful Dorothea, his "love". The walk was very fun and instructive. Your explanations, neat and detailed, both of historical curiosities of this beautiful city and of practical questions that we put to you. By the way, your recommendation to visit the church of Santa Magdalena, unpayable. Congratulations to Buendía for having such brilliant guides.
Very good visit, the guide very nice and funny, helped you follow the visit. I knew all kinds of details about the city.
We have taken a bus trip from Amsterdam to Bruges. Although the journey is long, it is worth it. You have a guide in Spanish. We had José's turn and besides being super friendly he got very involved in us travelers being very comfortable. Many travel tips: where to eat and what to eat, what to visit, etc. Highly recommended
Great day enjoying Bruges. The guide, Dove, fantastic, friendly and fun. From minute 1 he made the visit super enjoyable, mixing historical data, legends and anecdotes. Impossible to lose interest with such a good mix. The city, beautiful.
Yesterday we visited Bruelas. Cristina, our guide, a very attentive and fun person. It was a great tour. He has a very peculiar way of catching people's attention.
Too bad. We stayed the day before with the same Enterprise in Amsterdam and he guide was spectacular (Sergio).Today in witches he guides a certain Ivan better to dedicate himself to something else , the sites he recommended nefarious literally stole us and left us a very bitter aftertaste of the visit in short A SHAME
The visit and the guide (wake) in general very well. The only catch is that they took us to a chocolate shop and the guide told us that the chocolate they made in that shop was entirely artisanal. The chocolate tablets were worth 3.90 euros and then walking around witches we found those same tablets in a bazaar for 3 euros, that is, that chocolate was not artisanal as he told us so we felt a little conned and cheated. I think honesty should go ahead of money. Otherwise the tour was very good, explained the most interesting things about witches and gave us time to visit completely. Bruges is magic!
We made the day trip to Bruges and Super recommended the excursion thanks especially to the guide, Pablo, who made everything very enjoyable and entertaining despite the heat and the number of tourists. A 10.
Absolutely recommended and the guide brilliant!! Thank you Anahis rating you love what you do. Adriana and Miguel de Argentina
Sorry but I didn't like the tour in Bruges (Spanish) with Isabel at all. Extremely boring, and that was only 1 1/2 hours. I have taken tours with other companies and they have been lovely, 4 hrs and they flew past me. With this one we were really disappointed...
Very good visit with Inés. He explained the whole story in a very pleasant and clear way, having us hooked all the time and taking our opinion into account. Surely a good thing to have done it! We have learned and enjoyed a lot for two hours.
It was a fantastic tour. Ana is all enthusiasm and good to do. Your explanations are very clear and very enjoyable. We spent 2 hours and a half very pleasant touring Bruges. Highly recommended. Thank you Ana
Our guide was “Ana de Asturias”, you could tell that she likes what she does, as she explains everything with great desire and passion for what she does. I explain very interesting things about each of these cities and advise places to eat, drink or what things to do! We recommend it. —>ask for Ana de Asturias! Thank you very much and see you soon Moral Merixell😉
We had a great time. The Anais Guide. He explained very well and very cheerful. The city of witches is very nice stone roads. You have to be careful with bicycles and horses. I loved churches and that art. But I'm not coming back.
The city is beautiful and the guide explained everything super well and very pleasant everything give him more work ostia
We did the Tour with Jorge and it was great. The city is beautiful and its explanations have been very illustrative and enjoyable. In addition, he has made different recommendations for places to go in free time both to eat and to visit, trying to adapt to all the alleged. In short, a great day!
We toured Bruges from Brussels. Our guide Beatrice great. Recommended 100% to know the city!
Today we made the excursion to Bruges from Brussels and it was an excellent experience. The very comfortable trip and our two guides, Pili and Sebastian, fantastic. The tour is very well organized. They are very punctual and give a guided tour of about 2 h in Bruges in which you see the essentials of the city. Then you have 4 hours of free time to walk, eat, etc. A great experience that we hope to repeat in other cities.
We have done the tour with Roberto, despite the inclement weather we have had a great time, we have learned a lot
We visited Bruges with the good day free tour and accompanied us on our Diego visit. The visit became very enjoyable and we loved everything Diego told us about the city, you could tell he loved both the city and what he is dedicated to. We would definitely repeat recommend.
I loved the visit, we were given enough time to get acquainted with the city and then tour it on our own with points of interest recommended by the Andrea guide, super friendly and very prepared. I would return and gladly recommend
We have been joined by Anaís and Pablo during the day and really all great! Schedules, information, itinerary... Thank you!
If not for this tour nothing would have been the same. We were very lucky to meet Anais, our guide, who has what few guides have and is, that apart from discovering all the secrets of the place, it makes you feel like you are still at home and not in another different country. We've known every corner of witches up close and we come tremendously in love. Thank you to all the components that accompanied us since leaving Brussels for making our visit more than we would have imagined. Congratulations on your work.
Great, Anahí has conveyed the charm of Bruges, a lovely guide, I would repeat once and a thousand times.
I want to thank Jesús de Albacete for making our day in Bruges unique, managing to show in such a short time all the charms of the city in a very professional and warm way at the same time. Nothing to say but thank you and congratulate Jesus. 👏🏻 Thank you so much for the good vibe and all the tips!
The truth is that we were a group of 9 friends (along with more people who came on the bus, logical) and we got Pili as a guide, which by the way very nice. We had a great time, we really liked the city, it is beautiful, and the guide made the tour super enjoyable and fun! It went super fast... He recommended sites for free time in Bruges and let us take pictures before the explanations! In addition, he then recommended many places to see in Brussels from breweries to tourism, to how we could get back to the airport the day we left.
We did the free witch tour with JESUS and although the weather was not pleasant, Jesus knew how to inform us about the beautiful city of witches, as well as making very good recommendations of restaurants and places to go.
