Totally recommend the tour. Interesting stories about the city and free tasting of fries, beer, waffles, and beer. You should definitely tip the guide.

Itinerary
We meet on the main square of Bruges for a short introduction and a taste of fries at one of the green stalls on the square. After our guide tells you the story of the fries, you'll never call them French fries again!
Next on the menu are waffles, a popular treat since medieval times. We'll tell you the origins of the food and offer you a taste.
In this artisanal shop you get to taste a delicious local candy that we try to keep hidden from the rest of the world.
Next on the menu is a chocolate treat, handmade in Bruges. Our guide will tell you the story of chocolate and offer a taste of truffles, delicious balls with soft chocolate filling.
The tour ends in the most romantic brewery of Bruges with an explanation of the beer brewing process and a tasting of their main brew: the Bourgogne des Flandres beer!

Martin was very knowledgeable and helpful and made our experience extra special. Lots of useful tips given.
Great experience, the guide was great
The food part of the tour was great. Got a sample of dark and milk chocolate, 2 kinds of waffles, fries with sauces and beer. However, the tour guide did not show up for 15 minutes after departure time, even though guests were told to show up 10 minutes prior. Repeated calls were made by someone in the organization to figure out what was happening, while the group stood around waiting. This was incredibly unprofessional, and for those of us who had appointments afterwards, having the tour start late caused unnecessary stress. The tour guide was friendly and shared some interesting info about the history of the Belgium specialties we tried.
The tour was great. Our guide Astrid, was very knowledgeable. We had about 20 people and she did a good job keeping the group together, and giving us background and history at points that everyone could hear. I would definitely recommend.
Delicious and informative! It is free and the sample provided for free during the tour helps promote local business. I returned to some of the places because their products were some tasty, particularly the fries with the stew. Thank you Martin for guiding us.
Martin was a very good host! We learned a lot! :)
Amazing guide and fantastic places.
Our guide Patrick was so informative and fun, we had far more Tastings then we expected and overall it was really great value, it was definitely the best way to really experience brugge. It was the perfect amount of time and a really friendly atmosphere, there where only 10 people in our group which really made it feel personal, Thanks again patrick, we really recommend this experience, The Osieck-Heighway family
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and also fun! She made the tour so enjoyable. The food we sampled was absolutely delicious, and we had more than expected! Everything about this tour was perfect.
Maarten took us on such a great afternoon food and drink tour. We had already done the historical tour with Legends the day before and loved it so decided to also do this one. Got some great history and fantastic value for money trying chocolate, BELGIAN fries, different types of waffles, and a beer. Thanks!
The tour with Juan was excellent. His explanation was very detailed, you learn a lot about the city, and the tastings were delicious. I recommend taking this tour if you are traveling to Bruges.
Our fantastic tour guide, Natalie, was very informative and effortlessly guided us around Bruges. Her young assistant was also very knowledgeable. Great tasting experiences with lots of interesting facts shared. Highly recommend
Really enjoyed this tour. Martin was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us tips on where to go to get the best food.
I was in Bruges for only one day and decided to take the tasting tour, it couldn't be better, the guide Juan really surprised me, he has the ability to catch you with the story of every food you try, I totally recommend it.
Our experience with Astrid, our gastronomic tour guide was quite fun. We ended up being a very small group, only 3 people, including my husband and I but that only meant more food for us :) Since it was a smaller group it was very nice to talk more with the tour guide. We ended up having a nice variety of Belgian products to try including 2 types of waffles, pralines, fries and beer. As residents of Belgium, some things weren't so astounding to us but the vibes were nonetheless very nice and Astrid was very nice in explaining the better places to get waffles, fries, pralines and beer. The tour ended with a nice cup of Belgian beer that was very tasty and a fun chat. The tour wasn't too long and just enough to get a little taste of the main bites of Bruges. The tour itself is free apart from the little fee you pay to the platform you book through and it is based on a "tip to pay" basis so it falls to you and how much you enjoyed the tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone who has just arrived in Bruges, and it's their first time in Belgium and thus hasn't tried yet the 4 most important menu items, waffles, Belgian pralines, beer and fries.
We did the tour with Juan, who explained part of the history of Bruges to us while he let us try waffles, chocolate and the beers. He also recommended us places to visit and where to have lunch. I truly recommend it
Patrick was a great tour guide and you could tell he loves his city, the history and sharing all things Brugge. The food tour gave us a chance to learn the history of fries, waffles, chocolate and beer! It was the perfect amount of time!
Patrick was absolutely AMAZING! A total gem, so sweet and so knowledgeable, very funny and accommodating, the perfect guide. We love him!! The Paz family
Amazing experience with Patrick. Very knowledgeable, lots of fun and a really enjoyable meander through Brugges with food and beer!
Terrific foods! Lots of fun & very informative. Patrick is the best!
Natalie introduced us to a variety of types of food & terrific vendors in different parts of Bruges. She provided relevant historical context using storytelling & humor. We stayed for an additional beer & snack at the last stop & returned to a chocolatier to buy more delicious chocolates.
The trip was cancelled due to lack of participation
There wasn't enough participants for the food tour to go ahead so it was cancelled. We did have the option to join the historical tour if we had wanted.
A lovely little wander around the main tourist area of Bruges where we learnt about some of the history and origins of the local food via Giuseppe, our lovely young guide. Getting to try samples on the way round was a bonus and, of course, we found ourselves in the brewery at the end where we stayed to enjoy more drinks! The tour guides are all friendly and knowledgeable and the tour took about 1.5 hours. Bear in mind that they all work off tips and that the tour will take you on a short loop from the main market square down to the canal and back to the market. As we arrived early, we did this loop before hand whilst killing time so you may want to book an early tour or explore a different area before the tour begins. Overall, this was a lovely little experience and a nice way to see part of Bruges with some history behind it.
Giuseppe was a fantastic tour guide, it was the first walking tour we have done in Europe and we really enjoyed his humour and knowledge. His language skills in both Spanish and English were great.
Maartin, our guide, delivered an excellent tasting tour. We learnt a lot, ate a lot and finished it all off with a beer - perfect!
Amazing tour and lots to information from Maarten
Martin was awesome. Great tour, very informative and tastings were wonderful
Hilde was lovely. She showed us all the good spots in town and she knows her city well.
Martin was an excellent host and took us on some of the hidden food gems in Bruges, but also provided nice history and Belgium’s relationship with Fries, Beer, chocolate, and the waffles. I recommend the waffle (at his place only) with vanilla ice cream, chocolate, and caramel. My wife and I were unable to get the same waffle experience in Brussels, lol. This is a gratuity based tour and he kept it at 90 minutes which is in line with my attention span. We were happy to contribute $20 each, but I’m sure he would be happy with more:). The samples were all delicious. Excellent intro into the city!
A great way to taste a few of Bruges favorite delights! We really enjoyed the way Patrick explained the history behind the waffles and chocolate. Patrick was engaging, responsive, and a delight to spend a couple of hours with. Highly recommend if you have a couple of hours and are ready to taste some of Bruges finest.
The tour was great and Giuseppe was a knowledgeable guide who made the experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish.
Lovely food tour with a little bit of history. We found out about hisory and making of waffles chocolate and pralines. And beer!
Lovely lovely experience! Martin was cool! Very informative tour. Will do it again!
Very enjoyable tour. We got nice tips about where to gk for the best foodie experiences as well as interesting history about Bruges. Well worth it! Martin was a fantastic guide!!

Fantastic tour with Patrick. Informative and yummy tasters . Highly recommend.
Jonathan, the tour guide was excellent. It was a great start to the day as we got to see much of Bruge, and we got lots of great recommendations for our visit. I would definitely recommend it!
We did a walking gastronomic tour in Bruges and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The selection of stops was thoughtfully curated, combining authentic local flavors with charming spots around the city. The highlight of the tour was definitely our guide, Mauricio. His knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm made the whole experience feel special. He didn’t just explain the food, but also shared the history and traditions of Bruges in such an engaging and enjoyable way. You can truly tell he is passionate about what he does, and it comes through in every detail. Thanks to him, we discovered places and flavors we would have never found on our own. Absolutely recommend this experience if you want to explore Bruges from a different and delicious perspective.
Had an excellent time. Hilde, our guide, was a very knowledgeable local and took us to the best places for chocolate, waffles and fries
Wonderful tour with Natalie, it was a mix between history, sightseeing and delicacies.
We did a Tour with Maartin. It was gratis!
The guide was knowledgeable and fun. Although I had hoped to eat a little more food, we did try several different things and had a beverage at the brewery.
Very enjoyable and informative, exceeded expectations. Even on a bitterly cold New Year’s Day, with many of the attractions closed, it was an enjoyable experience and gave us a great overview of Brugge.
The „Taste of Bruges“ Tour with Martin was a lot of fun. We tasted delicious Chocolates, Belgian Waffles, Belgian fries and Belgian beer and Martin also gave us some historical facts as well. Highly recommend this tour.
Martin took us for a fantastic walking tour of the sights and flavours of Bruges - fascinating, delicious and enlightening. Well worth the time and a great experience.
