Excellent fun time with our guide, Tanny! There ended up just being my friend and I on the tour so we enjoyed an unexpected private tour. Learned a lot of history and really enjoyed the walk around town. They were nice enough to coordinate the end of this tour with the start of a brewery tour we had that afternoon. Tanny took us right to the brewery. Would highly recommend for enjoying snacks while getting a good look around town.
It was an absolutely amazing tour that started as a 3 hour tour and turned into a 4 hour tour! Maria was one of the most knowledgeable, passionate and enjoyable tour guides we have experienced in our extensive travels in Europe! It was a very high quality tour at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended!
We booked the tour weeks out. We arrived at the time and location, and no one was there. When I went to message the operator, a message appeared from the previous day asking if we would be able to change our time. There was nothing to say the tour had been cancelled or would be if we were not able to change our time. They offered us a new time 2 hours after our original start. We messaged to say we could do the 2 hour delay. The operator confirmed and said the guide would meet us then. Thirty minutes before the new time, we received a message the operator could no longer do a new time, and we were offered a time 3 hours later. There was never an explanation as to why the original time was unable to honored, and no attempt to call direct to let us know of the change. We decided to cancel the tour and receive a refund as we have already adjusted plans to try and accommodate and now we were losing time in the city. This just seemed like a very unprofessional way to handle whatever the original problem was.
We were lucky, and it was just the two of us on our tour. Our guide Maria was wonderful, knowledgable and excited to share about the food, the history, and the sights.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Maria. She was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the history of the city and region, as well as the various foods and beer that we experienced. We toured on a Friday, yet she was able to quickly get us into very busy dining venues. The food and beer were wonderful and the tour delightful
Maria was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and lots of good food and beer
Tour guide did not show up, waited about 30 minutes. Could initially not get anyone to respond to my phone calls. Calling guide only went to voice mail. Finally had to call new reservations with Viator to speak with someone. Waiting on refund. Done many tours with Viator, first disappointment.
Maria provided us a wealth of historical knowledge, and the food was delicious. There was a problem with the guide for our morning tour, so we were shifted to the afternoon group. Our schedule was flexible, so this wasn’t a problem for us. However, communication in the morning was difficult and confusing, leaving us wondering what was happening. This part of the tour, overall, was very poorly handled.
Great tour with Maria. Had waffles, chocolates, hot chocolate, frites beer and bitterballen while learning a lot about Brugge history.
We really enjoyed our history and food tour of Brugge. Our guide, Maria, offered lots of interesting information about Brugge, and the food and beer stops were good, too.
Great sampling of classic Bruges food. Maria was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable and really brought the place to life - highly recommend!
Arthur was great! He provided great history and culinary experiences. The chocolate, beer, waffles, and fries were yummy!
Maria shared her love for this city and culture. She managed to keep my teens engaged for hours. We really enjoyed our time with her. She went out of her way to find us the best spot to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this tour!
Guide never showed up. There was no communication either before or after. No apology. We had limited time, so this really ruined our time in this great little city. We wasted precious time waiting when we could have done something else. As we stood at the designated meeting place, there was another family standing there with the same experience. Not sure if it was the same tour operator, but having been stood up at the same meeting spot 30 minutes apart is at least an amazing coincidence. I would give zero stars if it was an option.
A fair bit of walking & standing. Only get to fast 1 chocolate but it is good. Take a hat as you are in full sun on the boat .
Fun food tour with knowledgeable and friendly local guide Maria. The food was very good, but the streets were very crowded which slowed us down a lot at times. I’d recommend avoiding Friday/Saturday if possible, though it would still be a fun time if you have to brave the crowds.
The city of Brugge is beyond stunning. It has been perfectly preserved for over 500 years. The tour guide was one of the best we ever had and we are extensive travelers. She was super knowledgeable and passionate. The food, beer, chocolate, etc. were excellent. I could not recommend the tour or the city enough.
Two cancelled food tours in three days, with only an hour notice. This is unacceptable service and we will be unlikely to schedule more tours with this company. There were no offers made to reschedule or try to find another food tour for us. We leave Bruges tomorrow. VERY DISAPPOINTING SERVICE.
A fantastic tour of Bruges with Maria! Highly recommended to sample food and get some history from a passionate tourguide!
Maria had lots of knowledge and passion about Bruges and we throughly enjoyed her sharing that with us
We arrived at the EXACT meet up location 15 minutes before the tour. Inexplicably we could not locate the tour guide and the tour company was of little help. Why the guide didn't call or text me is beyond belief as this would have easily solved the problem. We were meeting near the busy market square which was full of people and vendors making it difficult to navigate. The tour left without us and the tour company refused to give a refund. Viator was of no help whatsoever. We have taken MANY excursions and never had a problem finding our guide. The reputable companies have their guides reach out to locate the tour participants. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement as we were looking forward to this tour while in Bruges.
Amazing tour. Jk was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable local, who brought us off the beaten path and gave us so much information about Bruges and some great food. He was very patient with our kids and answered all of our questions. The tour pace was perfect, with plenty of history and information with food stops dispersed throughout. We feel we got a great feel for Bruges after this tour.
Fantastic tour… really enjoyable Interesting facts. Greet beer and hot chocolate. Cheese and chips. Lovely town. Very informative
We enjoyed listening to the history, May our tour guide was lovely, very informative & gave us tips on other excursions. Also the hot chocolate at Oliviers was exceptional!
Brenda was fantastic, lively, engaging Walked at a good pace and she gave us insider tips eg look for the cocoa bean of excellence award when purchasing chocolate. First tasting was hot chocolate at Oliviers… really rich - delicious , especially the spicy one we picked, the local waffles, lamb balls and frites were good too! This interspersed with history… Flemish pride in the canals, the hospital and the buildings around the central square. Terminated at a beer tasting in the beer museum We didn’t need supper! Would highly recommend
We had a lovely walk round Bruges learning about the city and stopping off for hot chocolate, chips, waffles and beer. Brenda was a lovely host, knowledgeable and informative, and it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon following her around!
Brenda was really informative about the history and facts of Bruges. We learnt lots and the walk helped us get our bearings in the city which set us up well for the rest of our trip. Enjoyable food stops.
Brenda was our guide. She texted us just prior to our tour to let us know how to readily meet up with her. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We were the only two people on her tour, yet we felt as though she was giving it her all. We had a lovely day and learned many interesting facts pertaining to the history of Bruges.
Our guide, Brenda, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Brugge. Enjoyed her tour and all of the amazing food experiences. Would highly recommend.
This was a wonderful tour. May was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Bruges and it’s notable good. Come hungry for this tour! This tour was a great way to get to know Bruges.
We really enjoyed this tour. Brenda did a great job explaining history. She was personable and very lovely. There was so much food.
May took us in a wonderful walk through Brugge punctuated with food stops to try the best of traditional food and beer. May was great company and really interesting. We had a fun three hours.
I had a great tour with my fourteen year old that included a lot of interesting historical context with yummy food around Bruges. We enjoyed classic Belgian fries, beer, hot chocolate, and waffles. Our guide, Brenda, was very kind and very informative. Good way to learn about the history of Bruges and explore the Belgian food staples along the way!
I had the pleasure of going on a food tour in Bruges with Brenda, and it was absolutely fantastic! Exploring the culinary delights of the city with her was an incredible experience. From tasting delicious local dishes to learning about the food culture, Brenda's knowledge and passion truly shone through. I also had the opportunity to take a bike tour with Tanny and I must say, they make a great team of guides. Both Brenda and Tanny were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone had an amazing time. The combination of the food tour with Brenda and the bike tour with Tanny made my visit to Bruges truly memorable. If you're looking to experience the best of Bruges, I highly recommend joining Brenda's food tour and Tanny's bike tour. You won't be disappointed!
There was no highlight. It was disappointing. There could have a lot more historical information. Food was fair. Chocolate was good
Would have liked a local with a more in depth knowledge of Brugees. When I asked questions the guide had no idea. It would have helped if she spoke better English. She may have been excellent in her native tongue, but of course of no use to us.
Fantastic tour with very engaging and informative guide called May. Lots of food stops so don’t be full when you go! Learnt lots about the city too - highly recommended.
"T," as she is called, was an amazing guide! She has a tremendous knowledge of local and regional history, culture, and language. She is friendly, intelligent, interesting, and worldly, having lived all over the world. She shared her favorite places in Bruges with us for "Belgian" fries, hand-crafted artisan chocolate, the best waffle I have ever eaten, and mulled wine and beer at the Christmas Market. She spent Christmas Day with us, and we are so grateful to her for giving us such a memorable and special day.
The food! Nice to sample some bitteballs and the hot chocolate was amazing. Enough information to give an overview of Brugge without being overwhelming.
The tour started very rainy but ended up sunny and warm! We appreciate all the history and information we received from our tour guide “T”. The waffles and fries were tasty and with the exception of a small chocolate detour, the tour was lovely! Thank you for all your insight T! We appreciated it!
Knowledgeable and friendly guide who provides a history of Bruges to go along with some great food and beverage offerings.
We had an amazing time with Tanny, I couldn't believe how the time flew by. It was a really special tour experience to blend learning so much about the history of the area, plus getting to try different foods and drinks along the way. We did this tour first thing on our trip, and it was so helpful being able to spot the best chocolate shops and cool things on buildings during the rest of our time in Brugges. My mother has a mobility handicap and Tanny was very patient with her and adjusted her schedule to make sure we wouldn't feel rushed. Tanny also stayed in contact with me after the tour and helped me figure out plans for our next day. I really can't recommend working with her enough! A small side note, do be aware of how you're booking that it might not be a private tour with just your family based on how you book it. I found this process a little confusing. Tanny is very responsive though, so if you're unsure of your booking just send her a message. It's well worth it!
The food tour with DK was very informative and tasty. We experienced a nice variety of food, chocolate and beer while exploring the city.
Our guide JK was excellent! Very intimate tour with only 8 people. We stopped along the root to enjoy waffles, beer and chocolate, beer and cheese, and visited two breweries. JK gave us a great perspective of the city. Highly recommend this tour!!
Tanny was awesome!! Made the history fun and interesting, food was amazing. Very accommodating. She has a diverse knowledge of cultures and brought a unique view of Brugge. Her English was great!
Great choice of food and beer stops, excellent knowledge of Brugge! Guide was personable snd energetic!
Tanny is amazing. We had a great time, she was very knowledgeable, the snacks was amazing and had a great knowledge of The history of Brugge/ Bruges/Brujas and was on hand to answer any questions or give us tips and recommendations on what to do and where to go on our trip. Great value for money!
Wonderful food tour, the city was super busy but Kromer knew her way around, you cover a lot of ground + great Belgium snacks and a lot of beer. Highly recommended!
My sister and I loved everything: waffles, coffee and hot chocolate, fries, beer (and cheese "-) Our guide, Tanny, who IS "Latin Tours Brugge" is very good! Lively, easy going, knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had a great couple of hours with her.
