We had a small group and Alan was an amazing, engaging and friendly guide. He truly loves and respects his city and it was a pleasure learning about the history and also current events, as we had questions. He gave us recommendations and suggestions which made the rest of our stay even more memorable. Next time we come we are renting bikes for the whole stay!

Itinerary
On this 2.5-hour guided bike tour, you'll explore Bruges with a local guide who knows the city inside out. You'll see some of the city's best-known sights, hear the stories behind them and get a feel for the Bruges that exists beyond the postcard.
We don't follow one rigid route or give every group the exact same tour. Every Quasimundo guide has their own favourite places, stories and way of showing you Bruges. That means your tour can feel personal rather than rehearsed. Your guide might point out a detail you've walked past without noticing, share a story that isn't in your guidebook or take you somewhere you wouldn't have found by yourself.
Along the way, you'll discover a mix of Bruges' iconic sights, local history, hidden corners and everyday life.
We've been taking people around Bruges by bike since 2002. More than 20 years later, our philosophy is still simple: great bikes, knowledgeable local guides and a tour that feels like you're discovering Bruges with someone who actually lives here.
Whether you're visiting Bruges for the first time or you've already explored the main sights, this is a relaxed way to see more of the city and understand what makes it special.

Very friendly and informative. Great way to get to see and learn about the city.
My wife and I joined Jan, our local guide, on Monday 7th September. Jan was a very good guide. He gave us an excellent history of Bruges delivered with good humour. This is a great way to see a beautiful city. I would highly recommend this trip.
A good trip - a delayed start while the guide was sorting out people who chanced their booking. Enough info to understand the history and quirks of Bruges. The windmills were a bit of a trek and underwhelming.. Kim was a great guide
Aliam was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. Great way to see the countryside and learn more about the area. Highly recommend tour and Aliam
It was a fun experience that allowed us to learn about the history, architecture and other tidbits that only a local would know about Brugge. Our guide, Koen, is very passionate about introducing people to the City he has lived in for 40 years.
A great tour, highly recommemded. Koen was an excellent local guide, knowledgeable on history, geography, culture and even windmill design ! Thank you very much, D &K 082026
A great way to see the sites with our tour guide Kim who was very knowledgeable. As a non-cyclist this was at a manageable pace and I felt supported and encouraged to enjoy this experience. Kim was very friendly, easy to hear and presented well.
My second time doing these bike tours. Guide was Kim whose knowledge was excellent and a great tour with family & friends. This tour covered many different areas than my first tour. 100% recommend if your reading this review, great sights and easy cycling pace for my friends that hadn’t ridden a bike for 25 years!!
Kim was an amazing guide! We learned so much about the city and the history and saw places we wouldn’t have otherwise. Highly recommend.
Outstanding all around. Highly recommend! Kim was fantastic. Great tour and bikes were in excellent shape.
Kim was a great guide. This a a beautiful tour through the countryside. (We got switched to the e-bike tour through the countryside outside of Bruges)
We had the best time with Alain! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and we really enjoyed his company. He was passionate and knew his home turf so well. He led us down the most beautiful tracks and paths and explained in great detail the history and geography of the area. We would definitely recommend this experience to others - it was the highlight of our trip!
From the minute we met Jos, our guide, we knew it was going to be a fun tour. Jos, a long time local of Bruges, took us to places that you do not cover with a regular walking tour & had some great stories to tell. If you want to go to every landmark like a traditional tour then maybe this is not the tour for you. Jos actually did cover many landmarks that you see on a walking tour but oh so much more as well. I can only rate this tour 5 out of 5 but Jos needs a 10 🙌
Our tour guide was amazing! As we were the only English on the tour it was like a VIP bonus! We were able to ask lots of questions, spend longer in some spots and it was a beautiful day for a bike ride in Bruges!
Jen (Yen) was a fantastic tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable in his history of Bruges. A must do tour!
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Jens, was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun on our 3 hour tour. This is an especially great tour for history nerds. I highly recommend taking this tour early in your visit as it is an excellent introduction to Bruges. Jens also had great recommendations for restaurants off the beaten tourist path, which was super helpful later in our trip!
Went to war sights on day one , bike tour day 2 , Kim our guide was excellent very knowledgeable, and pleasant. Saw more of Bruges tha.n expected. Well worth doing.
Kim shared so much history and interesting information about Bruges. The tour was lovely and easy for any level of bike rider. The city is very bike friendly and seems to be a popular mode of transportation.
Excellent guide taking you through history of the city (with stops) with a lovely ride along the bike path around the historically portion of the city.
It is the perfect and easy way to see Burges! Jens gave an informative and well-paced bike tour. He grew up in Burges and knows is well! The tour was two and a half hours long which was just the right amount. He had taught history for years and brought great credibility —and some humor— to the tour. I would recommend this to family and friends! What an enjoyable day.!
We really enjoyed this bike tour! Our guide, Kim, shared lots of history and stories along the way and she knew how to get us to the must-see sites before the rest of the crowds. Unlike a walking tour, we were able to see much more of beautiful Bruges than we otherwise would have if we’d just taken a walking tour.
One of the best e-bike tours my wife and I have ever experienced. While it’s easy to hope for a smooth ride and great weather, what truly makes a tour exceptional is the guide—and without a knowledgeable, savvy guide, you’ll never maximize the experience. We were fortunate to have all three, and Kim, our guide, was on another level. Truly a savant. Bar none, one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had—and we’ve done around 20 e-bike tours across the world. If you’re looking to gain the equivalent of a 12-week college course in just three hours, make sure you book your tour with Kim. We’re incredibly grateful. Disclaimer: I rarely write reviews, but when you come across a rockstar like Kim, it’s a must.
Great way to see Brugges, so much history and beautiful surroundings. Our tour guide made it so interesting, John in English.
Best way to see the city. I would advise you do this tour on your first day as it really does dude you every corner of the city. Kim our tour guide was very patient and knowledgeable. Loved every minute. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you.
A really informative tour hosted by Kim, We cycled round the key sites of Brugge with very well delivered commentary at each stop. A great introduction to a beautiful town!
We had a fantastic bike tour in Bruges with our guide, Jost. He’s an affable, funny and knowledgeable local who clearly loves his city, and his passion made the experience unforgettable. Even though it was very cold, we still had an amazing time and learned so much about Bruges. The bikes were comfortable, the route was beautiful, and the coffee stop was the perfect warm-up. Highly recommend!
Our guide, Jos.T, what a legend!! Knowledgeable hilarious and a great storey teller. Bruge by bicycle was a delight. A very flat town so riding the bikes was easy! Well maintained bicycles made cycling smooth and fun 😁 Would highly recommend 👌
Jos is potentially one of the funniest, most entertaining, and knowledgable guides I have ever come across. You'd be lucky to spend some time with him in Brugge. Money well spent.
Very nice tour hitting high lights as well as other very interesting tidbits about Bruges! Nice pace and Kim was a delightful guide!
Bruges is a beautiful place to explore by bike. It's easy to navigate and we felt completely safe. Our guide Kim was friendly, fun, and well informed on the history of Bruges. We highly recommend this experience!
Great ride around beautiful Bruges! Very great historical and current info from our guide. Next visit we will do the longer ride!
Kim was an excellent tour guide, informative and engaging, with touches of humour. She made sure we were safe and comfortable, and was very responsive to our comments and questions. She knows so much about the city. The bikes were good and it was a great experience and would thoroughly recommend, as you see so much in just a short time.
Our tour was the perfect way to see this beautiful city and learn about its rich history. Our guide Kim was fun and knowledgeable—even my 15 year old was engaged in her stories and enjoyed pedaling around the city traveling through time.
We took the Bike tour arranged by our cruise ship and it was the best excursion of our vacation. Joost was extremely informative as well as entertaining. The scenery was beautiful, the ride was fun, and Joost even treated us all to a beer in Damme midway through our ride. Highly recommend this tour.
This day of biking was the best day of vacation by far. It was easy, fun and the scenery was beautiful the entire time. We biked from.Brugge to Damne and had a beverage in DAMNE
Great tour and informative …useful to get a little bit of insight . Our guide Kim was excellent and told us how to deal with the aggressive horse drawn cart drivers! And to understand a bit about the complicated relationship between the Belgians and French!😂
Good fun tour. Our Guide Peter was very knowledgeable & entertaining. Small city so riding distances were quite short. More fun than walking.
Kim was great. A really nice your around the city of which Kim is a superb ambassador. As a local she tries to give you an idea of the psychi of the average Bruggenaer.
A brilliant couple of hours with Peter as our guide. He gave us a factual and amusing introduction to the history and buildings in Bruges, with lots of funny anecdotes. It was a leisurely cycle, plenty of stops and only a small group, so we felt safe at all times. We were helped to get the right bike for us, bikes were good and sturdy. Would highly recommend, it's a great way to see the city, much better than a walking tour.
Kim was a fantastic guide taking us on an easy 8 km, 2.5 hour bike tour around Bruges. We booked 2 days ahead and had a small group of 8 including the guide. The bikes were in good condition. We saw lots of the historic sights around the center of town, with Kim providing excellent descriptions and historical stories in English and Dutch, with photos of paintings and other important objects on her iPad for all to see. We then veered south to the canal around the edge of town where we rode through a lovely park and saw 2 of the 4 Bruges windmills. It was a great way to see the town, and Kim's local advice on restaurants and businesses was excellent. Even our teenage daughter enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
Joost was an amazing tour guide, he gave us an in depth insight into Bruges and its history and gave us good advice on places to go. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Easy city ride - the cars and pedestrians constantly share with bikes so no trouble with getting around. Our guide, Joost, was a fabulous (true) storyteller and his expert knowledge on both the city and the Mediaeval Ages in general was a great addition to our time in Bruges.
His was a great guide and the tour gets you into the countryside quickly. It went longer than 4 hours, but that wasn’t a problem. I highly recommend this experience. Great value and stopping for a beer was a great experience.
Fresh air, nice bicycles and windmills! It was a perfect day. Jos and Isabella were knowledgeable and accommodating to everyone in the group. About 15 km ride on flat terrain.
Fantastic tour of a beautiful city! Peter was so knowledgable and engaging. Learned so much about Bruges. The bike ride was flat and so enjoyable, even with a little rain. Absolutely recommend!
I had a super nice and interesting bicycle tour with local guide Jan through Bruges. Jan is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, with a lot of humour, charm and knowledge about the "big history" of Belgium and Bruges, but also about all kind of funny and interesting details of history. On the bike, you get a great view of the main sights of Briges. I very much enjoyed it and would very much recommend Bajabikes and guide Jan and colleagues, thank you!
A brilliant cycling tour round Bruges hosted by the brilliant Jost. Despite the rain, he made it a really interesting couple of hours with his stories of Bruges and ideas of places to visit.
Peter was an awesome guide - this was the best guided tour I took on my recent 2-week trip to Europe covering several different cities! Peter was a wealth of information and very passionate about Bruges. He was also funny and made us laugh! In particular I really enjoyed seeing the harbor area and re-creation of the human hamster-wheel built for unloading cargo (I later saw this depicted in a painting in town!). The Van Eyck Plaza was also a treat to see. At two and a half hours in length, this was a great overview of the town while leaving plenty of time to explore Bruges the rest of the day. Biking on the cobblestones was also not an issue at all (not too bumpy). I give this tour my full recommendation and salute Peter for a job well done!
Wonderful way to see the city! We had a great tour, traveling with two children who loved it. We were taken round lots of historic sites including some windmills. Would highly recommend this tour and the company!
