If you are dairy free, this is the workshop for you. They did an excellent job accommodating my dietary restriction, with a special dairy free ganache just for me and the option to have a dairy free hot chocolate. If you're a solo traveler (like me) you're allowed to do the workshop yourself rather than being paired up with a random group, which I appreciated. However, we did have a large class and some of the instructions were a little unclear so it was difficult to flag down the instructor for help.
We had Sabina as our teacher. She provided a great experience and some history as to how Belgium became the leading chocolate maker! 2.5-3 hrs, a little messy but fun! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
An absolutely perfect answer to a rainy day. This workshop was so informative.. our teacher was amazing and welearned a lot.
This was a very fun experience and I would highly recommend! Meerena was a wonderful host and made the experience fun and informativez
We had a really great afternoon on the praline and mendiant workshop. Our host was Fu and he was very friendly and witty. He made sure everyone knew what they were doing by demonstrating first and then coming round to check on everyone. He was a perfectionist and made sure everyone's praline shells were right before putting them in the refrigerator. Our chocolates turned out perfectly 👌. Would definitely recommend this activity.
Would definitely recommend for anyone in Bruges - Sabina was entertaining and very knowledgeable about chocolate! Plus, you had great dairy and plant-based options for making chocolate!
What a fun experience!! Our leader was friendly, helpful, and knowledegable. We enjoyed meeting others in this small group activity. The chocolate was delicious, and we came home with a surprisingly large amount!! Would highly recommend this!
What a fun time. Make your own Pralines! Very handsome on. Our instructor was excellent and guided us every step of the way. We left with a small box of our own chocolates. Highly recommended!
The facilitator was pleasant and competent but not engaging. A little history of why/how chocolate making got to Belgium would have been nice. Too many steps were shown quickly and it was hard to follow
Loved the experience of making chocolate. Lots of fun and the instructor was very knowledgeable. Well worth trying
Great experience all round. Get to make a lot of chocolates! Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Well organized and worth the money. We came away with a box of homemade candy we made ourselves. They even looked professional. Teacher was fun, patient and efficient.
It was a wonderful experience. Sabina was a great instructor and stepped in when I was doung something incorrectly. The quality of the chocolate and options to fill your chocolates was plenty. I left with 30 pieces, plus a large chocolate bark.
This was a really fun and relaxed way to spend a couple of hours in Brugge. The workshop was engaging without being too serious, and you leave with a box of chocolates you’ve made yourself, which is a nice touch. The only reason I gave it four stars rather than five was the quality of the chocolate itself. Once we got home and actually ate more of it, we didn’t think the chocolate was particularly great. That said, the experience itself was a lot of fun and I’d definitely recommend it as an enjoyable afternoon activity while in Brugge.
Mereena was the reason this class was enjoyable! With only four of us, it could have been a dud. But instead, she connected us and we interacted as a team. It was the best learning experience e yet!
Very good workshop to learn about belgian choclate making. I think we were lucky as there was only us and one other couple in our workshop so it was like a private session. Informative , educational and you walk away with a box full of choclate!
Sasha ran a great workshop she is a chocolatier. . Fun experience in Brugge. Our group loved it. Many choices for praline fillings. Great history of Belgian chocolates.
What an amazing authentic Brugges experience! The chocolate was exquisite and making them ourselves was an even better experience. I’d highly recommend this tour/experience.
Tons of fun learning how to make chocolates. Tina, our host made the experience very interactive and fun despite the lack of our listening to her very well provided instructions
What a GREAT class! Our instructor was fantastic and so fun! We learned a lot about making chocolate and had such a great time. I highly recommend this class if you are in Bruges!
This was beyond my expectations!! We lucked out with a small group of 6. Our guide Junior was so fun and helpful. We made tons of chocolates and learned a lot about the process. I’m so glad we did this!
We had a lovely couple of hours making chocolates. Chris was very friendly and explained everything very well. We were a small group which was nice as there was plenty of room and time for more questions. The hot chocolate was delicious and the ones we made will not make it home!
Very fun. Instructor was helpful and knowledgeable and had fun with the group. Very personable and patient with explaining the process.
It is a small group of 8, usually work in pairs. Excellent chocolate making host and guide. You work standing around a table. Not wheel chair accessible but if you can manage 2 entry steps it is well worth the effort. It is 3 hours of chocolate making including a little down time to sit and listen to some chocolate making facts while your creations cool in the fridge. It was a great deal of fun.
Very enjoyable. We had fun and came away with a lot of chocolate. Of course while delicious, it’s not amazing like in the shops, but really you shouldn’t expect that. Those shops charge a premium because you can’t reproduce their produce at home. Go do this for the fun of it.
More chocolate than you know what to do with, and you learn how to make it into pralines. Plenty of opportunities for experimenting, and artistic expression:)
We had such a wonderful time at the chocolate workshop. The workshop was about 3.5 hours. We took home about 25-30 pieces of Belgium chocolate. The hot chocolate we needed the tour with was delicious.
Excellent hands on class to learn how to make 2 different types of chocolates. Close to the city center.
We had such a wonderful time learning how to make delicious chocolate candies. We loved our instructor (I forget her name). She was so nice and explained everything so well. We also loved making connections with the other two couples at our cooking table. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Brugge.
This workshop was so much fun and the chocolates we made to take home were delicious! The dozen who were there on our day included 4 children (ages 7 - 13) so it's a great experience for all ages!
This was a great experience for beginners or non-beginners. I would highly recommend while visiting Bruges. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient.
It's messy but fun. Everyone in the class was friendly. People were from numerous countries. There was downtime as candy needed to be refrigerated/frozen. Our candies came out quite well. I did have some difficulty understanding the instructor.
Great experience and great teacher. Loved learning how to make Pralines and Genache. We had so much fun and had alot of chocolate to take home with us.
Sabina was outstanding!!! Her class was exceptional. We made delicious chocolates, sampled plenty during the class, and brought a LOT home. Not to mention the delicious hot chocolate. Highly recommend this class!!
Very interesting and delicious experience.
A lot of fun and a lot of knowledge! Our group leader knew exactly what she was doing and it was fun to follow her.
A fun 2.5 hours of learning to make pralines and taste, taste, taste. A small group of six people was really enjoyable. The instructor was very hands on to guide us through the process. We worked with a very high quality chocolate and you walk away with a delicious blend x of chocolates that you naked yourself
So much fun and delicious for us and the kids! The guides were great, chocolate making was fun and the end product was awesome. Hot chocolate at the end with our leftovers was a great surprise also!
We really enjoyed the chocolate workshop, our guide explained what we had to do very clearly, and it was great fun designing and making our own chocolate which we could then take away with us afterwards. The chocolate museum was very interesting taking us through the history of chocolate production and consumption, with interactive parts for children. Overall a great experience!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! The 2 1/2 hours flew by as we were engaged throughout the process. Apryl did a great job! She was informative and fun!
If you want to learn how to make chocolate, this is the tour for you! It was highly organized and the instructor was knowledgeable and sweet. (Pun intended!)
It was fun, a lot of work, and very messy. A lot more goes into chocolate making than I realized. I could have done without the ants though.
A bit disappointed with the experience. We found the class to be boring. Guide hard to understand and overall wouldn’t do the chocolate making course again.
Fantastic workshop to learn about chocolate and have fun making pralines! Definitely make time to take this workshop.
We had a lot of fun. Nathan was a great teacher. We learned a lot about chocolate and the art of chocolate making. We made filled chocolates, ganache and mendiants. Highly recommended
We never got to the tour. Had internet issues with att. Finally gave up and bought eSIMs cards. Asked vendor to reschedule for appropriate date and time. They could not accommodate.
The instructor was a bit soft spoken so hard to hear. The chocolate we made was a bit chalky and gritty the next day, perhaps a tempering issue. It was informative and interesting.
Fun, hands on experience in small group setting . Instructor knowledgeable and demonstrated each step clearly. She walked around to check on everyone and allowed for creativity . Left with a yummy box full of chocolates !
From the sweet smell of chocolate as we entered the workshop, to the easy directions, fun nature of our chocolate expert Ralph, and the chocolate surprise at the end, this fun workshop fit right into our perfect exploration of Brugge.
