In the center of Bruges, just under half a mile from the central Market Square with the Belfry of Bruges and a 2-minute walk from 't Zand concert building, Hotel Portinari is surrounded by a range of restaurants. It features a terrace and an underground parking area. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. All of the air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a minibar and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Each unit has a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower. Each morning, a breakfast buffet is served. After a busy day of sightseeing, guests can relax in the bar or lounge of the Portinari and enjoy a drink or a Belgian beer. The shopping district is a 10-minute walk from Hotel Portinari, as is Bruges Train Station. The seaside resorts of Knokke-Heist, Zeebrugge and Blankenberge are between 10 and 16 miles away. The historic town of Ghent is reachable in 35 minutes.

This was a good hotel, excellent location directly by an underground car park and 10 minutes walk from the centre. The room itself was good quality and upgrade, just had a few caveats that are disagreeable. They don't have a door to the bathroom, its just separated by a curtain and glass screen that don't cover the doorway. The bathroom amenities themselves are nice, but it's open concept, so showering gets the rest of the bathroom wet including the toilet and toilet paper opposite. Also a very small note, just something that could be improved is there is a small shelf above the bed that prevents you sitting up comfortably in bed.
This place was a complete disaster, especially for a 4-star hotel. A 2-star rating would be far more appropriate. The rooms were not properly cleaned, it was very noisy, and the air conditioning barely worked, making the room uncomfortably warm during the summer. To make matters worse, there were mosquitoes in the room. Highly disappointing experience.
So cute and a great location for a great price. The staff was very kind and accommodating, let us store our luggage in a secure location, and let us check in early! It was absolutely the perfect place to stay!
We truly enjoyed the stay at this hotel! Very clean. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Also rooms are spacious and very modern style. Air conditioning works for hot days! This hotel is very convenient, you can find lots of restaurants and places to walk around.
A very comfortable and superbly located hotel with some amazing views of the city. We did have some issues with our shower during our stay but the staff were extremely helpful and polite and did their best to help. The underground car park right next to the hotel is extremely convenient. Overall I'd recommend the Portinari, the price reflects the quality of the room, location and excellent customer service.
