We had a wonderful time in Brugge last weekend. Hotel De Castillion was an excellent choice. Located centrally and flanked by historic buildings, it was ideally positioned for sightseeing with bars and restaurants just minutes away. If you are looking for a hotel that offers elegance and finesse, then Hotel De Castillion has it all! An exceptionally well-run family hotel, caring staff, luxurious rooms and a wonderfully cooked breakfast all adds to the incredible experience! I would highly recommend this hotel if you want something….just a bit different from the norm.

Absolutely excellent hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was of very good quality and arranged lovely. The room was even better than excellent and would easily deserve a 6/5 stars if possible. The only very minor thing to mention is that the housekeeping lady opened the door even though we had placed the "do not disturb"-sign on the door handle. The lady immediately apologized and left, so no big deal, but the sign was there for a reason and that should be respected. But again, that does not take anything away from the overall well deserved 5 Star rating. We will definetly book this hotel again when we visit that beautiful City again.
We loved the Hotel De Castillion and our few days in Brugge. We stayed in the Quadruple Family Suite, a multilevel suite with one king bed and full bathroom downstairs and one king bed and full bathroom upstairs. The lounge and bar areas were beautiful and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. There is mint/lemon water in the lobby and upon arrival soft music was playing in the room. Everything was beautiful and very well done. We would love to return to Brugge one day and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again!
Exquisite place for the short holiday my wife and I took in May 2026. Faultless assistance and service from staff throughout our stay. Beautifully designed and maintained everywhere. Clean rooms and public parts, comfortable beds and furniture, independently controllable heating / cooling for one’s room. Attractive courtyard – so much so that many passersby paused for the ubiquitous “selfie” attracted by the gently tinkling fountain and soft background music (daytime only). Breakfast: all that anyone would want to choose from and in adequate buffet style. Refreshing how tidy everything was kept at all times. I struggle to find anything negative to say about this hotel, but I’ll try ! Stairs to our room were quite steep (though there is a lift – albeit somewhat slow), but it’s an old building so that couldn’t really be helped. Parking expensive at 40 EUR per night – but I guess that’s the going price in central Bruges / Brugge; the centre of the town is just a short walk away – despite that, the hotel is in a quiet peaceful setting. The words “Luxury” and “Boutique” are very apt in the description of this hotel. Final words of advice: don't hesitate ... book your stay here.
An absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel—we had a truly lovely stay. Tucked away on a quiet street beside a beautiful cathedral, it’s just a 5–7 minute walk from the heart of the old town, making the location both peaceful and convenient. The rooms are tastefully designed, with great attention to detail. The bed and bath linens are high quality, the shower pressure is excellent, and the toiletries are well chosen. The common areas are equally charming and thoughtfully designed. I would happily return for another stay.
