Extremely disappointing experience for a 4-star hotel. We booked this hotel through Booking.com for our honeymoon, hoping to spend a romantic night together and get some well-deserved rest after our wedding. Instead, we were assigned a room directly facing a construction site just a few meters away. At 7:00 AM sharp, we were woken up by loud music from the workers, as well as the constant noise of saws, hammers, and construction equipment. Any chance of a peaceful morning was completely ruined. What disappointed us most wasn’t the existence of the construction work itself—these things happen. It was the hotel’s response. I calmly explained the situation at reception, but after several minutes of discussion, the staff refused any form of compensation and completely denied responsibility, despite clearly knowing that this room overlooked an active construction site. A 4-star hotel should either warn guests in advance, avoid assigning these rooms whenever possible, or at the very least make a commercial gesture when a guest’s stay is significantly affected. Instead, they chose to do none of the above. Be very careful if you book this hotel. You may be placed directly opposite a construction site, have your stay ruined from 7:00 AM onwards, and the hotel will simply tell you it’s not their problem. For what was supposed to be a special honeymoon stay, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. We certainly won’t be returning, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel.i

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay very enjoyable. A special thank you to Sanaa for her outstanding hospitality. She was kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. She truly made my experience even better. The only suggestion I have is to pay close attention to the parking area and its rules, as it can be a bit confusing for guests. Clearer guidance about parking would make the experience even better. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Very well located, we went walking from the hotel and everything was close enough, and yet not in the buzz of the city center. Room was cozy and bed and comfortable. Bathroom was also comfy and clean, although I think this could have looked better; some details from age were evident. Parking is available though expensive and small. Breakfast was good and the eating area was really cute.
I stayed there for two days, at their romantic (i think) room). 238 was a killer. Rooms 235 -239 are absolutely magnificent attics. I loved the hotel. It's 500 meters from the center, it has a gym and a pool. Owners do not spare expenses: there are everywhere instabul fragnances. The hotel is an easy 20 minutes stroll from the train station.
**Grand Hotel Normandy Brugge – Charming Stay in Perfect Location** ⭐ I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hotel Normandy in Bruges. The air conditioning worked very well, which was a big plus. The rooms show some signs of age, and the cleaning could be a bit more thorough — they forgot to empty the trash and refill the toilet paper one day. Still, overall the room was fine and comfortable. The **location** is excellent: quiet yet right on the edge of the beautiful old town. You can walk to tons of great restaurants and bars in just a few minutes. Parking is conveniently located right next door. The lobby is lovely and welcoming, with a nice little bar that’s perfect for a drink in the evening. The swimming pool area needs better maintenance when the hotel is busy — towels were often missing or not very clean — but it was still usable and not a dealbreaker. What truly makes this hotel special is the **staff**. They are genuinely kind, helpful, and attentive — really warm service. All in all, a very solid hotel in one of the best spots in Bruges. Minor maintenance hiccups aside, the great location, nice atmosphere, and friendly team make it a place I’d happily return to. Recommended!
