I haven't stayed in the hotel, but I have a really delicious meal (4th time in last 2 years)! The menu is different every time I am visiting the restaurant (this time a rabbit was my favourite!), and the Auspitz wine is just amazing! Really recommend it :)

Unfortunately, it’s not good. I stayed at the hotel — it was fine for several nights. However, when you try to book it again a few months later for just one night, they say there are no available rooms. But if you check the same dates on several travel portals and select more than two nights, it suddenly shows as available. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel, as they are not reliable.
Taking a weekend for wellness was just the thing we needed after such long cold winter days. I planned ahead and booked the superior room which boasts a mini fridge, robes and slippers for your time in wellness. Surprisingly the mini fridge was plugged in and chilled with not a single item stocked. Not even water. No hot water kettle, tea or instant coffee. The robes were on the smaller side and barely closed. I personally love oversized fluffy robes. And as standard paper disposable slippers that never holds up in moist conditions and nearly always make you slip in spa areas. On to the couples treatment package at just under 2000kc for 90 minutes. Why I was expecting this to be like other couple treatments we had experienced? First this is completely DIY. Your paying for the use of the room, snacks, wine and cosmetics. The room was interesting. The "cosmetics" consisted of a spoonful of lotion and two spoons of a rather pleasant apricot scrub. There was not enough for one of us little lone two if this is intended for full body simple increase the portions. One largish bathtub with jets, a small steam sauna, a hamam table that you are not to use properly but rather lay a sheet on and rinse off in the shower and a water bed. Two small bowls of almonds one covered in maybe honey with sesame seeds, the other plain and very dry. One bottle of rose frizannte which was simultaneously both sweet and sour in a spoiled way, or poorly stored. We did not finish it and had integestion following. We booked massage however failed to fully grasp that though the facilities do have two massage rooms there is only one massuse on duty. Needles to say my husband had no desire to wait an hour to have a massage after the couples wellness treatment. I however went on, my massage was fantastic I will say the gentlemen did a excellent job and gave exceptional care. After we went to the restaurant for dinner. Started with Pilsner on draft. This was either expired or the lines have not been properly cleaned. Thinking perhaps we were influenced by the wine that didn't sit well we moved forward to the beef tartar with basil and parmesan. Upon arrival it was more grey in color then pink, topped with parmesan, a small pile of dry micro greens and pea shoots. On the side 4 pieces of dry white toast. There was no moisture whatsoever here. Perhaps a quail egg or even just the yolk could lend a hand and give this dish a shot it deserves. The rabbit was a smart pairing with mustard brandy sauce and the truffle potato gratin was nearly there (too heavy on the nutmeg in the beshamel which left truffle fighting nutmeg for the spotlight). The chocolate cake was moist, nice fruit pairing and the cream overall pleasant though a bit much on the fix or gelatin that was in there to hold it together. As for the hotel itself the staff is eniterly professional and very pleasant to speak with in Czech or English. I would suggest when a guest is booking ahead to have a pet and paying the 500kc fee that a bowl or maybe two would be already in the room, or at the very least dispensed upon arrival for use while there. A few small touches would've elevated the experience. Unfortunately for me I had integestion, heartburn and an upset stomach for the remainder the stay and eagerly anticipated the trip home. I would not recommend this place the cost to value is just not there. If not for the staff it would've been a total loss at 7,630kc for one night.
Generally this is a really good hotel, the location is brilliant for a stop over on continental travel, the beds are comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and parking outside the hotel. The hotel is on the dated side, rooms could do with a refurbishment but this doesn’t bother me that much as it’s just a place to sleep, as long as it’s clean.
May be your only best option to stay. They should really advertise “make sure you do your homework before you consider visiting!!! in advance. We booked a room where 90 minutes access to the spa is included. But it is booked out two weeks in advance, a hard joke! The wineries here may have been good, but only 1/5 (scheduled to be open) was open on our day here. And the restaurants are nearly nil. Our hotel was frankly the path of least resistance. There isn’t coffee in the room, however the breakfast is good. And it’s quite close to the train and walking to the almond trail. I wouldn’t plan to stay more than one day here. Oh and bring cash if you’re a foreigner, most will communicate no CC to evade taxes.
