We loved our room - lucked out and had a beach front location, the views couldn’t have been better! The spa was a lovely experience, the hotel decor is beautifully elegant, and the staff were friendly. We found the bed and linens especially comfortable and had a great few nights of sleep here.
Grand old hotel; rooms a liid cramped; easy valet parking and attentive service
The hotel is lovely and well-maintained despite its age. I stayed in a back-facing room and found the size and layout a bit underwhelming. I’d recommend the beach-view rooms and a larger one. The staff is professional but the service seems more geared towards regulars than newcomers. The restaurants offer excellent food. Cap Horn has great food and a view but the service is warmer at Verrière. It’s conveniently located for using the thermal spa.
Maybe my stay here was so good because it was off-season and not crowded but I really liked this hotel. Check-in was smooth, our room was GREAT. It had recently been redone and had a balcony with a spectacular view of the beach. We had room service breakfast three days in a row and whoever that lady was who answered the phone each morning should get a raise.
Grand Hotel right on the seafront. We were lucky to get a wonderful room on the very top floor with a breathtaking sea view. Watching the tides come and go is a mesmerizing experience — the water literally reaches the walls of the hotel, carrying with it the sound of waves and the cries of seagulls. The sea view is the main highlight and a unique pleasure, like having a private balcony to an endless natural performance. The hotel also features a huge thermal complex. A variety of pools, saunas, and other relaxing facilities are included in the stay, perfectly complementing a fantastic holiday. There is also a fine dining restaurant offering exquisite cuisine right inside the hotel. And of course, the promenade along the seafront, where the hotel is located, is itself a special kind of resort art.
