Golden Tulip Saint Malo - Le Grand Be

An absolutely beautiful hotel in a stunning location. We had drinks and nibbles outside in the sunshine which was excellent and our waiter was superb. As soon as you walk into the lobby it's stunning, all the staff we encountered were absolutely brilliant above and beyond really added to our experience. The rooms were fantastic with very high end fittings and fixtures, bed was comfy and we had a good view into the square. Breakfast was good too with a fantastic selection, something for everyone. The reason I only gave four stars is because it had no restaurant, which was a real shame. The other thing to note was parking, there is some under the hotel but these are extremely tight to get in and out of. This meant carrying cases and bags up many stairs, it would have been helpful if we knew this beforehand.

If you’re planning a trip to Saint-Malo, and you want to stay inside the walled city, look no further than Golden Tulip. The location alone makes for a compelling choice. But our Junior Suite had no drawers and just a tiny hanging bar with 4 hangers. Perfect for a weekend trip, but we’re traveling for a month in France and more storage space was needed. There’s nothing special about the breakfasts,, and I believe eating out in town would be a better experience. The staff were super-friendly and helpful. A good choice for a short stay if you desire a hotel inside the walled city.

Super well located hotel bang next to the cathedral, beach and food. Fantastic staff so friendly.. Etian from the front desk had great recommendations! Delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs I polished off single handed haha jk… You can walk the wall, and to the little islands in low tide.. very piratey 🏴‍☠️

Marvellous stay. On check out the only glitch was our room rate included two breakfasts each day. On the statement we were only provided one meal included and billed extra for the second breakfast each day. We were billed 23 Euros x 2 which was wrong because they were included in the booking. The representative stated we would be credited with 46 Euros. As long as this credit appears on our card everything was marvellous.
