Waterside aspect with a delightful scenic circular path. Beloved of joggers and walkers. The hotel itself is a relaxing haven. The staff are helpful and attentive. The rooms are well laid out and serviced on a daily basis. The restaurant serves top notch food. The menu is limited to a seasonal selection that changes over time. I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions in the last couple of years and it has always been an absolute pleasure. It's a popular hotel and the restaurant is obviously popular with the local residents. Great place to stay.

The location is great, the walking path around the lake is fantastic, the service was exceptional … that one complaint about this place.
Excellent hotel. Well priced, high quality, friendly staff and the restaurant is excellent. Would reccomend for somone wanting to stay out of town in a nature surroundings with good amenities. Also Excellent location to base yourself from to see the submarine pens
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The location is fab - close to the city centre but next to a beautiful pool surrounded by woodland, gorgeous nature and perfect for a jog or stroll around the water-side circuit. The hotel was clean, the decor very stylish and the staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them...they were ambassadors for the hotel industry. The food at breakfast and dinner was really nice and the swimming pool was a good size and there were lovely touches such as the swinging chair next to the pool and plenty of towels and nice toilettries. I would definitely stay here again.
Wanted to publicly thank the Hotel for its support on Friday when the UK government removed France from the exemption list.
I arrived in the country and rang the hotel explaining that I had to return to the UK that afternoon.
We were to stay for 3 nights.
The hotel were able to cancel the booking with no charges, despite being within hours of arrival.
Well done The Rives - we will be coming to stay with you very soon.
