The guide was extremely kind and respectful, and could basically answer every question in a very elaborate and engaging manner. Learned a lot, and even though it was like 3 hours or so, it didn't feel dragged out or boring at any point. I genuinely feel like I should've paid more for this experience.

Highly recommend doing this tour if you're in Whistler! Ryan was a great guide, full of knowledge and made learning about this wonderful place, so engaging and interesting! And we were lucky enough to see 2 bears!
Our entire tour was delightful. We saw so many beautiful things, learned about the Olympics that were held in Whistler, and even saw black bears. It is a gorgeous town with friendly locals.Ryan was an excellent Guide and very knowledgeable. We have family that may be going and we will definitely recommend Ryan’s tour.
A very informative 3 hour comfortable van tour viewing all the pertinent local sites and attractions
This tour led by. Ryan was excellent. Ryan has lived here for several years and had great and interesting facts about the area. The tour was three hours long and went by so quickly. We stopped at the purebred bakery, Rainbow Park and saw a black bear eating in the field in the park. The other tourists were delightful!
Perfect way to kick off our three days in whistlers to familiarise and saw so much that we wouldn’t have known about or experienced. Ryan was the perfect guide so knowledgeable and passionate about Whistler we all loved the experience and the variety of things we saw in the few hours. It was well paced, informative and fun. Thanks also Ryan for the special service returning the shirt I purchased and left on the bus….highly recommend
It was a fantastic day, with an excellent and very friendly guide named Ryan, a great group, and a comfortable bus. There were 10 people in our group, and everything ran very smoothly. There was also plenty of room for individual input whenever needed. Everything was perfectly on time, and we had lots of opportunities to hear explanations and enjoy interesting stories about Whistler, its history, and the background of the area. I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to miss this tour. A wonderful experience and a day full of new impressions! Thank you so much, Whistler Valley Tours, Special Thanks to Ryan!
Really enjoyed the tour. It was a small group and the guide Ryan was so knowledgeable about Whistler and passionate about the town. He gave us lots Of really interesting information and the stops were all great.
We did the tour with Ryan. He was awesome! The tour was partially like "behind the scenes", Ryan didn´t only show the touristic things, he also gave an impression of the locals. Both were super presented by entertaining Ryan. He spoke about the history of whistler, the area around the village, explained the area of the village and resorts, the wildlife, the opportunities for activities and many more. Ryan made the tour intersting and humorous too. If you join Whistler, don´t miss the Tour with Ryan!
Excellent, informative and entertaining tour. Highly recommended !
Ryan was an amazing guide and so knowledgeable - made our tour very interesting.
The perfect tour to explore the Whistler area! Review of Whistler Sightseeing Tour: Discover all of Whistler Year-Round! Reviewed 1 week ago This was a fantastic tour to explore outside the confines of the beautiful Village! Ryan has picked a great representation of sites and his knowledge of and passion for each is captivating! I enjoyed every minute and the three hours went by far too quickly. Highly recommend! Small group, comfy van!
This was an interesting and informative tour. Ryan was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and knew the history. His pacing and delivery was good but there were times that it was difficult to hear him in the back of the small coach. Some kind of amplification would have been helpful.
Ryan was a great host. Very knowledgable and informative. Great pace of tour with enough time to take in each venue. A good tour to take on a first day to Whistler to get an informed overview of the town, surrounding area, history and culture, and selection of recommendations for food, drinks etc. Also spotted Mum black bear and cub which Ryan stopped the bus for to allow us to get some great photos. Thanks Ryan. Top man. 👍
Ryan was our guide. The tour took us to various spots around the municipality. It included a visit to the Bobsled track used in the 2010 Olympics. Very interesting. We went to a few lakes, drove through and learned about the origins of several of the different communities. Ryan told us the history of Whistler. He did a great job of covering it in a clear and concise manner. We ended the tour in the center of Whistler. It was perfect for an introduction to the area. Ryan left us with a card highlighting all of the recommendations he had made in the tour and told us to reach out if we needed anything else. I highly recommend this activity!
This was a fantastic tour to explore outside the cinfines of the beautiful Village! Ryan has picked a great representation of sites and his know of and passion for each is captivating! I enjoyed every minute and the three hours went by far too quickly. Highly recommend! Small group, comfy van!
We really enjoyed our tour. Learned some fascinating history of the area, especially the story behind Whistler winning the 2010 Olympic Games. Ryan is a great guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about Whistler. Highly recommend this tour especially for those interested in sport.
Very fun and informative! Would 100% recommend this tour for the Whistler Valley! Make sure this is something you do at the start of your Whistler stay!
My sister and I had an amazing time! We were able to see lots of different sites around Whistler, including a bear!
The three hr introduction to Whistler by Ryan Powell was excellent. He is an extremely knowledgeable guide.
Great overall tour of Whistler - we even visited a few suburbs and heard about their great low cost housing options!
Ryan was very knowledgeable and helpful. He knew the history and details of Whistler which were discovered through Ryan is much bigger with a richer history than we imagined! He gave us interesting information on restaurants, other tours and tips and tricks to enjoy our day in Whistler! Highly recommended for those with a short period to enjoy the town.
It was the most beautiful and amazing experience I’ve ever had on a vacation anywhere. To be able to see a mother bear and cub surrounded by thousands of acres of beautiful forest after seeing Alexander Falls is the BEST! They have wonderful open top jeeps not crowded at all. Tiny small groups in an area not accessible to the general public. We went on the 6 AM tour and amazingly were able to see mother bear, and one cub that was left the other cub was killed by a male bear. The second mom had two cubs and their goals were to eat as much as possible because hibernation will come soon. We also were able to stop at Alexander Springs for a stunning view! Loved every second of it with our wonderful safari photography bear guide Adrian! Ty so much!
This was an amazing trip with Ryan! His knowledge was extraordinary (ex Aussie but now Canadian Citizen with 9 years doing this tour in Whistler) and all extremely interesting and informative. He was balanced in his appraisal of places to see/visit/eat, etc and just made the whole experience a memorable and enjoyable journey of discovery. All done in a bus of only a dozen people so very personal too. I recommend people do this trip as the first thing you do in Whistler - if you have a couple of days or more there - as it really helped us to orient ourselves to what is on offer in Whistler and beyond. If I could give 10 points I would - do yourself a favour!
Great tour. Ryan was very knowledgeable. Was great to see parts of Whistler we would not have visited. D6ch as the Olympic park for the luge. Tour was a great pace and clearly Ryan puts alot of thought in to looking after customers with local recommendations. I have visited Whistler before but was great to see a different side and history.
We had a wonderful day tour of Whistler, made especially enjoyable by our excellent guide, Ryan. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and shared fascinating insights about the scenery, history, and local area. The tour was well organised, relaxed, and thoroughly enjoyable. Small group, well planned tour. Highly recommended!
Ryan has a wonderful unique style and understanding of the Whistler region. With a warm sense of humor , along with most interesting stops, fabulous insight and unique way of presenting this beautiful area.
Was a great tour. Ryan was very knowledgeable on the history of whistler. It was fun to visit the Olympic park to see where the Luge etc took place. Ryan took time to make sure that every one got the best from their visit with good restaurant recommendations. Worth the money.
Our tour guide, Ryan, was prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable! We learned about the history, the people, and the planning behind this wonderful area.
Excellent trip. Very informative of the whole area at the beginning of our trip which was great. Ryan was an excellent guide with an obvious passion for the area, and also a very nice bloke!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of the areas in and around Whistler on August 5th. Ryan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastically shared with us the history of this beautiful area. I enjoyed Green Lake and the Olympic Sledding area, so fun to see it up close. I would highly recommend this tour. It’s especially good to do on the first days of your trip because he gives great recommendations on restaurants and areas to revisit.
Good tour with excellent guide
Our tour guide, Ryan, was prompt, professional, and extremely knowledgeable! We learned about the history, the people, and the planning behind this wonderful area.
We had a fantastic time. Ryan was a great tour guide - very knowledgeable and very accommodating to everyone's needs. If you are going to be visiting Whistler, make sure to do this tour in the beginning of your stay. Ryan will give you a wonderful overview of the history of the area, take you to some fun out of the way places, and share ideas of everything that there is to do. Without it, you'll miss a lot of the hidden gems of Whistler.
Excellent trip. Learnt so much about the area. We would thoroughly recommend it. Ryan was an excellent host, so knowledgeable, and his van was spotless!! Great transport and a great guide.
A great tour with lots of information. A good foundation for a first trip to Whistler...... Ryan was a great tour guide
Booked this as a last minute decision and it may well have been our highlight of Whistler. Ryan our guide took time to go into detail of the history and story of Whistler. Answered questions with ease and was enthusiastic about what he spoke about. If your on a short stay over and don’t have time to explore in detail this tour give a detailed oversight and history of the area
Great time. Tour was very interesting and informative. Our guide was very professional and knowledgeable.
Ryan was an absolute wonderful tour guide. He has worldly experience and it shows. We learned so much about Whistler, the history, the 2010 Olympics here, cuisine, places to eat and so much to enjoy. Couldn’t ask for more or a better guide.
Very informative about the history of Whistler. We went to places i wouldn't have thought of. Tour bus was very Comfortable.
Wonderful experience. I just wish we had done this on our first day in Whistler as Ryan revealed so many of the hidden gems in the area. His knowledge of Whistler is astonishing & there is no question he could not answer. Great value for money. I would highly recommend taking this tour.
Amazing tour guide (Glenn)! We were a small group of just 5 people, which made everything feel personal. Our guide had incredible insider knowledge and showed us so much that regular tourists never get to see. Highly recommend!
3 hours well spent with Ryan explaining and showing us the history/views of Whistler. We’ve come away from the tour more knowledgeable of the area
A really good overview of the surrounds of Whistler by Glenn. He talked about the history of the area and showed us sights of the winter Olympics 2010.
Glenn was awesome. Very informative. I had booked the wrong date and Ryan was gracious enough to change my tour date.
Do this tour as soon as you arrive in Whistler. It was packed with local knowledge and info for getting the best from your time there however long or short your stay. Very friendly guide who certainly knows his stuff.
Our family booked a private tour and all of us; children, seniors, and everyone in between had a wonderful time. Ryan was on time, courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable about Whistler and the surrounding area. The vehicle was very clean and there was a good balance of driving around vs. getting out and seeing the sights. I highly recommend Whistler Valley Tours.
Great tour And guide. Very good overview of Whistler and the area and the history. Ryan was easy to understand and hear. That was much appreciated.
The tour is more a summary review of the valley rather than sightseeing, if you want to engage with any of the sights you have to come back on your own- still interesting though. The van barely pauses for a minute or two at most of the sites. I also appreciated they called when I accidentally selected the same day instead of booking for the next and thankfully changed it to the next day for me.
In all honesty we were a bit underwhelmed with Whistler at first but going out with Ryan was such a good experience. We don’t like huge bus tours so this was just right with only five of us. He took us to places we would not have gone to and learning the history of settlers and the railway was really good. He also took us to the Olympic bobsleigh site as well which we really enjoyed. The next morning we went on the Peak to Peak gondola ride and so our stopover in Whistler turned out to be a really good experience. Thank you Ryan for your enthusiasm.
