Rented from the Blackcomb location. All staff were helpful, kind and courteous. Changed boots after trying many pairs. Aled and JoJo especially patient and informative. STRONGLY recommend!

Excellent communication pre arrival in Canada. First rental boots in over 10 years & they were the best ski boots I’ve ever had. Great skis too plus very convenient location at the bottom of the slope & free overnight storage. The staff were very helpful & a really friendly bunch!

My family rented skis/boards from Black Tie of Whistler, which provided the best rental services we have experienced.

The staff were enormously patient as we worked through the best package for our family, and helped tailor the package to our needs. Rentals are reasonable, on par with other resorts. The best part was the ski delivery to our condo which removed the usual wait time at the rental shops. Thank you Black Tie!

The service was outstanding. Fluer took great care of us. The other Austrialian guys (don't remember their names) were equally as helpful and cheerful. You are generally going to pay close to the same for premium ski rentals so great service is highly desirable. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This team and their services made everything so convenient. I knew I’d be tired from traveling all day so I booked to meet them at my condo at 7 pm. They arrived promptly and happened to bring 5 choices of skis … I’m sure the quantity may have had something to do with the me having trouble describing my skiing abilities. Due to the weather conditions I wanted to try some fat skis. After Day 1 I decided to switch to lighter parabolic skis that were slightly shorter. Since they were located close to my room (Mountainside Lodge) I switched them out and it was no trouble. The K2s were awesome! They also offered to pick up my skis at the lodge after I was done but instead I dropped them off due to their convenient location. It was so much nicer than lugging my own skis and poles during my travels and more reasonable than renting through the ski resort. This was my second booking with Black Tie and I’d definitely do it again.

Great gear, great people, great time!! Skis were new and well waxed creating an awesome skiing experience. Would recommend

Cannot recommend Black Tie Ski Rentals of Whistler enough! I was skiing Whistler for 3 days and got to select different skis each day. I ended up swapping skis on day 2 and found a pair of skis that I fell in love with thanks to the extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff! I will be using Black Tie forever! So much easier than traveling with my own skis on a plane. Thank you for helping to make such a fun ski trip!!

These guys are solid and have great ski equipment supplemented with great service. Best thing is how they deliver it right to your hotel, which cuts the hassle from the normal ski equipment rental process.

Can’t recommend enough. Skis I hired were brilliant quality and perfectly selected for the conditions I had on my trip. They were set up and ready for me when I arrived and served to me by friendly and knowledgeable staff. On the final day I decided not to ski but black tie were happy to refund my day with no hassle. Will 100% use again .

Walked into the shop in Whistler, Village, and I believe her name was Sophie, gave us a great overview of where to ski, and where to go. We knew nothing! Skis were awesome! One of us needed to cancel skiing for a day, and it was absolutely no problem getting a refund on the skis. Will definitely work with them again on future trips!

The staff were friendly, funny and professional. I rented skis and boots due to an airline/luggage issue and the equipment was very good.

I can’t recommend these guys & gals enough. The kit was delivered to our chalet by a great team who really knew their stuff. We then went to the shop many times to swap from skis to snowboards and back again. We were always greeted by a friendly team who were very efficient.

I looked for a rental for some skiis I wanted to demo to decide on a pair to purchase and found Black Tie rented them - was so happy I did! They gave a discount for booking a few days ahead, delivered an additional set of skiis they thought I may like and arrived exactly at the time they estimated they would deliver! The gentleman was knowledgeable and fitted both pairs to my boots so I could try a different pair each day. When I called after day 2 to return them, they gave me a rest day and arrived to pick up the original 2 pairs and delivered another couple pairs to discuss. I decided on one pair to try and didn’t like them at all so called from the top of the mountain and they found a pair I wanted to try for the 2nd time for me…all I had to do was an easy download and short walk to the Sundial location and they were waiting for me and quickly adjusted to my boot. I had an amazing ski day and ended up finding a store to buy them from!!! Highly recommend this company and amazed at their customer service!

We have used Black Tie Ski Rentals in Whistler for several ski trips (including our most recent spring ski trip in April 2022), due to their convenient location (at the base of Blackcomb gondola), their pricing (better than competitors), and their friendly helpful staff.

These guys are amazing. The staff were super quick with getting us fitted and very friendly. You can leave your skis with them at either whistler or blackcomb base so you don't need to lug em back to your hotel. The equipment is also very great quality. Choose these local guys for your ski hire in Whistler!

I would 100% recommend using Black Tie to rent equipment from. The delivery service was very profesdion and the technicians answered all of our questions even those not related to the equipment. Their choice of skis for us could not be faulted and even with an existing knee injury I was able to ski well. The returns method could not have been easier and I will definitely use these again next time I visit Whistler skiing

Had a great experience with Black Tie! They delivered our equipment to the Westin right on time and they fit us very quickly. We were alll set after about 15 minutes. We would highly recommend Black Tie for equipment rental and delivery!

Awesome service! The team met us at our hotel at exactly the time we had agreed. They were brilliant with our two young boys getting them fitted and set up with everything that they needed alongside my wife and I. The boots and ski’s appeared brand new and were great quality with premium brands. Once we were skiing, the store at the bottom of the mountain is just a few steps away from the gondola, so couldn’t be more convenient to store ski’s and poles overnight and the team went out of their way to help with anything during the week. Totally recommend their service!

My friend Hannah rented skis here for her first time up in over a decade and we found the experience was fantastic! They were super quick and very professional. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality skis and rentals in Whistler. They have two locations, in the village and the upper village and I've been to both and their staff is always friendly and incredible. Shout out to Matt!

Absolutely first class - all the way. I didn’t want to bring my skis on my flight so I just brought my boots. I booked a time (wanting to avoid crowds) and was very impressed. I passed the line up in my hotel for ski rentals walked into their shop, sat in a safe, private comfortable space and was quickly fitted for great premium skis. I had pre-booked online and after confirming a few details the expert had completed my fitting and I was out the door. Literally 15 minutes (tops). They also offered to deliver and pick my skis up from my hotel. I cannot say enough about this first class service. Highly recommend!

This is a FANTASTIC ski rental company. Also one of the few locally owned rental companies in Whistler. Service is professional and efficient and for the same rate they will even offer door to door service where they visit you and do a private fitting at your hotel. Their store locations are also at the base of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains, so also very easy to visit their locations. I opted a hotel fitting the first time and the second time walked to the Whis location and rented on the spot. 10/10 would rent again!

Black Tie is top notch! Fabulous equipment, convenient location and the most wonderful staff!! Prompt experienced service that’s brought right to your room! Easy to switch out your skis/boots and staff is happy to help. They bend over backwards to help in any way. Experienced, professional, friendly, caring staff- and if you’re lucky you’ll get Colleen, Todd or Ollie on the phone! Scale of 1-10 - I give them them a 12!

Rented skis and snowboard for a family holiday, all adults. Prior to arrival we had several questions and changes, all dealt with quickly and professionally. Nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived we had 2 time slots for delivery due to different flights. Guys that turned up were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Return of equipment was so easy, they picked up from outside the apartment, no hassle whatsoever. Equipment couldn't be faulted. Great service all round, thoroughly recommend.

Booked our ski rental online and the process was very easy to use. Booked a time for fitting and all went well. I actually had my skis mixed up with another renter on the gondola. It was the end of the day anyway so I took back the other person's skis (same model and make as mine & also rented from black tie ) They were able to locate my skis and get them back. Very happy with black tie and would definitely use them again.

The service was outstanding. Staff came to our hotel room, fitted each of us for skiing/snowboarding, and seemed to have a lot of experience. We left the gear by the reception desk of our hotel, and it was picked up the next day. No hassles!!! We will always use Black Tie. They make renting easy!

Excellent service. After a quick call of what we were looking for, a time was arranged for them to come to our condo. They showed up right on time, with multiple options for skis, boots, poles and helmets. At the end of our trip, a quick call to the store, and they came and picked everything up. No hassles, no hidden charges! I wouldn’t think of recommending another company. These guys are the only ones on my list!

Black Tie Ski Rentals made our family trip of 8 a breeze. They came to the house with lots of options for everyone. Everything fit great. The service was fantastic. I was unable to get to my phone when they called as they arrived which made us miss our appointment time. After making contact again they were very accomodating and came back. Very much appreciated.

This was so nice to have our equipment delivered right to our hotel. The staff brought extra sizes so we were all fit perfectly. On the day of departure we simply left our equipment with our hotel. This was so much better then lugging all of own own equipment through the airports!

Why rent skis from any other rental company than Black Tie Ski Rentals in Whistler? They delivered the exact skis I ordered (M5's that were really sweet) to my condo on time. Everything was easy and the skis were great. If you are going to Whistler the only place to rent skis is Black Tie!

I have just got back from Whistler and am delighted that I chose to rent from Black Tie. There were always plenty of really friendly staff available to help me with everything from accessory purchases to the ski rental itself. I felt like I was in good hands with the fitting and was impressed with the knowledge of the team ensuring that I had the best stuff both for comfort and for my ability. Super easy location right by the lifts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

after we arrived a little late from the shuttle from Vancouver, 2 polite, professional, nice men showed up and fitted my husband and I for skis, boots, helmets and poles. they were prompt, succinct, and even offered us excellent restaurant recommendations. I mean they came to our room!!!!! Amazing. we will use them again. we highly recommend this service.

The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help the customer. I had appointment to come to the store for fitting. However, due to flight delay, I came to Whistler late in the afternoon. I called to ask if Black Tie can deliver the ski to my lodge. They agreed and delivered the ski promptly in the evening. The skis were good. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs ski/snowboarding gears in Whistler.

After a great experience with Blacktie rentals last year, we booked with them again for our recent ski holiday in Whistler/Blackcomb. From booking online through to delivery and custom fitting in the comfort of our accommodation, the whole process is easy, convenient and professional. We hired both premium ski and premium snowboard packages + jackets/pants - all the equipment was in excellent condition. All the staff (special shout out to Sebastian & Rory) we dealt with were super friendly and very accommodating.

We have used Blacktie rentals several times and it has always been a great experience. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff that goes out of their way to make sure you have good equipment that fits properly. If you have a problem, they make it as easy as possible to swap something out. I highly recommend using their service. You will never rent equipment at the lodge again.

If you are looking for Whistler ski hire, look no further. Honestly the best hire shop when we visited at the start of December. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The equipment is high quality and new. We made to feel really comfortable as soon as we walked through the door. I would (will be) highly recommending to friends and family, and certainly will return on our next visit. Thanks guys!

We’ve used Black Tie in Northstar and loved it so we were very happy to do it again here in whistler. The experience has been the same: incredibly friendly, helpful and just a pleasure. I also want to say Amanda here at the Whistler Blackcomb location is so sweet and helpful and saved my legs by finding the right boots for me: changed my trip! Highly recommend!
