Whistler Backcountry Flightseeing Tour

One of the most beautiful experience I ever done! We were a bit overweight so we flight just ourselves and the pilot! Was a sunny day, marvellous view, fantastic pilot very professional (young blond girl I don’t remember the name sorry). I will recommend and I will do again thousand of times! I filmed the all flight with a GoPro TOP!

The weather couldn't have been better, and so our flight was particularly great. Our pilot was fantastic, knowledgeable, and very personable. He was also very professional. I appreciated watching him do his pre-flight checks on the aircraft. That was reassuring given the somewhat "fly by night" impression the limited signage, dirt path to their building, and overall impression I got of the building exterior. I needn't have been concerned. Our pilot, though apparently in his 30s, clearly knew his business and his aircraft. We felt very safe. The flight itself was simply gorgeous. We went on June 8th when there was still a lot of snow covering the glaciers. Nevertheless, the views were spectacular and we saw some bits of the glaciers, including many glacial crevasses. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had!!!! Our pilot, Kyle, was incredible. Super knowledgable and was able to explain everything we saw and respond to all our questions. They were really friendly and flexible with our needs given the visibility. Would 100% recommend!!! amazing way to see the mountains from a different perspective

Fantastic tour! Our pilot Dylan was such a pro. He narrated the entire tour, pointed out tons of interesting sights, and gave us lots of advice on how to explore further from the ground. Oh, and the scenery was spell binding. Could not ask for a better experience.

Kyle (our pilot) and the whole experience was amazing. The team was very responsive to our inquiries and the booking experience was very easy. Kyle made our trip unforgettable, will definitely do again if we ever find ourselves in the area again.

This was a wonderful experience and an incredible way to see the local area. The weather that day was absolutely perfect; clear skies, no smoke. The pilot was very knowledgeable of the local geography and he "greased" the landing on our return. I would highly recommend taking a flight.

One of the best experiences I have had - I needed encouragement from my son to make this flight - our pilot Dylan was so good at putting me at ease & once we were in the air the spectacular scenery took my breathe away - loved all the information shared by our pilot - the hour passed & I wanted more - make sure you do one of there flights 😊

I took my parents (who were visiting form another country) to the tour that takes you over glaciers and Garibaldi Lake yesterday and it was incredible! I had hiked before a few times and saw the lake, but the view you get from the plane is incomparable. Since the moment I called to ask 100 questions, the service was outstanding. Ryan was our pilot and he was amazing, so kind, knowledgeable, and really made my dad, who is very scared of heights, feel safe. Such a great experience, I’ll definitely be back for more!

Was an amazing experience. Marvellous weather. The pilot was fantastic, Chelsea, professional and friendly. I think this is one of the best tour on offer. The view was gorgeous between trees, peaks, snow capped mountain… the best activity during our vacation. Thank you!

We splurged for our anniversary and took the 75 minute flight. What a fantastic and memorable experience. Our pilot was terrific. In one word awesome!

Anna and I (Patrick) took the Whistler Backcountry Air safari on 07/25/22 with Eric. Not only did he really made us feel safe during the flights by explaining us how it's like to fly etc, but also did he really share his passion about the are we flew over including Garibaldi Provincial Park, it's lakes glaciers and volcanos. Anna and I couldn't stop being in awe due to this amazing adrenaline filling flight and the scenery we got to see (if that makes any sense). This 59 minute experience is worth every Dollar and we will do it again of we happen to come Canada again. So mind blowing to see massive Glaciers. You get a sense on how worthy it is to fight for nature conservation if see the world and it's wonders from above.And if course it's scars on (e.g. all the clear cuts on Crown land). What a beautiful flight we had! The absolute best way to see the mountains for what they are worth! Beautiful blue skies and lakes! Eric was our guide and he gave us great pertinent info. Loved every second of it. Great little plane to fly in. I would put this on your bucket list!

What a memorable experience, seeing Black Tusk that close was magical. The pilot was super fun, informative and safe. I gave this as a present to my fiancé and he said it was one of the best experiences of his life.

A beautiful January day with clear skies and no wind allowed us to have an incredible experience. We toured the Tantalus Range and Whistler and Mt Garibaldi Park—we quickly ran out of superlatives to describe what we were seeing. The most boring thing on this flight was us going “Oh wow!” Over and over.

David was our pilot for this flight. He was timely, professional and very knowledgeable. Everything was relaxed but ran on time. We had a bit of smoke/haze, but the scenery was still jaw-dropping and David added great commentary/answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see Garibaldi Provincial Park from a unique and incredible perspective.

My wife and I received a gift card for this flight, not something we would normally do though. So thankful we took this trip on our wedding anniversary, it was so memorable. Right from arriving we were greeted by our pilot and given instructions for the flight. Felt very welcome and comfortable during this time of Covid. Aside from the incredible scenery our pilots knowledge was second to none of the area and landscape history. We will be back for a different adventure for sure and would absolutely recommend this flight to anyone. Great job by Sea to Sky Air!!!

We were blessed with a sunny December morning flight tour out of Squamish. Vicky, our talented pilot, flew us up Paradise Valley and over Garibaldi Lake. We circled around Black Tusk and Garibaldi Peak. We passed over Whistler and the Quest University Canada campus. The experience with my daughter created an unforgettable memory for both of us.

Amazing views of Whistler and surrounding countryside. Particular highlight of Lake Garibaldi. Guide was very friendly and professional, quick no-frills service. Loved it.

The decision to arrange a Vancouver tour via airplane was absolutely the best one could we could have made. We invited our tour guide Frank to accompany us and he too enjoyed it as much as we did. Sea to Sky Air provided us with the company's best pilot [my apologies for not remembering his name] and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I have always said "there is something on the other side of any mountain", and the Squamish tour proved confirmed it. There are literally lakes, ponds, snow covered summits and so many of Nature's hidden treasures. We flew around The Black Tusk to witness how enormous it really is. Imagine only seeing a few feet of this peak from the ground and discovering its true height of more than 1,800 feet from the air....WOW!!!!! Pictures and videos via air by comparison dwarfs pictures by any other means. So many thanks to the Staff at Sea to Sky Air. We will be back!!

Amazing flight (Whistler Air Backcountry Safari). Great pilot, comfortable ride and flexible company. We were able to reschedule to two days before as the weather forecast was rainy. Got a beautiful sunny flight an hour after we called. Was able to get the plane window open to capture good photos. Well done!

My wife and I had booked a plane-ride over Garibaldi. To make it short: Absolutely stunning experience. We caught good weather with hardly any clouds in the sky and were rewarded with a view that you will never be able to get otherwise. It puts everything in the mountains into another perspective, seeing the sheer size of deep-blue glacier lakes, rock formations etc. On top of that, for us it was an adventure alone to fly in a small Cessna plane, basically sitting in the cockpit yourself. How cool is that?! The check-in process was fast and efficient and our pilot was very friendly and she told us everything there is to know about Garibaldi during the trip. Not that we were afraid of flying before, but we did feel safe and comfortable with her flying the plane.

Our planned flight had to be changed to a later time due to the weather conditions. The communication with seatosky air was on time and spotless. We were honoured with a unique experience. The flight was quiet and the views in beautiful sunshine breathtaking and with the descriptions of our experienced pilot an adventure that we will not forget so quickly.

You can already read it in the title: we are really excited about our experience with Sea to Sky Air! It was the first time we were flying in a small plane so in the beginnen we felt a little bit of stress. But our female pilot (I’m very bad in remembering names) managed to take that away by being very enthousiastic, professional and friendly. As the views too offcourse. You just forget to be scared thanks to all the amazing views over the Garibaldi mountains. We choosed the Whistler backcountry flight. Not the cheapest one but we think it was totally worth it! If you’re thinking about going to Squamish (or near) really consider to put this on your itinerary. You won’t regret it! For us it was the highlight of our trip in Canada and I would do it again immediately.

Katie was our pilot and from the first hand shake she was a delight! She is confident and knowledgeable and knows the Sea to Sky region like the back of her hand! We had the perfect weather and it was the best part of my birthday for sure! What a stroke of luck we happened to drive down the road and see their sign. The views are breathtaking and it was incredible to me that you can see right from Black Tusk all the way to Mount Baker from up there! Too many mountains to list but Garibaldi Mountain and Lake, Black Tusk and Table Mountain were some of the highlights. I must have said 50 times how beautiful is our province! You will not be disappointed! Book it, see it and agree. My husband say I'm always right and this one is an easy win! :)

Surprised my boyfriend with an amazing flight tour at Sea to Sky Air on his birthday and we had such a great time! The Whistler Backcountry Air Safari tour was everything we dreamed it would be and our tour guide was so knowledgable and friendly. She made the experience a great one and had so much to say about Squamish, Whistler, and the surrounding mountains, lakes, and glaciers - you could tell she absolutely loved doing what she was doing. Would definitely recommend this, it's an experience like no other!

An awesome flight up to Black Tusk and then down to Howe Sound to circle around the Chief. Braydon was our wonderful pilot full of interesting info.

I decided to surprise my boyfriend with the Introductory Flight Experience and Whistler Backcountry Safari sightseeing experience for his birthday (and as a taster of the beauty that our province has to offer) and we had a blast! Customer support (Vicky) was prompt and perfect from the get-go when I asked about the feasibility of doing the two back to back and was extremely flexible and willing to work around our schedule. This amazing service continued onto the day with the lady at the main office and our pilot and instructor Braden. The views were incredible from the plane and Braden was fantastic at putting the both of us at ease while taking us around such beautiful parts of BC. It definitely didn’t hurt that we almost had ideal flying conditions! I would definitely recommend both the Introductory Flight Experience for anyone who is considering flying (I think he’s hooked!) and the Whistler Backcountry Safari! Would love to be back to try out some other offerings! Thank you all for a successful birthday surprise and an amazing experience!

I was working on a book that required good views of the mountains and features around Lake Garibaldi: the Black Tusk, The Table, The Barrier, Clinker Peak, etc. What unites these distinct mountains is that they are all volcanoes that erupted during the last Ice Age, when the valley was still filled with glaciers. The clash between lava and ice has produced unique features found nowhere else on earth. Unfortunately, hiking in to the lake was not going to happen on our timeline. Thankfully Sea to Sky Air was there with their aerial tour. For an affordable price compared to other air tours of the sort, in an adorable little Cessna, we got magnificent shots of most of the things I needed. The weather didn't cooperate, so I didn't get the vistas of Mount Garibaldi itself, but that wasn't the pilot's fault. Our trip brought us there in late June, when there was still some snow on the ground and clouds in the sky. We also did the tour in the morning. Later in summer, and later in the day, might clear that up. Speaking of our pilot, he was very affable and knowledgeable. Besides showing the sights of the area he gave us a recommendation for a great local restaurant for our post-flight lunch. The flight was mostly smooth, except for some turbulence at the end. Between that and the claustrophobic effects of the small Cessna cabin, I was ready for the flight to end in the last 10-15 minutes. The preceding 40 minutes were fantastic though. I highly recommend Sea to Sky Air for those who want a different view of the gorgeous and unique mountains north of Vancouver.

<p>We absolutely rave to our friends and family about our sightseeing flight above the Whistler area! It was my favorite activity of our weeklong trip to B.C. I never dreamt I'd be able to see those mountaintops, glaciers, and lakes. It was beautifully serene and surreal. Our pilots were informative, friendly, and highly skilled. SO glad we took the tour!</p>
