We had a great day, Leonardo was attentive, knowledgeable and struck a balance of giving information but not being too much. It was an early start with pick up at 7 but this meant we were 1 of the 1st people at the sea to sky gondola and Shannon falls and so had to space to ourselves which was brilliant. We specifically picked this tour having seen feedback from other tours where people said 3 hours in Whistler was too much. With this tour we had 1 hour 45 which was ample for what we wanted and meant we had extra photo stops that other tours didn't have. Small group size too which was also good. Would 100% recommend this tour.

Itinerary
Start your adventure in the vibrant city of Vancouver, a coastal gem surrounded by ocean and mountains. While we won’t stop here, the scenic drive out of the city offers a taste of its natural beauty and skyline charm. As we head toward Whistler, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Vancouver’s waterfront and forests—just a preview of the breathtaking landscapes that await along the Sea to Sky Highway. Sit back, relax, and let the journey begin!
Kick off your adventure with a visit to this coastal treasure nestled between the mountains and the sea. Porteau Cove offers a front-row seat to the deep-blue waters of Howe Sound, BC’s southernmost fjord. Breathe in the fresh ocean air, walk along the pier, and take in panoramic views of snow-capped peaks reflecting on the water. It's a peaceful and photogenic spot that's perfect for a quiet moment before the journey continues — keep an eye out for seals or even orcas in the distance!
Next, feel the rush of nature as you stand at the base of Shannon Falls, the third-highest waterfall in British Columbia. Cascading from a staggering 335 meters (1,099 feet), these falls are both powerful and elegant, surrounded by mossy trees and granite cliffs. A short, accessible trail leads you through a lush West Coast rainforest to the perfect viewing platform. The thunder of the water and the mist in the air create a revitalizing experience — a true natural wonder that brings you up close to BC’s raw beauty.
Prepare for a jaw-dropping ride up the mountainside aboard the Sea to Sky Gondola, where you’ll rise 885 meters (2,900 feet) above sea level in just 10 minutes. Each gondola cabin features floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum views of the surrounding fjords, forests, and mountains. At the top, take your time to explore the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, panoramic viewing platforms, and alpine trails. The views of Howe Sound, Mount Garibaldi, and the Tantalus Range are nothing short of spectacular — this is a bucket-list-worthy experience that will take your breath away.
Tucked away in a peaceful forest just south of Whistler lies Brandywine Falls, a 70-meter (230-foot) cascade plunging into a deep canyon. The easy walk through old-growth forest leads to a dramatic viewpoint that offers one of the most picture-perfect waterfall scenes in BC. The falls are surrounded by basalt cliffs and framed by wildflowers and greenery in summer. According to local legend, the falls were named after a bet made between two surveyors over a bottle of brandy — adding a touch of history to this natural marvel.
Arriving in Whistler, you’ll discover a world-famous alpine village that blends outdoor adventure with charming mountain culture. Walk through pedestrian-only streets lined with boutique shops, galleries, restaurants, and cafés. Whether you choose to enjoy a leisurely lunch on a sun-soaked patio, visit Olympic Plaza where the 2010 Winter Games took center stage, or simply explore the area’s scenic walking trails, Whistler has something for every type of traveler. It’s lively, vibrant, and framed by rugged mountain peaks — the perfect mid-day stop to explore at your own pace.
Before the return trip, we’ll visit Green Lake, a hidden gem just outside Whistler. This striking glacial lake is named for its vibrant turquoise hue, a result of rock flour from the surrounding glaciers. Set against a backdrop of towering mountains and quiet forest, Green Lake is a tranquil and stunning photo stop that often goes unnoticed by the typical tourist. It’s a peaceful finale to your scenic journey — and the perfect place to reflect on an unforgettable day of exploration.

We had a great day woth Leonardo. We specifically picked this tour as we had read reviews of other tours saying that they had too long in Whistler. This tour was different as it had additional stops for photos and shirt walks and then about 1 hr 45 in Whistler which was ample time unless you want to go shopping. There were just 4 of us on our tour but he can accommodate more than that but its a small size in comparison to other tours. It made it more personal which was great. It was an early start but it meant we were at the sea to sky gondola when it opened amd had the suspension bridge to ourselves as well as the look outs. Leonardo was attentive but not over the top, the balance was right. He brings his super well behaved dog who you wouldn't even know was with him and was no problem at all. Would recommend this tour 100%
I had a great experience during tour to waterfalls, Sea to sky and Whistler. A lot of beautiful places to see. The mini-bus was comfortable. Leonardo was a great guide.
Great stops along the way to Whistler. Just enough time in Whistler. The sea to sky gondola was amazing the views to die for. Leonardo was an excellent guide. We had brilliant weather. He even spotted some whales 🐋 Thank you
Awesome excursions. Leonardo was the best tour guide. He added a stop when we said we saw a whale-a bonus to our trip! We were able to see whales and sea pups. Weather was gorgeous and the scenery was spectacular. Time at each stop was perfect.
It was so frustrating trip due to guide guy , so uncomfortable car too , we were on last seats ( 3 persons) . Very congested and we were hurt by car roof every time. I travelled lots of time via viator but it was the worst trip in our life . We will never forget this worst trip .
Leo our tour guide has a wealth of knowledge of the areas we visited and was very willing to answer all our questions.
Great experience, and a good way to see a bit of everything between Vancouver and Whistler. The sea to sky gondola was also very beautiful.
Leonardo is an awesome guide. We had a very nice day and thoroughly enjoyed having his very well behaved canine companion with us. We saw such beautiful scenery and never felt rushed. We learned a lot about the area from Leonardo and had ample time to enjoy it. This tour is a great way to experience different areas of Vancouver.
A lot of beautiful places to see and our tour guide Leonardo was very informative and he sees to it that all of us are comfortable and enjoying our trip. Thank you
Leonardo was amazing! Despite a rocky start to the day with a flat tyre he pushed through and still put on an amazing day for all of us! Plus his sidekick was pretty cute! Thanks Leonardo ☺️
Leonardo was a great guide. Despite starting the day with a flat tire, he was Lovely and provided useful information at every step of the tour. The tour itself was amazing with no waiting time at the gondola. Great tour, great guide! It was nice to have a small group of 11 persons. We highly recommand. Thanks Leonardo!
Leonardo was a fabulous host. Very knowledgeable about this beautiful part of Bc. We had a lovely dsy visiting laksa, waterfalls and mountains! Thank you!!
Leonardo was a wonderful host and guide on our day trip to Whistler. We saw gorgeous waterfalls, lakes and on to a gondola ride and suspension bridge with amazing views. Leonardo was so knowledgeable and welcoming. We had a wonderful time. Thankyou!!!
The tour was an early start, but well worth making the effort to get up before the crowds. Our tour guide Leonardo was knowledgeable and very personable. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, being able to go up on the Sky Gondola before the long lines, and this made a big difference. Whistler Ski Village was a fun and interesting location. This trip was one of the highlights of our vacation.
Leonardo , took us around the tour. He was knowledgeable and could take the best pictures. He gave us some extra time for family pictures. He was very personable and very professional. Our family enjoyed him as our tour guide.
Alot of nature walking. dress in layers. It was absolutely fantastic. Guide was wonderful, very knowledgable and friendly.
Our guide, Leonardo, made the trip a perfect day. He picked us up on time, provided us with information about each site and was able to answer our questions. We had the best time and would definitely recommend!
Leonardo was a great guide very informative and caring I would recommend this tour.
Great trip. Leonardo was very informative and well organised. Day ran smoothly, can't fault it.
I knew that I wanted a smaller tour group and this really delivered. Leonardo was super friendly and a fun guy. Very knowledgeable and happy to have a chat with us all. We were a group of 7 and it was so much more personalised than one of those big group tours. All the places we visited were fantastic! Plenty of time to look around and spend time in each location. Would definitely recommend
The operator cancelled my tour but did not tell me it was cancelled, hence wasting time at pivkup and missed the experience
We enjoyed our tour from Vancouver to Whistler. Our guide/driver Leonardo was friendly, helpful and accommodating all our needs. We were lucky to have a wonderful sunny winter day, we came home with fabulous photos of all sightseeing points. We would recommend this company to any age group.
Cannot recommend highly enough. Our guide Leonardo was fantastic. A wonderful day out. I will be back with the family next year!
We booked an entire trip to Vancouver just to take this tour and they canceled without any notice whatever. There wasn’t a phone call, a message or email NOTHING. We doing our after waiting in the lobby for and hour and messages to the tour company that went un responded to. My husband and I planned this months in advance and are now out hotel expenses, travel expenses all because the tour company “Bearly There Tours” couldn’t be bothered to give us notice that they didn’t have enough people to run this tour. This was a horrible experience and it was our families holiday trip so that made it twice as bad. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Leonardo was our guide for this tour and he was exceptional! He drove us to all the places and provided all the information we needed. He is very knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend this package to anyone who is looking to explore as many places as possible on the way to Whistler Mountain.
From the confirmation message the night before my tour to the dropoff at my hotel after the tour, Leonardo was more than accommodating. He is full of knowledge around the area, friendly, and punctual! Definitely will join his tours again!!!
Leonardo was a great tour guide, giving us a good perspective on all the sites that we visited. Would definitely recommend this tour if anyone is wanting to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and explore the beautiful nature just minutes away.
Great Tourguide, thank Leonardo so much for his professional skill and knowledge making my Family trip so fruitful. And he drove carefully and smoothly
The tour was wonderful. Our tour guide Leonardo was very nice and informative. He was very knowledgeable about Canada and the areas we drove through. He had absolutely no issues answering any questions you threw his way, you could tell he enjoys doing this, i doubt you would ever get a tour guide better than this.
The most incredible tour! I can't believe how much we managed to do in one day. The early start is SO worth it, we were the first ones on the Sea to Sky Gondola and had the trails to ourselves! The waterfalls take your breath away and Whistler is very charming. Leonardo is a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable and the best photographer too! I would recommend this tour to anyone without hesitation.
Fantastic. 5/ 5 🌟 First of all, a warm thank you to Leonardo for being such a great tour guide. A message the day before was so helpful and Leonardo met us at the hotel meeting places. There were 6 of us. Clean comfortable transport and Leonardo was so informative and gave us plenty of time to explore - he showed us Horseshoe bay plus Shannon Falls & Brandwine falls were both mindblowing 🤩 Sea to Sky Gondola included with the suspension bridge is a must see. Leonardo even stopped for me to briefly visit the Virgin River set ( Jacks bar) and took some memorable pics. Chief Rock at Squamish wow and The beautiful Whistler and Green Lake plus all the history in between. I highly recommend this adventure. If you have Leonardo as your tour guide then you are super lucky. My friends in the UK and USA are loving the pics and videos on social media. Big some $ to tip 🙏 Thank you and best wishes Amanda UK 🇬🇧
From the moment that Leonardo arrived right on time to collect us, I was confident this tour would go smoothly. With only 6 people in a small passenger van, it was much more flexible and personal than a large group tour would have been. All the locations were well worth visiting and provided enough walking to stretch our legs without exhausting us. Although this is normally a return trip, we had prearranged to be dropped off at our accommodation in Whistler on the way back, which was very convenient.
Gondola ride sea to sky was wonderful, waterfalls were amazing. Because of a small group we went in a van, uncomfortable for those sitting in back seat.
We just had the best day - Leonardo is a really good and freindly guide. His tour was the perfect setup for us, allowing us to see some of the most beautyfull places north of Vancouver in just one day and without having to rent our own car. Super easy, great nature, crazy views and a hiking-level where everyone can take part. It was money well spend - please do your self the fever and try a trip with Bearly There Tours, it is time-uptimized and will lead you safely into the nature.
This tour is full of fantastic views, first time experiences, and much more! I enjoyed visiting all six, yes, 6 destinations: Porteau Cove - Shannon Falls - Sea ⛵ to Sky Gondola - Brandywine Falls - Whistler and Green Lake! Leonardo was a great tour guide providing historical and cultural points of interest during our travel to the destinations and during the actual tours. He answered all our questions with ease and constantly made sure we were all together as we toured each destination. I can't believe I rode the Sea to Sky Gondola that was over 2,900 feet above sea level AND crossed the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge that's over 325ft feet long AND over 2900 feet above ses level. The views from both were amazing and the experience thrilling. The scenery and views at Shannon Falls and Brandywine were beautiful. Leonardo was on time, friendly and professional, and very knowledgeable and helpful. He was a wonderful guide!
Leonard was so great. He was kind. He was attentive to everyone's need. He was very informative and had great energy. It was a pleasure having him as our tour guide. Thank you so much for a great experience. I hope to see him again on another tour.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely incredible experience on our tour from Vancouver all the way up to Whistler! Even with the rainy, gray weather, it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The views were still stunning mist hanging over the mountains, waterfalls gushing from the cliffs, and the winding Sea-to-Sky Highway offering glimpses of the coastline that felt almost cinematic. Our guide Leonardo was knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the area. He made sure we didn’t miss any of the hidden gems along the way, from the lookout points and waterfalls to great little local spots for coffee and snacks. The pacing of the day was perfect enough time to explore and take photos without ever feeling rushed. Once we reached Whistler, we had time to wander the village, grab a bite, and soak in the mountain scenery (and yes, a bit of rain!). Despite the weather, everything felt well-organized and relaxed, and the drive itself was comfortable and scenic. For the price, this tour was 100% worth it!!! you get so much more out of the day than you could on your own, and it’s such an easy and enjoyable way to experience the natural beauty of British Columbia. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Vancouver: rain or shine, it’s a must-do.
I Highly recommend this tour. We are so fortunate to tour with "bearly there tour by Leonardo. Such an accommodating person. He give so many extra points, look out, like Brandywine fall, tantanus, Green lake, and more. Please ask specifically for Bearly There Tour.
We were picked up by our tour guide Leonardo Cerda Ruz. He is a very good and helpful guide and we enjoyed our tour. He explained and showed us the beautiful scenery .We would recommend to others to join his tour. Thumps up to Leonardo.
It is a great trip with several stops. Beautiful views! Our guide Leo was wonderful and tailored the trip to meet our needs.
We had a wonderful day!! Our guide, Leonardo was outstanding . The scenery was magnificent and we loved the gondola ride and suspension bridge. I highly recommend this tour. It's well worth the price.
A great experience to Whistler with our great guide/driver Leo. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommend him.
This was a fantastic trip. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. We got to see a variety of things in a small group. Spectacular views!
Leonardo, was the most professional and knowledgeable tour guide. He gave my family a great experience. His tour was very personable, and it offered more stops than the average Whistler Tour from Vancouver! I highly recommend him, and I do not normally leave reviews. He’s the best! 😁
From the punctual pickup at the hotel to the well-organized stops to the informative explanations from our guide Leonardo: I can fully recommend this tour. We were a group of seven travelers, which I found to be a good number of people.
The tour was perfect from beginning to end. From the attentive and polite guide Eduardo, to the other tourists who composed the group
