Victoria To Vancouver Scenic Seaplane Transfer: One Way

Sure beats taking the Ferry!!! The pickup is near downtown Victoria - so it is very convenient and fun

I had a good flight w/ Harbour Air from Vancouver to Victoria. I then had some good photo ops after with the Harbour Air aircraft from their docks & parking. So nice to have a seaplane experience and fly downtown-to-downtown WITHOUT long lines. The walk to/from public transit was notable, however.

We fell into the tourist trap by booking it as a ‘tour’. In fact you can safe lots of money by just going onto website directly and book a flight. It’s the same flight. The flight itself is a worthwhile experience. However it’s the tourist trap I rate my review on. I hope they could have just put a link to the flight booking website rather then selling it as a scenic tour experience at a premium price. I could have paid as little as $250 for 2 people flight. Instead, we paid $800.

This is just a commercial flight from Victoria to Vancouver. You can save lots of money by booking directly on the harbour air website - just book a flight. If you think this is a tour, you’re totally mistaken. Read the fine print.

Please be aware that you may encounter an unauthorized baggage charge from Harbour Air. I recently traveled from Vancouver to Victoria Harbour and noticed an excess baggage fee charged to my credit card. At no point was I informed that my bag exceeded the weight limit, nor did I authorize this charge. I have contacted Harbour Air’s customer service requesting clarification on why I wasn’t notified, but I have yet to receive a response. I recommend checking your statement if you’ve flown with them recently.

This was a lot of fun! It was a lot tighter inside than I was expecting. Take off and landing were very smooth. This was a last minute add on for us but wasn’t over the top expensive.

Beautiful scenic views!!!! Easy flight and easy on and off. Highly recommend this way to travel for anyone.

It’s not a tour as advertised. Slightly misleading advert. It is simply transportation to and from over picturesque views

The views from the seaplane were terrific. It made for a short flight back to the mainland instead of a three hour coach/ferry trip.

Nice and easy and a fun overall experience! The ride was very smooth and the views were incredible. It was so easy to get from Victoria to Vancouver and we were so close to our destinations at each, it made the trip super convenient!

Just so much easier than the ferry! Worth the (large) premium if you are doing a day trip from Vancouver to the Bouchard Gardens and Victoria.

A first for us, a seaplane transfer from Victoria to Vancouver, a journey time of 28 minutes. A smooth take off, but a loud take off, as the engine comes to full throttle and after a short bounce in the sea we are up. Islands pass us by and in no time whatsoever Vancouver is beneath us and it’s time for the landing, as smooth as the take off and then we taxi to our floating dock. Thank you Harbour Air for allowing me to tick off one of those things on my bucket list. Special thanks too for allowing us to leave our luggage with you once we had checked out from our hotel on the morning of the 29th April. Our flight was at 16.00. We didn’t experience any issues with Harbour Air as we had paid the extra baggage allowance, plus we had priority boarding. As staff were friendly and the price we paid for the flight we thought was reasonable. My only disappointment was on this day and on this type of seaplane 2 pilots are required, thus depriving me of the chance to sit up front with the captain. As you can probably tell I still enjoyed the whole experience. I know I’m a self confessed aviation geek and proud of it.

I like the efficiency of traveling with Harbour Air I wish you have senior discount 15%. Then I will travel more often using Harbour Air.

Do not fly Harbour Air if you have any kind of luggage. At $5 per lb, these crooks will screw you for every red cent. The customer service agent suggested that I buy a whole new ticket, with no credit for the ticket that was already purchased. For an additional $150 on top of the $190 ticket, it would have been more convenient just to fly out through YYJ. Even the big airlines use common sense when it comes to changing tickets and not screwing the customer. The combination of the ticket and luggage fee was now the combined cost higher then the most expensive ticket that they offer. When asked to get on an earlier flight, the reply was no, even though there was plenty of room on all previous out going flights to Vancouver. Customer service a big fat 0. Taking care of the customer after gouging the customers another 0.

Great view of the city, the mountains, and the surrounding islands! So convenient, easy access! The pilot provided a great and safe trip!

When planning a day trip from Vancouver to the Island, debated ferry versus plane and decided on the latter. The day was magnificent and the views from the plane unreal! Some 10 years earlier had travelled by ferry during a winter ski trip but this was well in front of that experience. The day was spent with a visit to the famous Bouchart Gardens and then caught up with local friends for an enjoyable lunch on the warf in Victoria. and a stroll around the parliament building - all in all a truly memorable day.

Great experience. Had never flown on a seaplane. When I purchased the ticket I did not see a weight limit, so I had to pay more for the flight when we got there.

It was an amazing experience with a smooth check in and boarding procedure. If you want a quick ride to Vancouver with breathtaking view, this is the must!

I have a fear of flying so was very nervous for this experience. The convenience of checking in, quick on-time boarding, confident crew and smooth flight made this entire trip an absolute pleasure. The views were incredible and the quick duration was a highlight. I would recommend and do this again.

My husband, teen age sons and I took the sea plane from Victoria to Vancouver on our (first) trip to Canada. The location and check-in was extremely convenient, views while in the air were truly an experience in and of itself, and it was quicker than the fairy. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is that my son was queasy. That aside, I highly recommend it.

We changed the date via Viator and even though I had an email from Viator confirming the change, it had not been notified to the seaplane company. Fortunately the seaplane company were kind enough to make the change at the last minute, otherwise our tickets would have been lost. So, piece of advice: DO really confirm your booking in advance!

After arriving in Victoria by BC Ferry, we spent a great day touring the island ending downtown where the seaplane port was conveniently located. The staff was friendly and efficient. The flight was excellent, giving us a birds eye view of what we had seen from aboard the BC Ferry that morning. The location of the air terminals were conviently located in both cities. Well done to all!

We loved our short trip from Victoria to Vancouver. The pilots and staff are very friendly and helpful. Very smooth flight at 9am and wonderful views since we flew so low. Will do this again whenever I am in the area.

We paid a lot of money for sea plane flights and whale watching-trip of a lifetime. However, sloppy incompetent arrangements with Viator who had not booked the correct flight time out which meant we would have missed the whale watching trip. Also no return flight had been booked! A shocking and stressful experience. The lovely staff at Vancouver air re-arranged flights and whale watching on another tour which was great in the end, no thanks to viator. We had to pay for a taxi from the boat to the sea plane, our day was cut short. Will never use viator again and publicise a message to friends, colleagues, family.

The only way to travel between Victoria and Vancouver is via seaplane! Everything was easy...booking, finding the "terminal" and the flight as a whole. It's a quick and easy flight between the two cities and depending on if you get a window seat, you may experience fantastic views.

On time both ways and an effortless commute! Well organized and professional staff. A tad pricey but the convenience almost cancels that out.

Safe, smooth and quick flight back to Vancouver from Victoria. They let me sit in the cockpit and I had a great time!
