Victoria Guided Food And History Tour

Andy met us right on time. The tour was super informative, the food was great, and Andy was a delight.

We had so much fun on the food tour in Victoria. Andy was an amazing guide showing us many of the great food offerings in downtown Victoria, while also sharing many great stories about the history and surroundings.

Andy was great. Led the tour in pouring rain and it didn’t matter in the least. He clearly had warm relationships with the staff at the restaurants we stopped at.

My sis and I weren’t sure what to do on our first ever trip to the Vancouver Island. Andy took us around downtown area and tasted some very delicious treats! Thanks Andy, we had a fun time!

This is a great tour for all foodies! Andy is very warm and personable so makes everyone feel welcome. My husband did not feel well on the day of the tour so I was alone. Andy put together a doggy bag of the samples so I could take it to him. Very thoughtful. All of the samples were tasty. I’m not a very adventurous eater but I was happy with all the selections from Korean chicken to matcha tea.

Andy did a great job sharing his love for his town. The food selections were eclectic and delicious. Andy highlighted the community and his love of his relationships. Highly recommend

Andy our guide was very knowledgable and very engaged. He loves the city, food and the community of restaurant and food shops owners. He was able to take us through the history and unique alley ways of China town always with some great stories great sense of humor and tasty food. It was one of the best tours we ever took….thank you Andy.

There was nothing I didn’t love about this tour. Andy is exceptional. Highly knowledgeable, warm and charming, and obviously very connected and respected by to the wonderful vendors and businesses we visited. Suggest you book this tour early in your stay, so you can pick Andy’s brains about the food scene and revisit many of his places of recommendation.

Andy was extremely professional, knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited places that you wouldn’t necessarily go in but the food was delicious - never judge a book by its cover ! Would definitely recommend this food tour if visiting Victoria. Fantastic

Andy was a great tour guide and took us to many unique specially curated places. His knowledge of the town was vast and he had a friendly but informative way of guiding our group. All of us on our Girl's trip enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Wish we had done this tour years ago. Andy showed us so many hidden spots and culinary gems that we would never have found without him. The portions are generous at the food stops so come hungry. This is an extremely well run tour and you can tell Andy has a warm relationship with the shop owners. It is well worth your time and the price of admission.

Enjoyed the tour! Easy 2 hour tour with lots of time to sit and enjoy excellent food! The history of Chinatown, Oldtown and Inner Harbour was interesting. Andy was informative and personable, moved us along at a comfortable pace. I recommend!

It was a wonderful tour — such a variety of both food and beverages. Andy was knowledgeable and provided a great history of Victoria and insights including visiting several of the iconic alleys. Food was awesome and we learned a lot. Highly recommend!

Andy is a wealth of knowledge and clearly enjoys his job. The selection of food on the tour was great and it really highlighted smaller, family owned places. I loved the sense of community all throughout Victoria. The tour flew by and I couldn't believe nearly two hours had passed when we were done. We went back to two places to purchase more treats to take home with us.

This was our second tour. Our first was with my partner’s brother (now sadly departed), which we really loved. On this visit to Victoria, we invited his wife to come with us. Once again Andy excelled with his knowledge of the history of the area and his selection of providers with delicious food and drinks. We will continue to recommend this tour to others. Andy also provides participants with a list of recommended places to visit - highly useful!

You learn some history about the area and get to taste some unique and really tasty items from some great places you might not have wandered into yourself.

It shouldn't be news by now that this is an excellent excursion. After 10 years on the job Andy maintains his enthusiam. Vendors also seem to like him. Nice balance of snacks offered and enjoyed the alleys we toured.

This a two hour walking tour with an easy, relaxed pace, lots of delicious food, and plenty of interesting stories about the history of Victoria. The time absolutely flew; it was so much fun! Andy clearly puts so much hard work and care into designing the tour and building relationships with those working in Victoria’s food industry. Andy also did a great job making sure the vegetarian in our group always had something delicious to eat along with the rest of us. It was so special to try so much of the amazing food the city has to offer and to meet the people providing it! I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to eat and wants to learn about the city, its history, and its communities.

Andy was a very knowledgeable & entertaining guide. He shared stories and answered questions about Victoria. We participated in macha tea service, had meatballs, chocolates, chicken and Filipino pastry. Really enjoyed the walk & tastes.

Andy was great! Fun facts, great history, great food. I’m gluten free and he made sure to have an option for me (i.e. I couldn’t enjoy a bakery treat but he brought something sweet from a wonderful spot that was GF so I could partake at that stop). Very friendly and enjoyable tour!

I must confess I typically don't expect to enjoy much from food tours but as a foodie, I'm usually okay with that. But my taste buds were very pleasantly impressed with everything on this tour. Andy himself was the best thing about the tour - his easy personality, rich knowledge of the area, its history, the people and all the lil details made this so much more worth it If you're considering this, I definitely recommend going for it. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful food tour with Andy. A concise 2 hours was jam packed with fun facts and fascinating history and 6 different tasters from local vendors across a variety of cuisines and food styles. Victoria has an extraordinary amount of restaurants per capita and that level of competition results in truly great food, unexpected for a city this size. Adapted for gluten free requirement of 1 in our group easily. Highly recommend! Plan to spend a couple hours post-tour going back to the alleys and shops of Victoria.

Amazing food tour with our guide, Andy! The food choices were a fantastic and varied sampling of some of Victoria, BC’s finest. The history and hidden alleyways throughout the tour impressed even the BC locals. However, the most impressive part of the tour was Andy himself. His positive energy, enthusiasm and engaging personality kept things moving in a very fun and unforgettable way. A must do tour for anyone visiting Victoria - even if you’re a local!

One of the best tours I've ever taken. Andy gives you a great tour of parts of downtown Victoria with interesting history and facts while you get to try some amazing food. I have allergies and both he and the vendors we went to were so accommodating. Worth every calorie and every dollar!
