The Trolley stopped across the street from our hotel. It got us to the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park, Gastown, Granville Island (and its amazing spots), and pretty much every other place of interest. The friendly part was the tour guides (several) who had information AND stories and were happy to interact with us. We even shared dad jokes.

I always take the hop on hop off in a city. It’s a great way to get to know the city. Our guide Suki was very knowledgeable and it’s always fun to learn about history or anecdotes. You can stay on and enjoy a complete circuit first if you want and then get off at the places you are interested later or just hop off and hop on multiple times. It’s about 40 minutes between each tram.
So much information about the city of Vancouver BC.
Very nice tour. I ended up leaving my backpack on the trolley and with a phone call to the company. They went out of their way to get it back to me very much appreciated..
The Hop on Hop off trolley was very convenient and made getting to many sites very easy. Most of the drivers and guides were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this 100%.
This hop on hop off was great. It took us everywhere. We wanted to go. We would recommend it to anyone.
This was my 1st visit to Vancouver and I knew I wanted to take a hop on hop off tour on my 2nd day to get the lay of the land. There were several companies to choose from and I'm glad I chose this one. It allowed me to cover a lot of ground in one day and decide what locations to return to later in the week. This tour differs from the others in one important way. The trolley vehicles are small and the driver and tour guide are very accessible. It's not the cushy-giant-coach experience that tends to keep everyone at arm's length. My guide, Ryan, was a friendly local with lots of knowledge and experience in Vancouver. The setting allowed for questions as we traveled along, so there was a relaxed vibe that I appreciated. Ryan was happy to chat at the stops as well, and it was kind of like having an uncle show me the city. I prefer this type of low-key tour over one on a larger scale, although each has its place. If I had one recommendation, it would be to put more padding on the seats!
Sherry was fantastic. She gave us a locals perspective and she always had something to say and we loved it.
Fun experience on the old Trolleys very knowledgeable guides and drivers would recommend as a great way to see Vancouver sights of interest
Honestly, don’t waste your money on this hop on hop off trolley bus. The buses are old and the windows are held closed with paper towel. The guides were funny and that’s why I gave a 3 star rating. They need to update the buses or retire them
It is a good experience. The driver Jay was funny. Affordable price, the bus goes around the city and passes by all the major must see.
Back of the trolley is noisy due to the motor and sound system was just ok. The driver was very knowledgeable and very service oriented. The route covers all the areas I wanted to see and know about.
Arriving at 9am, we took full advantage of a day filled with sightseeing. Our 1st tour guide, Suki, was courteous, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. It was a great day, hopping off at sites & catching the next trolley.
This was a great way to see Vancouver, including Stanley Park and Granville Island. We got off in Stanley Park and walked about 30 minutes to the Totem Poles. The was a nice little open air gift shop and cafe there with some tables out front, a great place to pick up some souvenirs and have a tea/coffee. We then got back on the trolley and off at Granville Island. We were near the end of the tour there and it was late in the day so our tour guide was kind enough to direct us how to take the bus back to the train station to get to our hotel. Can't remember his name, but the guide was informative and personable. All in all, it was a great day! We would definitely recommend it to anyone!
The tour is educational and I liked that there is a live map available to see where the other trolley is running. We can conveniently control and manage our time. The tour guides and drivers were very entertaining. Travel is smooth and seamless.
Got to see all areas of the city! Our guide was fun and informative, but it wasn’t his regular gig, so I’m left wondering what information we would’ve gotten from a more knowledgeable guide.
Great. Was our first time downtown Vancouver. It gave us key spots where to visit during our stay. Guides were very helpful.
Great tour operators and this is a great way to see a city. The live map allows one to see when the next bus is coming so it is easier to plan your hop off experience.
I had a really limited amount of time to sightsee in Vancouver while I was here for work. I was walking around Canada Place and saw the Trolley pull up and caught the last tour of the day on a whim. I was alone and there were only a few others aboard so it almost felt like I had a private tour! Suki was my driver and tour guide and he was awesome. I wish I had had some CAD on me to tip (reminder to you- bring cash!) because he was really great. I didn’t hop on or off but rather did one big loop, which took just under two hours. I can see why the hop on/off would be valuable if I had more time because the stops were convenient to things that seemed interesting, like Stanley Park, Chinatown, and the Planetarium. My only complaint if I am being SO nitpicky is that the seats were hard after almost two hours, and if I went again I might bring an extra sweater to sit on. All in all, this was a great way to see Vancouver.
this one is definitely better than the usual big red bus, they were on time, the staff are friendly. i like that the driver also acted as the tour guide who explained some stories about the place, i also like that the tour allowed us to see around vancouver. will recommend!
It was very interesting. Both the driver and thé guide were very friendly and knowlesgeable. It Made for a perfect tour. We highly recommend it
Such friendly staff. The tour guide and bus driver were interesting and made the ride enjoyable. We enjoyed the trolly over the double decker bus.
We usually join hop on hop off tour bus to every city we visited if they’re available because this is a very effective way for us to know the city history and highlight places in such a short time. But with this gray line trolley is so much more enjoyable as riding the antique trolley itself is quite an experience plus entertaining tour guide and driver really added personal touch. Chris and Ryan are the champs, thank you for spending time with us!!
Very knowledgeable Dudes. Loved the live tracker to see were the next trolley arrival time. Would definitely use again.
Friendly and informative guide and driver. I like the more personable and intimate environment of the trolley over the much larger double decker tour buses.
The driver and narrator were first class Knew loads about the city and commented with skill and humour. The journey covered some really interesting places with both contemporary and older history. First class trip.
Seats on tram are firm, so not comfortable. The audio microphone and speakers were not working on the first tram, so tour guide struggled until a new unit was made available after 35mins.
A nice overview of Vancouver. Driver was very knowledgeable. We found the stops to very convenient to key sights.
Well worth the money! My husband and I learned quite a bit about the city. Thr stickers were wonderful and very entertaining.
Excellent your more intimate that the big buses. Good range of stops and driver / guide great. We booked direct as was much cheaper than clicking through TA.
Great overview of the gorgeous city of Vancouver. We did one full loop with Lynn and got a great feel for the city, its neighborhoods and all it can offer. We then stayed on for a second loop so we could hop off to explore the totem poles and have lunch (definitely a must do stop), so we got a second tour guide for the remainder of the loop and she was FANTASTIC - she shared lots more history and fun facts (but we forgot her name!). A great tour if you have limited time and want to see all you can!
The driver also gave us great city details and it was so nice. Great experience would use again when here
Brayden and Dave were awesome. Dave made extra stops so we could take pictures. Brayden was knowledgeable and entertaining. We did the loop twice.
It was really nice to have live guides who told stories and gave great advice. The guides were friendly and full of energy.
Braden was the guide, and he was great. Knowledgeable, engaging. Chris was the driver, so could only join in sometimes.
Sites were interesting. Drivers were pleasant
Really informative guides and drivers, trolley’s all clean and well kept, did not have to wait long between trolley’s
Fun and knowledgeable guides describing sights. Great route with ample stops and trolleys ran every 25 min. Tour was on a Saturday.
Great tour around Vancouver and Stanley park and the guides and drivers made it fun and easy love the trolley concept
Efficient way to receive an overview of Vancouver, allowing us to easily visit places we were interested in.
We were able to use the pass for 24 hours, no issues. Drivers and guides were very good, friendly and knowledgeable.
Our driver Lynn, was excellent, loads of information as we went to each stop. Awesome ride, thank you Lynn ( hopefully i got name right)
Ryan is outstanding. Very well informed, interesting commentary, paid lots of attention to us. Professional, warm, terrific guide.
Grant and Brandon were great fun and very informative. I stayed the whole trip with them ! Great local knowledge , loved the old tram , much nicer than a bus .
Great way to get around the city. Guides and drivers were excellent. Suki. Ryan and David and I can’t remember other names. We had fun on each trolly. Great value. Thanks.
Great guide and driver. We were on the 10:15 departure from Canada Place pick-up stop. Good introduction to Vancouver. However some of the stops are mis-labeled in that 20 is labeled Chinatown but it does not go near it. From the Gastown stop, walk 8 blocks on W. Pender St. and you will come to it at the cross street of Carroll where the arch over Pender indicates the start of Chinatown. Don't miss the Chinese-Canadian Museum on W. Pender. Excellent display of history of the Chinese community in Vancouver. Stanley Park overview is fascinating too.
We are enjoyed the tour and commentary all about Vancouver.
The first day was excellent and everything worked. The second we got an Uber to Granville Island and planned on taking the HOHO bus back and using the live map we started walking to the Granville Island stop. When I looked at the live map again the bus skipped stops 15 and 16 and it was already at the Granville Island stop. We were 150 yds away from that stop as it drove away. We were not happy. We took an Uber back to our hotel.
Excellent guide. Seating uncomfortable. Website inaccurate as far as schedule and location of stops.
Thought this is one of better trolley tours that we’ve done. Enjoyed the beach stop with the various metal statues. The rose garden was exceptionally beautiful. Unfortunately we did not get to see the museum district. I thought the tour guides were quite informative. Overall, it was a great experience and way to spend an afternoon in Vancouver.
