Terrible. They cancelled the night before via 1 email. They never bothered to call, even though they had all our phone numbers from the sign in sheet. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

We had fun not only visiting the scheduled places but also hearing about Bronson’s experience of growing up in rural Canada and living now in Vancouver. He had great energy! He was really good with keeping our 11yo interested.
A lovely morning/afternoon exploring some of Vancouver’s yummiest Asian cuisine and history. Connor was an amazing guide, with so much knowledge to share.
My nephew and I had a completely wonderful experience on this tour with our delightful guide Preethi. The food was delicious and we loved her introduction to Vancouver’ s Asian food scene and culture.
Preethi was amazing. So knowledgeable and helpful! I would recommend this to anyone. If you’re thinking about it do it, Do It. And do it at the beginning of your trip.
My family of 5 took the Downtown Asian Eats tour with Anjela and it was amazing!!! The route is thoughtfully planned with stops at iconic Vancouver eateries, enough time between destinations to work up an appetite again, and fun little stops for shopping. Anjela was a fantastic tour guide and we learned so much history and interesting trivia along the way. Appropriate for little kids on up. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!
My husband and I were excited to see this VC downtown tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and catered to our individual needs and concerns. The food choices were excellent, as were the variety of stores and markets that we visited. We would not have had such a wonderful experience if we tried to discover these places on our own. Definitely will be trying the other tours offered by this tour company. Definitely will go back to all the restaurants we visited. Shout out to Anjela guide. We'll try and book another tour her.
This was an exceptionally good foodie tour. It was extremely well organised and the guide (Pretty??) was superb. Her local knowledge and her knowledge of Asian food was just amazing. In addition she was pleasant and engaging. The food was to die for!! Exquisite and such generous portions. It was really good value for money. We would absolutely recommend this tour. We have done good tours in many countries and locations. This was by far the best we have ever experienced.
If you’re considering a food tour, look no further. Angela was the highlight of our trip. She was so enthusiastic about showing us some of the great food places in Vancouver. The food was delicious. The pace was perfect. Come hungry because there is a lot of food. I highly recommend this tour.
We were excited for our second food tour upon our return to Vancouver, and we weren't disappointed. Our host and guide, Manuela, was most excellent. Her enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge re Asian food, culture and Vancouver's Asian food scene was a beyond impressive. It felt like we arrived as strangers and departed as friends! The tour itself was unlike any of the many big city food tours we've taken. Rather that squeezing in 7-9 short stops, our tour was designed to include only 5, creating a more leisurely and intimate experience. Tasting is not a fair description of our food experience, as beside our "tastings" of dumplings, Asian soft serve ice cream, we also shared both a full sum dim and Korean BBQ meal. We completed our tour with stop to enjoy a delicious desert fruit drink that was a perfect ending to a wonderful gastronomic excursion. WARNING: come with a big appetite and pace yourself ... you won't leave hungry!
We had only one day in Vancouver, so the tour was a great way to jump in and learn, eat and have fun. Our tour guide, Preethi, was not only personable, organized and professional, but also knowledgeable about food and the city. We loved all the food we had and appreciated that it was curated for us to enjoy highlighting both bigger restaurants and more hidden gems.
It was an excellent excellent experience. Aside from the wonderful food, Manuela and Bronson were convivial and warm tour guides. I have been on food tours all over the world. This by far is the best.
Anjela was a fantastic guide! Food was more than enough and super yummy 😋… We went to places, I’d never have found by myself 🤩.
We had a great time on the Foodie Tour with our knowledgeable guide, Angela. What stood out was how each element of the tour was carefully selected to give a diverse experience. The food items we sampled were of high quality, reflecting the rich culinary diversity of Richmond. Angela's insights into the local food scene not only made the tour informative but also provided an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the vibrant community of Richmond. Plus, the friendly group of fellow food enthusiasts made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a tour that offers exceptional food and a chance to learn about the local community, the Foodie Tour with Angela is an excellent choice.
Delicious food from start to finish. The tour guide was not only very knowledgeable but made the walk interesting and fun. A great walking tour. Highly recommend.
This was a fabulous walking tour! The food was so delicious at each stop - top quality! Our tour guide, Lydia, was excellent and gave great explanations of what we were eating and interesting stories, too! Highly recommend this food tour!
Our Tour Guide, Angela, did an amazing job of introducing us to the area we were in, the food we were eating and the significance of both of these. She was engaging and made it comfortable for us! We enjoyed the different types of food we ate, the pacing, and thoughtfulness of food choice from start to finish (starting with "heavier" or filling food, then smaller amounts or snack size type of food.) Overall, would recommend, even if you're a local! Always good to learn about new food spots!
Outstanding Asian food in Richmond. Food was incredible and the guide Angela was very knowledgeable and engaging. The Richmond China town has so much more food variety than the Vancouver China town. We had a wide variety of Asian food. Started with the best Dim Sum I have ever had. Then made several stops with each tasting more delicious and unique than the one before. If you love Asian food but don’t know where to go, go on this tour.
A wonderful way to spend a day with our multigenerational family reunion. If not for this tour, we would not have ventured to Richmond. Lydia and Michelle were amazing guides with a lot of knowledge about the area and the amazing foods we tried. They also gave us recommendations for other places to eat and places to go visit. This would definitely be an area we would visit again when we are in Vancouver again.
We had a wonderful time on our tour with Lydia and Michelle. We were a large multigenerational group and enjoyed learning about the Asian culture in Richmond. If not for this tour, we most likely would not have ventured out to this area. The food was amazing from the dim sum to the cafes at Parker Place to the boba tea. Would highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Vancouver!! They also gave us great recommendations for other places to eat and visit. Will definitely visit this area again when traveling to Vancouver.
We had the best time on the Asian Eats Walking Tour with Daray! She shared so many fun traditions and bits of information and history with us. The food was outstanding, and we felt completely immersed in the culture and vibe of Richmond. Daray took care to make sure each of us on the tour were enjoying ourselves. Looking forward to tryin another Vancouver Foodie Tour, and wish Daray would be able to stay and host us again!
We are an extended family of 9 from various parts of the US . Our guide was Lydia and she was lovely, very informative about the neighborhood and where to get the best food. We all agreed we would absolutely do this tour again if the opportunity was available.
It was a great experience. Our tour guide Daray was friendly, knowledgable fun. The places we visited was authentic and delicious. Definitely found some new go to spots!
We took two food tours of Vancouver, and although the other was wonderful, this tour was extraordinary! Our guide was Michelle: she was friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic about her neighborhood's food! We were treated to a full dim-sum brunch and THEN got tastes and bites all through the Richmond neighborhood. For many of us, these were new flavors and textures, and we were delighted by it all. We also enjoyed discovering the neighborhood, with its upscale mall, markets, bakeries, and cafés. Just a note: our tour focused on Cantonese and Taiwanese food, but that was enough for us! When I booked the tour, I thought the price seemed a little high, but afterwards when we considered the quantity and quality of food as well as the tour, it seemed definitely worth it!
Great introduction to Richmond markets bakeries and restaurants. Michelle and Lydia are so warm and welcoming we had a blast
We did the Authentic Asian Foods tour as a birthday celebration. We live close to Richmond but really only visited the occasional bigbox store there. It was such a wonderful experience. Daray, our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and the history of this unique community. Lots of interesting stories. And the food!! It was absolutely delicious. Can’t recommend this tour and guide highly enough. Thank you.
Angela was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. I had no idea that the Richmond community existed and it was wonderful to see and support all of the local businesses and restaurants. Great food and a good way to spend an afternoon learning about the Asian communities in Vancouver.
Everything we tasted was amazing. We had plenty to eat and enjoyed being guided by a local, Michelle who was so interesting to talk to. Highly recommend this tour.
This tour was a nice introduction to the food and culture of Richmond. Without this tour I probably would not have gone to Richmond. It was well paced and we had a nice variety of food. Our guide was very friendly.
This was a fantastic tour! We got to see some hidden gems that we would have otherwise never known existed, food that was selected was fantastic. Our tour guide, Michelle, was so knowledgeable about the area also very friendly. Would recommend this tour to anyone, even thought I live close to Richmond, I would never had known some of these places existed.
We had a great time! the tween, teen, Gen X and boomer on our multigenerational trip all enjoyed it. Daray was a wonderful tour guide. Learned lots and the food was amazing. Recommend this tour highly!
This was such a special tour for our team building event. We really got to experience and explore an area that we weren't familiar with and taste some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, Our guide Michelle was full of knowledge and tips that only a local would know. Would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and unique experience!
It was a lovely way to explore our own backyard. Great recommendations and the options were well selected with unique options. Would definitely recommend this tour for locals and visitors.
THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE!!! This tour was one of the major highlights of our time in Vancouver/Richmond. Anjela and Michelle were absolutely lovely and amazing as they shepherded us through fantastic stop after stop. They were patient with questions and quick to provide background information to enhance our tour. Highly recommend.
Our guide Deray helped us to navigate the Richmond foodie scene showing us a great time. She is Chinese born but educated in Canada so has knowledge of both cultures. This is an area that we are not familiar with so it was fun to be shown the local hotspots. We will definitely go back with more confidence to the restaurants and food stalls she showed us. I highly recommend this tour and our delightful guide.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Asian Foodie walking tour. We sampled foods I had never tried before, everything was delicious. Our guide Daray was delightful and helped us learn more about the foods and cultures. This tour took us off the beaten path to parts of the city we would otherwise have missed. The electronic “chEAT sheet” provided after the tour was a great take-away for future visits to the area. I highly recommend this tour, it is a good value for a unique experience at an accessible price.
All I can say is WOW! I love this new tour from Vancouver Foodie Tours. We were guided through Richmond by our guides Michelle and Daray. They took us on what felt like a behind the scenes experience of many authentic asian restaurants and stands. The places that only the locals would know about. We started with a sit down dim sum experience, from buns, dumplings to noodles, there is no shortage of food here, so come HUNGRY! We then got to go to Chinese bakery, and super authentic asian food court and ended up with some refreshing bubble tea! Definitely a great way to spend a morning in Richmond!
Really great food on the tour! Our guides Michelle and Daray, were super knowledgeable on both the food and Chinese culture. If you’re looking to feast on some great Asian food, this is the place!
I've lived in the lower mainland my for the greater part of my life and this tour opened my eyes to Richmond. I've been 30 minutes away from some of the best Asian food outside of Asia. Our guide Michelle was so kind and knowledgeable. She shared the history behind the foods we were eating as well as the history of Richmond. She even had recommendations for other locations for us visit later on. Best bites were the chili dumplings and beef roll at Joy's Taiwanese food. This tour is a must try!
This is a new tour exploring Richmond, BC (in Metro Vancouver) known for its large Chinese and Asian population, and as a result, authentic Asian cuisine. This tour is currently the only guided food tour in Richmond so an incredible way to have a knowledgeable local host take you to where the locals dine. I'm local, and can confirm this to be true! The guides are so friendly you feel comfortable asking questions and sampling new foods, there is not much walking and there is A LOT of eating so you will feel you receive excellent value for the tour cost. Experiencing this Pacific Northwest city is really about learning how much the dining scene is influenced by Asian cultures so this tour is a must-do for any visitor (or local!) in Vancouver and Richmond.
We had an awesome time on the Authentic Asian Eats tour led by Daray and Michelle! We visited a lot of different places and were certainly not short of food. It was great to learn all about the Asian culture and traditions whilst also trying food I perhaps wouldn’t have otherwise selected or known about. It was also really interesting to walk around the Asian malls and look at all the shops and stalls. Fave stop was definitely the beef roll and chilli wonton at Joys Taiwanese food.
My girlfriend and I were in Vancouver for a few days and did the Asian Eats tour, it was fantastic! All the food was delicious and our guides Daray and Michelle were extremely knowledgeable and passionate, we learnt loads about the history and culture of Richmond. The tour included a wide variety of foods (and lots of it!) and there were loads of additional recommendations of other places to visit at a later date. We would highly recommend the tour.
This tour was awesome! Michelle (our guide) was passionate about the food and sharing the culture surrounding it. In our first stop we all sat down around a table and got to know each other while sampling fabulous dim sum. Not only did we enjoy great food and delightful conversation, but we also learned a lot. Michelle answered every question we asked. I've been on food tours all over the world and this was an A-1 experience.
As a Vancouver local, this tour opened my eyes to the amazing food scene I've been missing in Richmond. The best bites were definitely the Chilli Wonton and Beef roll at Joy's Taiwanese Food. Our guide Michelle was very knowledgeable and full of amazing stories and recommendations for further food adventures.
