Our guide Brunson was great! He was knowledgeable and funny. Thank you for a great time Brunson!

A working steam clock, one of only a few in the world, located in Vancouver's Victorian Gastown.
Blood Alley Square is adjacent to Trounce Alley, one of Vancouver's original roads. Its narrow cobblestone lanes, historic streetlights, and brick buildings bring a unique sense of character unlike anywhere else in the city.
The central intersection of Gastown - great for patios and people watching! You'll see a cross-section of old, new, modern, and old-school living here!
Water St. Café offers classic Italian cuisine with influence from our beautiful West Coast, an award-winning BC-focused wine & beverage list, and live music.
Creative cocktails & seasonal fare served in a century-old warehouse setting with a 38-ft. bar.
The name refers to the ancient Mexican monarchy honouring the influence both his parents made on his culinary style. While his mother inspired our sister restaurant Ophelia, the familial tradition has continued here at Monarca where you’ll find playful dishes and a lively atmosphere inspired by Chef Higareda’s father.
Their commitment has always remained the same – to use only natural, local, and organic ingredients. The menu now features organic Sourdough, Chocolate Babka, pastries, as well as hot dishes like Borsch, Cabbage Rolls, Handmade Pierogies, and much more
The City of Vancouver is a coastal, seaport city on the mainland of British Columbia.
Lively Gastown is known for its whistling Steam Clock and mix of souvenir shops, indie art galleries and decor stores in Victorian buildings. A trendy food and drink scene includes chic cocktail lounges and restaurants serving everything from gourmet sandwiches to local seafood. Hip eateries also dot the neighboring Downtown Eastside area, while the up-and-coming Railtown district is home to edgy fashion studios.
Downtown is Vancouver's primary business district, houses many arts, entertainment, and sports venues, and is close to several vibrant residential communities.

Fantastic tour. Never done a food tour anywhere but now I think I’ll make it a regular thing. A great way to get under the skin of the city. All the restaurants are very welcoming. It is a great idea to experience some of what Gastown has to offer and to see some places you might want to go back to. Our guide Bronson was great. A great potted history of the area also.
First the positives - Bronson our tour guide was energetic and knowledgeable. We had a beautiful day to do a walking tour in Vancouver and 3 hours was a good amount of time for this foodie tour. The other 2 guests on our tour were from Australia and fun to talk to. Now the "but"...this is a fairly expensive tour - over $430 US for 2 people, plus tip. Is it the beer and 2 cocktails that make it SO expensive? Is it the cost of living in Vancouver? Of the 3 stops, the Ukranian restaurant with the DIY drink was unique. If there were 3 stops like this one, the cost would kind of make sense. The last stop for dessert was a mini-ice cream cone. Having done foodie tours in many different cities, was expecting more for the price.
Conor our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable . The whole tour was great fun in part because of the other 2 guests Cathy and Michael. We liked the mix of restaurants and food choices - the orange margarita was fabulous 🍸
Conor did a fabulous job of mixing light history with quite an eclectic fare! Def recommend!!! Cocktails were optional but recommended.
You really must take this tour, and ask for Conor Wylie. The food is really exceptional and he is so fun and knowledgeable, it just flew by. His choice of food were over the top, elevated, interesting, and all delicious. What a great way to experience Gastown. Wish we had time to take all his tours. Don't miss this one!
Funny and knowledgeable guide. Exquisite selection of foods, surprise diy cocktail and margarita. Some funds to discover and architecturally interesting venues. Best goodie tour in a long time. Thanks Bronson
Gastown is a fascinating funky historic area. Very flat decent walking surfaces. Entire tour takes place within just a few blocks. Enjoy some inventive and creative food. Bronson was a great tour guide. Highly recommended.
Loved the tour! Bronson was amazing! He made sure we had enough time to enjoy the food and to soak up the views and history of Gastown. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you are a foodie! The highlight for me was the mini cocktail-making session. We combined a surprising mix of ingredients to make a delicious cocktail that felt like Christmas in a glass!
Good was great and we learned the history of Gastown. Bronson was a great guide with lots of knowledge and enthusiasm. Left very full and satisfied.
This is an amazing tour to get a wonderful taste of Gastown. Our guide Conor was extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful guide! We highly recommend this experience!!
Our guide was Conor was fantastic. Our group was fun and Conor was very entertaining. The food and drinks were paired nicely and were unique.
My partner and I had a great time. Bronson was an fun and welcoming guide. The food was so good, we went back to one of the stops, for the wine, in particular.
Bronson was able to shepherd our group of 12 to some nice restaurants in the Gastown neighborhood. The food was excellent. Bronson was knowledgeable and able to share stories about the area and the wonderful food. Our group was very international and we were able to chat and connect during our short walks and dining at the different restaurants. We had a great time.
Our group of four (4) international visitors and our wonderful guide, Conor, met at a well known landmark in Gastown and we learned a bit about local history. From the delightful steam clock to the delicious Monarca margaritas, and finally, the layer cake at the Ukrainian community epicureal wonder...our food tour was a resounding success. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic afternoon walking, eating and drinking our way through Gastown. Nolan, our guide, was very personable, knowledgeable and a fun host. The three spots we went to were all good and very different. Our group of six clicked too, we went out after as a group. I’d highly recommend this tour.
Conor was excellent and the food and drink were fantastic. Our favorite food was at Water Street Cafe
Enjoyed our time with Bronson. Learned a lot. He was engaging and very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions we had while on the tour. Loved his high energy. Would recommend this activity!
Our guide Bronson was absolutely wonderful!! He was passionate and knowledgable about food, beverages and the gastown district! He shared entertaining stories of local history as well as interesting facts about the food and drinks at each establishment. We highly recommend him to any the would like to know more about this quaint area of Vancouver and its food.
Everything about the tour was fantastic! Bronson our guide was knowledgeable, funny, and a great guide. The food was wonderful at every stop! Loved exploring Gastown and learning about this part of Vancouver!
Do not miss this tour! My husband and I loved it! Three great Gastown restaurants, three remarkable food and drink pairings and most of all, our incredible guide Bronson! What an enjoyable afternoon and a great way to get to know the diverse foods of Vancouver and in particular, Gastown! Thank you Bronson for your incredible personality, knowledge of Vancouver and introduction to three great restaurants! Love, love, loved it!!!
My husband and I have taken many food tours’ from NYC to Budapest. We now make sure this is our first adventure booked as it gives us a true feel for the culture of the city. Our guide, Nolan was outstanding ! He was born and raised in Vancouver’ therefore very knowledgeable about the history of Gastown. The owner of the company has selected a wonderful variety of foods giving a true taste of culture and flavor. Come hungry, the portions in all locations were large! My favorite was the cocktail and pierogi at Kosak.
It was a beautiful day in Vancouver Brandon was a good guide. The food was not what was listed in the discription but it was very good. I have went on many food tours. My only complaint is it takes to long. For the 3 hours they need one more food stops. Even if it's one where there bring out a tray with samples There is too much time waiting. Over all a good day
The tour and all three restaurants were amazing! Our tour guide Bronson was very upbeat and knowledgeable. All the food tasted great and I would high recommend this tour.
This was the first time we have been on a foodie tour anywhere and we really enjoyed it. The tour was included by our travel agent and it was a great suggestion. We met our guide (Bronson) and three other couples and set off promptly. We visited three different restaurants and sampled dishes and drinks. Everything tasted good and the Mexican was our favourite. Bronson made the experience interesting and funny with lots of local stories. It was a pleasure to be on a tour led by a young Canadian as up until then we had mainly met British and Aussie hosts during our tours.
We thoroughly enjoyed this food tour! We've done several, all around the world, and this was a really generous one in terms of food and drinks. Our guide, Gabriel, was excellent! We learned so much about Gastown and the history of Vancouver. He was able to keep our large group in sync, and we could always hear him well. Had a great time!
We celebrated our anniversary with a dear friend at this tour. We enjoyed the company of our tour guides, Conner and Broden, for three delicious tastings—truly three courses for an ethnically diverse meal, each with an appetizing alcoholic beverage. We couldn’t have had more fun nor could we have had a better meal while walking around Gas Town.
This was a great tour to sample a number of different restaurants around Gastown. We tried a number of different cuisines and especially loved the seafood tostadas! Nolan was a fantastic guide, who clearly enjoyed what he does and and was very knowledgeable. We definitely recommend doing any of the Vancouver Foodie tours! Thanks for a great evening!
Our group of 26 were split in 2 and had 2 of the most incredible guides!!!! Nolan and Preeti were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, very hospitality forward, and so much fun. The food and beverages were nothing short of fantastic! 5 Stars!!!
We tried excellent restaurants and we loved the food and drinks! It was so much fun ! Would highly recommend this tour!
Been on several foodie tours. Great group of people to tour with and good host. Wait staff was excellent. Only 1 of the 3 restaurants (Ukrainian) served very good food and beverage. Disappointed in the Mexican and pizza place.
This is one of the best walking tours we've ever booked and we have Bronson to thank for it. He was such a great host with very engaging conversations for all to join. The restaurants we visited had very delicious tastings and are great finds for future outings. We would definitely book again next time we visit Vancouver! Thank you Bronson and thank you Vancouver!!!
enjoyed the tour guide, brandon think the ukranian restaurant was the best. I would have liked staying at one restaurant for full course meal.
It was a fun experience our tour guide Bronson was fun, funny, and full of information. The food was good and Bronson gave us great recommendations for dining later on our trip.
Our guide Preethi was excellent! So knowledgeable and easy to talk to. And the 3 restaurants we went to, along with the food and drinks, was amazing. All in all we had a wonderful time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food trip around Gastown. Enjoyed an eclectic mix of Mexican fusion, Italian and Ukrainian foods. Pryti (my apologies I'm sure I spelled that wrong) did a wonderful job of relating the history of the area and pointing out the things that make it unique. Great place to visit with some wonderful restaurants.
Prethi was an outstanding guide. The venues were exactly right; interesting and tasty food. The margaritas at Monarca were a treat. The pizza at Gastown Gastronomy was very good and we closed out the meal with a special tiaramisu. Prethi's knowledge of Vancouver history and her Vancouver perspective were enjoyable and informative. We are very happy that we took this tour.
Very unique restaurants with great hosting and good times. Highly recommend. Not super plentiful in terms of volume of food and drinks but still enough for a good time. Bronson as our host was very personable and friendly.
Was a little more expensive but SOOO worth it! The three restaurants were definitely more upscale, wonderful iconic Gastown locales…. excellent food with great drinks. Our guide Bronson was outstanding! Very knowledgeable, high energy and lots of fun. We’ve done lots of foodie tours and this was definitely one of the best! Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our afternoon tour with Bronson. The format of the tour was short guided walks around a small part of Gastown, followed by food & drinks in a restaurant - this was repeated 3 times. Whilst we enjoyed the food and drink we were served, we didn't feel that the tour lived up to some other food tours we have done in other cities - it would have been nice to see more restaurants, over a wider area. In particular, half the dishes served are in the final Italian-ish restaurant which, whilst perfectly tasty, didn't feel like anything we couldn't find in every other major city in the world. Overall, we had a good afternoon, which was lifted by our guide's tour style and knowledge of the local area.
A group of 11 people soon started chatting and made for good company. We ate at a lovely Ukrainian restaurant - which we would honestly not have considered if not on the tour. This was followed by Mexican , then Italian. All were located literally within one block so not much walking needed. Lovely chatty engaging informative and attentive guide Preedi ( sorry about spelling !🤣).
What an amazing Gastronomic adventure! Manuela was brilliantly informed, engaging and generous. We could not have asked for a better guide or a better time.
We had a great time with Bronson. He was full of information about Gastown ! He knew the food inside and out and introduced us to some new dishes. It was a fun few hours!
We immensely enjoyed a great tour with our knowledgeable guide Bronson when we had our Gastown Gastronomic adventure with Vancouver Foodie Tours. We had out of town guests and it was such a pleasure to show them around this historic area. I would highly recommend the tour with the tasty food and beverage offerings, great samplings that paired well and fit the locations.
Our guide Chirug was funny, informative and polite. Tasty samples and drinks. Recommend the IPA in Steamworks and the chicken in Guu but all good.
I had a magic experience at Vancouver Foodie Tours Gastown experience. The food was amazing - an eclectic fusion of delicious dishes from local restaurants. The best part was that our guide knew the area really well so in addition to great eats and drinks, we also learned a lot about the history of Gastown. I highly recommend this tour.
An unexpected gastronomic delight. After doing the Granville Market tour with Vancouver Foodie Tours, we were sure this tour would be good but it exceeded our expectations. Bronson, our guide was full of knowledge of the food, restauranteurs and Gastown. The variety of the food was wonderful and not the usual things. Not just a small sample of the food at each restaurant, by the end of the tour we consumed a full meal. Well worth the cost of the tour. Again, Bronson was a delight to spend three hours with, we felt we have a new friend.
Just 2 hrs ago dismessed from this tour, a "real experience" meeting people from everywhere, listening to brief historical introduction to city, places, foods, discovering special menus and tasting delicious dishes. Thanks to Antonella and Matt who contributed populating and sharing the experience, and thanks a lot to Anjela our host from VFT, one of the best guide I met ever, she really "gave her heart" with passion and being professional at the same time (shinzo wo sasageyo).
Totally would recommend that tour. With Bronson as our enthusiastic, knowledgeable and funny guide we felt well looked after. Learned new things about Gastown which I as a Vancouverite really enjoyed. The choice of restaurants was great. (The cheese plate option at Jules and the Pizza at Gastronomy did not keep up with the rest of outstanding foods). Bronson’s introduction to each meal, the service, the selection of wines and non alcoholic drinks definitely memorable. The tour was slick, well organized and time flew. A winner!
