Resurrection, East van and brew hall were very fun and made even better by our guide, Darren! Had a group of 19 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Just enough time at each. Had appetizers at BrewHall and the Mac and Cheese bites are so good! Fun 3 1/2 hours!
Kevin was such a nice and friendly tour guide! We enjoyed our tour and his company and all the facts he shared with us! Definitely a highlight of our trip!
We had an amazing time with Kevin our tour guide! The breweries were top notch and he answered all our question and gave us an informative behin-the-scenes tour. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out with friends.
It was a solid tour. We’d give it a good 10 out of 5. The host, Michael, was cool and knowledgeable. The stops were all enjoyable and we met a lot of interesting people along the way!
The guide was friendly and knowledgeable about beer and brewing. Had a fantastic company with my fellow beer enthusiasts. I like that we weren’t rushed.
Hi This tour was a gift from my lovely daughters for Father’s Day. It was an awesome experience with the knowledge and compassion of our guide Tim ( the kilted one) what a pleasure. I know my daughters really enjoyed our outing and I will forever remember the experience. Sincerely JP
I booked a private tour called the Mash Up tour which consisted of a brewery, distillery and winery all in downtown Vancouver. It was amazing! We had Darren as our guide and he was great! I highly recommend going with Canadian Craft Tours for any of their tours. Will definitely book them again.
Kevin was great and told us great facts and stories about the various areas we went through on our way to the breweries!!! We had a great time with our group who we strangers when we started and friends by the end! We visited 3 breweries and had some great samplings!
Had such a great time with our bachelor party crew experiencing 3 great breweries across Vancouver with our amazing guide Kevin! Kevin was very knowledgable on the brewing process and very familiar with the 3 breweries he took us to. All of the breweries were great, each with their own unique flare. Would highly recommend!
Our guide Kevin was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the different breweries and the process in making these great brews! We enjoyed looking behind the scenes at one of the breweries and tasting some of the recommended dishes. The lobster Mac and cheese was a favourite. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends.
My buddies and I took the East Vancouver tour, as it was suggested as one of the Thursday evening activities to do, at the conference we were attending. We got onto the bus expecting it to be an evening of wild partying. We were quite mistaken. Kevin, our tour guide took us to East Van. Brewing, Andina Brewing and Off the Rails Brewing. The bus was clean and he drove through the Vancouver traffic with ease. When we arrived at East Van. Brewing, our table was set with our flights. A staff member, told us about each of the beers that we were about to enjoy. Kevin, followed up by telling us more information about the brewery and the history of the surrounding community. It was very interesting and informative. There was an opportunity to purchase food here as well. My buddy and I took part in some grilled cheese and lobster sandwiches. Excellent!! The same thing happened at Andina Brewing, the flights were ready for us and we were told more about the beers we were partaking in. Once again, South American food was offered and some of the others in the group bought some and it was enjoyed by everyone. The food was awesome!! Kevin told us more about the brewery, community and how some of the beers were made. The final stop was at Off the Rails Brewing, and here the owner allowed us to choose four beers for our flights, from a choice of about sixteen options. The beers were excellent and Kevin took us into the back of the brewery here and gave us a tour of the location and told us about the process of brewing and bottling the beer. This was a totally different experience than what we were expecting. This brewery tour was informative, quite posh (we were all well looked after) and fun. We did not leave the bus at the end "whooping it up" in a drunken haze, but more "buzzed" discussing which beers were our favorites and how enjoyable the entire experience was. Kevin was a Rock Star. We thanked him for all that he did! On the way home from the conference, we were still talking about how great the brewery tour was.
Second year doing this event. Tour guide Smit was amazing. He was friendly and went out of his way to make it an amazing event
Awesome tour. We were able to get a last minute reservation. Kevin our guide was great. Recommend for anyone looking to sample some great "flights".
I had booked the private beer bike tour for a birthday and it was a lot of fun! Kevin was our guide and he was great! Very kind, funny and nice. We got to play music on the bikes and he was very flexible on us staying longer at any of the brewery stops if we wanted. Was a fun Saturday afternoon!!
We have just got back from the tour led by Darren. What a lovely friendly and welcoming guy. From the moment we met him we knew we would enjoy it. There was 2 of us plus 4 people from Quebec. Lovely group of people who were good fun. The three breweries we visited were so different to each other and the choice of beers was a very good mix of Pilsner, IPA, sours (didn't realise they would taste so good) and a stout. We ate in the East Van brewery. The lobster mac n cheese was very nice and very welcome after quite a lot of beer. I would recommend this tour to go with your partner or with friends. There are no negative comments to make as we both really enjoyed it. Thanks Darren.
This was a great way to experience local brews away from downtown. Each place was quaint, flights were ready for us when we arrived and meeting new people on the tour was the best part.
Great tour. We took the minibus tour in Vancouver with to three different breweries. Its clear that they have a good relationship with them as the beer was ready to go with the guide knew each beer and the different setups. The tour on the second brewery was quite informative and showed a good understanding of the brewing process. All in all lots of fun.
Great Brewery tour Kevin was an excellent guide Great beer and good atmosphere About 3 1/2 hours total Great food to purchase at a few breweries
We had a really good time on this tour, our guide Raphael was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beers were delicious and good to go to places you wouldn’t normally know to visit! Recommend
Had Kevin as our guide. It was a really fun afternoon, everyone on the tour was pretty friendly and got a nice tour of the area generally. There was a stag AND a hen group but again, it was nice and friendly and quite fun to be honest.
Excellent tour! Went for a bachelor party and it did not disappoint. Rafa was a great guide to deal with before, during, and after the tour. All went smooth, and the experience will be remembered for all who were involved. Highly recommended booking a tour with Canadian Craft Tours if your looking to check out the Vancouver's craft beer tour scene. Will defiantly book again.
This trip was such a blast! Rafa was so much fun, so passionate, and so knowledgeable about the beers and the breweries. I’m no beer expert but loved most of the ones we tried…and make no mistake—they give you plenty! Would definitely do this tour or a different one with this company again!! Can’t recommend enough!!
Was a fun way to try new breweries with a group of people. Our tour guide was great! Excited about the experience and knowledge about brewing.
Super fun experience!! Did this tour with a friend and had the best time! Our tour guide Rafael made us all feel comfortable joining the rest of the group (a bachelor party!) and helped our group connect so that we could have a fun tour together. We really enjoyed how knowledgable Rafael was about the history of the breweries, the brewing process, and the beer tasting methods (YES, you ARE supposed to drink your flight in order). Highly recommend this tour!
Super fun, only complaint was maybe more time at each place! Rafael was our guide and we liked the second brewery so much we went back the next day. Rafael did a good job with keeping us entertained and playing good music too
Darren was amazing! Very knowledgeable and great humor. We truly enjoyed our beer tour experience and look forward to coming back for a distillery tour soon.
Kevin is a great tour guide. Great service and the best tour I’ve ever done. Would book again. Bachelor party!
Kevin is a legend. Knew his craft well and took care of the boys on our bachelor party. 5 stars all day
We booked for a combined bachelor/bachelorette tour. We had Kevin and Emily as our guides and they were the best guides we could have asked for! The beer was great, and the food reccomendations were delicious!
We had a great time on the It’s a Pizza Party” tour. Our tour guide, Kevin, was pleasant and well organized. The drinks and tour at the distillery were very good and of course the pizza tasted awesome.
It was a fun tour! The service was phenomenal. Visited multiple breweries that I never knew existed. The breweries had a variety of beers to sample. Would definitely recommend.
Went on a tour with a group of friends and had a blast. Would definitely do it again. The staff were very knowledgeable.
Darren was our guide and he was amazing. Gave us a great tour of the local breweries. If you love beer , I would highly recommend Canadian Craft Tours. Awesome experience!
Fantastic time, enjoyed some great local beers and food with a great tour guide Darren who was quite knowledgeable with the beers and the city.
What a great tour! The tour guide Darren was well versed in the back end on how to make beer, he was helpful and answered all the questions that we had. Very accomodating also! This was a great addition to a 40th birthday celebration weekend in vancouver and would highly recommend this to any group!
I've booked with Canada Craft Tours twice now. First for my husband's birthday and second for a work event a month later. The tour guides were fantastic, super helpful, and friends. Chris went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time.
Chris was awesome Very knowledgeable and friendly Went the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly! Great beer suggestions Had an awesome time
Chris was an amazing tour guide!!!! We had so much fun on a Bachelorette with him as the host. The bike, the breweries, the host - all 10/10.
Our brew tour for a bachelor party was great! Darren our guide was amazing! My only negative would be that our Burgers at Big Rock Brewing were burnt. We also didn't get an actual tour of the breweries... may have been the grooms fault lol! Thank you Darren for putting up with us!
Fantastic experience, what a blast! Our guide was wonderful and the bike tour great. Some of the peddles weren’t functioning so not everyone had the full experience but overall brilliant idea!
Darren King was our guide and this was the best tour we could have asked for! We chose to do this for a bachelorette party and Darren made sure we had the best time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, and ask for Darren if you can!
On Saturday August 7 2021 we were booked on the 11 am Brewcycle ride with Canadian Craft Tours. There were 6 of us in our party, with an additional 5 in another group who joined the same tour. We arrived at the meeting location to be told that some of pedals chains did not work and could/would not be fixed, so some of us would just be sitting. When we started the ride 3/6 of us had working pedals, this quickly reduced to 2/6. Those pedaling were exhausted (even with the electric engine to “help”) and those unable to pedal felt useless. Whilst some of us pedalled, and others existed in a state of confusion, we slowly made our way along a lane way and across a street where we were then asked to disembark so the bike could make its way up a hill. As we turned the corner, we arrived at our first stop which “Finch and Barley” – this is a lovely place, great cocktails, but not a brewery. Our guide told us we were stopping here because none of the breweries were opening until 12 pm – this piece of information would have been useful when we booked the tour – or perhaps a company offering tours of breweries shouldn’t start them until the breweries open? We were seated at Finch and Barley, given menus and then told the server would return. At this point we realised what we were experiencing is a key example of why Vancouver is sometimes called a “no fun city”. We’d done a Brewcycle in Portland and had a great time; we were not having much fun so far. We all decided to make the best of the situation and treat ourselves to a cocktail as the beer selection was limited to beers we could pick up at a local BC liquor store. When the server came over she asked if our guide had let us know about the limited options for tours? We had no idea what she was talking about so asked for some clarification. She informed us that due to the large size of our group, we weren’t allowed to order cocktails, instead we could have beer, wine or perhaps a Caesar. Generic beer we could get a liquor store it was! After sitting at Finch and Barley for 40 minutes or so, it finally got to 11.50 am which meant with the slow speed of our vehicle that we could start making our way to stop 2! We pedaled (or didn’t if you were 4/6 of us) on to the next stop, Streetcar. We spent 30 minutes there before pedalling (or not) on to North Point. At North Point, the guide soon told us the tour was over and said his goodbyes. The tour was suppose to go on to 1.30 pm but he said goodbye just after 1 pm. We gave him a cash tip, but this was more due to sympathy for him and his broken brewcycle and to say thanks for taking a couple of group photos. When we left North Point to walk to our next stop (faster than the brewcycle) we found the discarded vehicle down a side street, the guide had obviously given up on it. We sat at another brewery (not included in the tour) and worked out that we had paid $41 per person to be taken half a block up St George’s Avenue and then up and down East 1st street (no beer is included in the rate). We had been on the bike for a total of about 15 minutes (not always in motion). We had been ripped off and genuinely feel like we should get a full refund. Below are the approximate bike riding times between each stop, obviously we moved a little slower because the pedals didn’t work: Starting Point: 72 St George’s Avenue (3 minute bike ride) Stop 1: Finch and Barley, 250 1st Street E. (1 minute bike ride) Stop 2: Streetcar Brewing, 123A 1st Street E. (2 minute bike ride) Stop 3: North Point Brewing Co., 266 1st Street E. (END) We would not recommend this company or experience. Walk or bring your own bike to go between the breweries, you’ll have an extra $40 to spend in them per person.
Great experience and lots of fun with Scott! Got to check out three Vancouver craft breweries. Experienced different types of beers and food. Was cool to be a tourist in our own town and enjoy being driven around to the various locations. Highly recommend!
In December, I booked a brewery tour for January 11th as a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law and her partner. A few days before the tour started, I called to confirm everything was set and all the details for them. Four days before the tour I received a confirmation email about all the tour details. They booked a hotel room downtown and planned a whole evening around the brewery tour. Then, TWO DAYS before the tour, I checked my voicemail after work saying the tour had been cancelled and my credit card was refunded. They offered to book me a more expensive tour for the same price but three weeks later, which obviously was too late for. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of communication from the company and won't be booking with them again. If you book a tour with them - be flexible because it might not be on, especially if it's during a more quiet time of year!
Tour was great for a group. Experienced many types of Craft beer, at 3 different Breweries. Nice to be driven to the different Breweries and to be dropped off at hotel.
Had the opportunity to go on a brewery tour last night with a group of friends. I cannot say enough good about the company. They were punctual, friendly and the tour guide Sabrina was extremely knowledgeable. We visited three breweries all of which served us fantastic beer. Sabrina gave a great behind the scenes tour of Bombers Brewery, she even had some hops and barley for people to look at. She answered all of our questions about beer and there was no stumping her. The service was impeccable, we even forgot one of our coats and Sabrina offered to bring it to us even though she was off shift, a 45 minute detour for her. We were having too much fun to take many pictures, but I would encourage anyone to take a tour from this company anywhere in western Canada. This would be a great tour to take from a cruise ship as well! It picks you up right by where you can get off!
This was a great tour. Our guide Sabrina was very knowledgeable about the craft scene in Vancouver, as well as about brewing process itself. As for the breweries and beers themselves, we really enjoyed the wide variety this tour offered. I would definitely recommend this for a fun evening with friends!
We spent a few days in Vancouver and took in the Craft Beer tour. Great evening. Our guide/driver, Jason was great and provided lots of good information. Really enjoyed the breweries and tried and loved some beers that we never would have chosen. Will definitely do this again!
I treated my family to the Craft Brewery Tour to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday, and we had an amazing time. Our tour guide, Scott, was super attentive (getting to learn our tastes and favourite flavours for beer to create customized flights at each brewery), funny (he was great at keeping the conversation going, and we were laughing lots), and very easy going (being on the tour wasn't like being on a tour at all, but more like hanging out with a good friend). You could tell that Scott (and Canadian Craft, by extension) had solid relationships with each brewery we went to as each place was very hospitable and went out of their way to host us. Not only was he an expert on the city and beer, but Scott definitely went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him - we'll be back to experience a winery tour with him in the summer!
