We were expecting more than being handed a couple sheets of paper with puzzles and a bag of props. At the very least, given the two photos showing an actor in costume, alongside photos of customers playing the game, we were expecting to interact in some capacity with an actor wearing a suit, sunglasses, and a briefcase. At least make us do a pretend "dead drop" with someone sitting on a park bench reading a newspaper, or "chase" an actor carrying the macguffin. A guy explaining the rules of the game at the beginning saying "headquarters headquarters secret agents" doesn't count. You could stop in a Dollarama, pick up a kid's puzzle book, some random toys, and make a similar experience. This is lazy

Itinerary
This unique sightseeing experience takes place in downtown Vancouver's shopping and entertainment district in the city centre. You will see shops, restaurants, bars and other attractions along the way.
Take a glass elevator up 168 meters (553 feet) to enjoy a 360° view that includes Stanley Park, historic Gastown, the Northshore mountains and the vibrant downtown core. Vancouver Lookout has been an iconic element of the city’s skyline since 1977. This attraction is close to the start and end of all of our outdoor games. Check their listings for times/admission and plan to visit before or after your game.
Sinclair Centre is an upscale shopping mall in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia that was built in 1913.
When this beautiful art deco building was completed in 1930, it was the city's tallest skyscraper.
Downtown Vancouver's entertainment district.
An underground shopping mall below the heart of the city.
Built in 1913 (with slightly newer additions in coming years), this location is a flagship store of the Hudson's Bay department store chain. The Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) is one of the oldest surviving companies in the English-speaking world (chartered May 2 1670). The Hudson Bay Company was a fur trading business for most of its history but if you have time to pop in during your spy mission you'll see that it now a rather fancy department store!
The Vancouver Art Gallery is a 15,300-square-metre-building adjacent in downtown Vancouver (the largest art museum in Western Canada). The plazas on the north and south sides of the building are places where locals gather for political demonstrations, community events, free movies nights and more. The north plaza was renamed šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square in 2018 as part of acknowledging the colonial legacy of naming in Vancouver.
Established in 2008 by the Bill Reid Foundation, this gallery stands as a tribute to the legendary Haida master artist, Bill Reid (1920 - 1998) and the art and living traditions of the Northwest Coast.

Such a fun experience. Everything was laid out really well and easy to understand. Definitely going back again. Friends, families and partners should do this!
Very friendly game runner who really committed to the bit! Well thought out challenges that also show off interesting landmarks in downtown Vancouver. Puzzles were definitely intermediate - fun and just challenging enough without being frustrating! Would recommend for couples, friends, or larger groups.
The game/tour was a great team building activity and would also be great for larger groups to compete with each other. The guidebook, challenges and spy kit were well designed and cleverly thought out. All of the challenges were extremely clever and fun to solve. We also got to know the city and its buildings better even discovering a couple hidden downtown city gems we had never seen/been to. Huge thanks to Tanya and her team for an amazing experience.
Really neat escape room-type puzzle solving activity. Only thing I regret is that my friends and I are so competitive we didn't really take in the city like we should have! Our spy master was great and we had a ton of fun! It was a great icebreaker activity for a group that didn't all know each other before this trip.
Two thumbs up! Great way to scamper about downtown finding clues and solving puzzles on a drizzly Vancouver day!
Great fun, clever puzzles perhaps a little simple, but a really enjoyable 90 mins. Great to see a lovely part of the city.
We ended up canceling this event after we walked through town to get to it. It was so disturbing to see the active drug use block after block around the place to start. It greatly disturbed my child and we had to go back to our hotel. Disappointed we couldn’t do it, but even more disappointed in the location that’s picked to start.
The “Secret Mission” was VERY challenging (there were several times you had to think through several of the clues so that we could figure out how they all linked together), and the mission also helped us to see many neat things and buildings around downtown Vancouver. We temporarily saved Vancouver, but…because we ran out of time and we did not figure out exactly who Blackout was, they could come back at any time and attack again. Good agents will be needed to defeat them.
Lots of fun on the mission. My team solved the mystery in less than the two hours given and had a lot of fun figuring out the clues.
Great outdoor fun, the right amount of walking and fun puzzles. The experience showed us parts of downtown we had not visited previously.
A great game with some good puzzles and storyline. What would make it 5*s is more interaction / input with other parties in the experience but it was a really good thing to do with teenage kids
Had no idea what to expect, it’s like an Escape room, but outside and in a real city. We did it at night, and for one of the ‘missions’ what you need to solve the clues are high up on a building and very difficult to see at night. Be aware that doing it at night will add an additional level of difficulty. It was really fun, more cities should offer this type of activity.
We LOVED this! Such a fun activity to do with the kids. We got to learn about parts of the city that we've walked past for years without noticing.
SUCH a fun experience to add to our weekend in Vancouver. We really enjoyed solving the riddles and racing around the city. Host was professional and really got us in mystery-solving mode. I would highly recommend you add this to your city experience! I will definitely do another on my next visit to Vancouver!
I had a wonderful time with office colleagues in solving the spy mystery and saving agents. Virtual session was well organized and challenging. Would highly recommend for a fun time with family or colleagues.
It is definitely a challenging and fun outdoor activity with the family. The missions and puzzles were very challenging but not difficult. It was a good exercise going around Vancouver. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Great experience! Highly recommended! Fun family time!! Friendly staff, creative material and a really nice way to get to know Downtown Vancouver!
We had SUCH a fun time doing this with some friends (we did the virtual game). Would highly recommend for a creative and fun night in!
The puzzles were just the right mix of challenging and fun. Great way to spend a couple of hours walking around downtown Vancouver. Highly recommend it!
Our family enjoys escape rooms and I was looking forward to something slightly different with Vancouver Mysteries. I was intrigued by the idea of solving a mystery in downtown on the streets of Vancouver. The clues weren't as hard as the most challenging escape rooms but they kept us engaged for the entire time. And they were clues that we could work on as a team rather than one individual. It was fun to explore downtown Vancouver in a different way, especially having lived here for many years. Even knowing our way around, the clues are designed so that you can't take any shortcuts without risking finding a solution. I'd definitely try one of the others. Oh, and definitely dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. There's a lot of walking! It was raining off and on during our game but that didn't hamper the fun at all.
The challenges were just hard enough to keep us engaged but not frustrating. We had great weather, so made it even better. Took the full two hours, but we did have a short break in the middle. Saw a few garden areas that we would not have seen if not for the game.
Witzig, spannend und interessante Hintergrund Geschichte. Unbedingt machen! Kurzweilige eine mini Stadtführung inklusive. Englisch Kenntnisse unbedingt erforderlich!
