Our family of 4 had a blast doing this as part of our quick day trip into Vancouver. We enjoyed all the clues and being able to walk around Gastown and learn some history about it but also include a favorite activity for our family! We had lots of fun and laughs and would definitely recommend to anyone and do one of these again!

My company had a conference in Vancouver and we wanted to see a bit of the city. The scavenger hunt was a great way to do that. It was a lot of fun. We had two teams of 6, and it was fun competing against each other. The leader was so engaging and made it extra fun. I recommend this for anyone looking for a team building event.
Great Boxing Day experience for our family of four (two parents with two teenage kids. Harder in the dark, we think… but still managed to solve the case!
We played tourist in our own town and this was a great way to do it. The guide was great and we learned lots of fun facts. I wish they would come up with more!
This was so much fun for our family of teens. We rushed around Gastown looking for clues. It was a nice way to break up the “regular” site seeing. We solved the murder!
We believe this mystery murder game has the potential to be an excellent activity to acquaint players with the interesting history and sights of the city of Vancouver; however, we found the game clues to be confusing and quite time consuming. We believe the game requires much more than 2 hours to complete for participants to realize the benefit the game seeks to provide for city visitors. It is obvious a lot of time and creative thought were put into developing this game concept; we would encourage the game developers to simplify and refine the game and continue to make it available as a fun, exciting way to explore the city of Vancouver. We will play this game again, if our future journeys bring us back to Vancouver.
Great way to learn a bit about Gastown and explore a fun area. We got a nearly perfect score and finished with about 10 minutes left because we forgot to turn the page at one of the clues. Whoopsie. Detective Bennett was great.
This was a lot of fun. Really enjoyed the interactive way of exploring this part of Vancouver. Recommend for anyone who likes exploring and sleuthing.
Good cold start with our Detective contact, and good instructions both written and spoken ☺️ if you like escape rooms and walking tours, this is a good combination. We did it when it was a bit colder outside, so maybe bring some light gloves if your hands are sensitive to the cold. A bit more time would have been handy, if only to take more photos of the sights.
We had an awesome time with 7 siblings and our spouses! Thanks so much! We would highly recommend this mystery activity!
This was a lot of fun. Definitely would not do on the first day or two of the trip, which we didn’t in order to get your bearing a little. Wonderful walking tour and escape room with a twist
The chase for the interesting items that we needed to gather helped us learn more about Vancouver. Our group was 3 seniors lost in a new city. This is an adventure that everyone of all ages needs to take.
This was a great way to see many sights and learn about the district in a fun way. Some people in our group were more interested in the game, some were taking pictures, some were reading about the sights. The clues were really fun and just challenging enough to make us work a little. Very much like an outdoor escape room. The length seemed just right, as well, and the people were very fun. I would highly recommend for a small group.
It was a fun adventure with the right amount of challenge and walking (even with kids). My only suggestion is that maybe the time could be extended longer so that the neighborhood could be enjoyed more during the process (as we were visitors/tourists), rather than having to rush through areas to solve the case in time. Still, it was a lot of fun!
A fun time and gave you a chance to learn about the city. would do another one of these innthe future.Well organized and enjoyable
Great way to see Gastown. Good for small groups visiting Vancouver for the first time or people wanting to get outside and play tourist in their own city
We did this as a team event and we loved it. The tasks that should be done are fun and engaging and the investigator in charge was friendly and great. Would highly recommend this
This was a fun team building event! We lucked out and had cool but clear weather. This made wondering around Gastown even more enjoyable. The Murder Mystery Adventure was well organized and very enjoyable! Would recommend for team building or even a group of friends wanting to do something different. Great fun for locals or tourists.
A great couple hours spent. Good fun and something a bit different to do at a fair price. Would highly recommend. I have select family with teens but it was actually a family of 4 adults
Great family activity. Kids loved it a lot and we learned a lot about the city. It was well planned.
Very friendly customer service. I really appreciated the proactive gesture from Vancouver Murder Mystery Adventure to resolve the issue even before my asking for any help. Thank you. We will join the murder mystery game next time when the weather is nicer.
It was such a fun experience and harder than I expected but still solvable too. Suitable for everyone. And it was great to be walking about outside for the adventure too!
It was a super fun way to walk around and see Vancouver. If you like walking and solving puzzle I would recommend.
Our office booked the Murder Mystery Adventure for a team building event and it wound up being way more fun than any of us had anticipated! The clues are just hard enough and they throw in some Gastown history. We learned a lot about Gastown and saw things none of us had ever noticed before thanks to the game. Our team and another team managed to finish the game in about 90 minutes. We would definitely do another adventure with Vancouver Mysteries.
Very challenging and a great way see a new city. We were never in Vancouver before and got to see spots we would have not seen before. Loved the clues. I would highly recommend. We were 2 people but can be done with a small group if you have a group. We took and early afternoon spot then treated ourselves to happy hour in Gastown when it was finished.
Very interesting, would be interested in doing more mysteries like this...Enjoyed doing this as a family outing and visiting Gastown.
It was challenging and fun. We didn't get it done in 2 hours but did get all the clues. Great way to see Gastown. Would recommend this fun adventure!
We had great fun exploring the locality while solving the clues on this murder mystery experience. Found places we wouldn’t have gone to without participating.
We decided to do this for my friends birthday who loves murder podcasts. We all had a blast walking around and solving the mystery.
We anticipated having a fun time but this game exceeded our expectations. We were me by the wonderful Detective Wax who gave us encouragement, instructions and sent us off to find the clues and puzzles scattered around Gastown. The clues were creative, the story line entertaining and we learned a bit of Vancouver history along the way. We're looking forward to exploring Vancouver Mysteries' other games the next time we go. Did I mention that Detective Wax was great?
It was a great time, the mystery was not too easy or too hard or to hard. We could have used more than 2 hours to complete. The area we walked around was safe and not difficult to traverse.
A great outdoor game! Loved exploring Gastown in this new light! We won so it was another boost to whole experience, hahaha!
This was sooo much fun! We had to work as a team to find places and solve riddles. Some were pretty hard. It got intense with the time limit. We loved it!! More interesting than an escape room!
This was a super fun way to explore this downtown Vancouver neighborhood. Usually exploring a city, I might just wander around aimlessly looking in shops, but this was way more fulfilling and fun! I learned a bit about the history of the neighborhood without it feeling like a history tour, but more importantly I was playing a fun game with my friend. Highly recommended activity!
Really good fun. Something you should do with your partner, test your understanding. Getting to know downtown was super cool too.
We had a great time racing around Gastown trying to solve this mystery before the other teams beat us! (Okay, one did). The clues were hard but not too hard, and even our eight-year old was able to solve a few. She’s loved mysteries ever since! We are looking forward to playing a new game this summer!
I had a fabulous time with this mystery adventure! A friend and I solved the murder in about 2 hours- one tip- sit down and read through the police report, your questionnaire sheet and all the clues. It will save you time. However, you will have to walk quickly. Use all the clues.
With all the positive reviews and comments my family with two kids aged 12 and 16 expected this to be a fun adventure as we love escape rooms. The puzzles were all straight forward and you got the answer with out really thinking. An example of this is that one of the "puzzles" was to count the number of an object or measure its length. As well the clues and puzzles didn't have anything to do with the storyline which made it seem very artificial and pointless.Ww would not recommend as it is a waste of time and it not challenging.
We loved this self-guided mystery tour of Gastown! We had such a blast solving clues and walking around town learning about Gastown! This is a must for out of town guests and locals!
