Brenda was great . We got to try lots of delicious treats! And visit shops I didn’t know existed. I would do it again anytime!

Brenda was fantastic and so informed about the whole food scene in Victoria. She gave us lots of ideas about where to eat and what to order! The chocolate tour was fantastic and took us all over the city.
Fun 2 hours with Brenda she is full of fun facts Tour was great do the tour!
Great tour! Erik, our guide, took us to a fascinating variety of chocolate shops and bakeries while delivering lots of fun Victoria info. This tour would be an excellent thing to do with out of town guests!
I called to book the trip when my wife and I were going to be in town, and I was informed they don't do this tour during the summer. I said "bummer!" and the owner immediately said "let me see what I can do" and I was booked after she contacted the person doing the tour to see if he would do it. It worked out so well, 2 other couples were able to book and 6 was the perfect number. Our tour guide was fun, funny, and very knowledgeable. The tastings were phenomenal and portions were extra! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Erik was a fantastic tour guide who showed us around the best spots! He added so much local information about cool landmarks and tidbits about the businesses. The drinking chocolate and the molé tacos were a highlight!
We had such a great time with Brenda today! I went with a friend and we both found Brenda to be fun and so knowledgeable. We are locals but still learned so much! All of the places we hit were fantastic. I was gifted this by a friend-what a thoughtful and wonderful gift for visitors or locals! I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was so fun! It was intimate which allowed to hear everything and not feel rushed or like you were standing around. Our tour guide answered ALL our questions and was very knowledgeable about each stop and Victoria in general. Tour guide picked out a few of our tasting items while we got to pick at some stops as well. 7 stops in total and all we're fantastic! Would reccommend to someone visiting as something fun to do or someone local even- wonderful first date idea! So much to spark conversation and learn in the process.
Great tour . Our guide Eric was wonderful and very informative about all the stops . Highly recommended and if possible book with Eric . You won’t be disappointed
Tour guide Eric was friendly and knowledgeable. We got to sample some very yummy treats and tacos! It’s a great way to learn of some great places for food and treats in Victoria. Plus we learned some fun facts and history. We will definitely sign up for another walking tour next time we visit.
Great walking tour of Victoria with delectable chocolate treats, what more could you ask for? Also learned a few things about my favourite sweet.
100% worth the money to do this tour! Not only was the food amazing, but our guide (Ben) was nothing short of fabulous, taking the time to get to know each person on the tour and making certain each guest was taken care with met needs. This easy walking tour gives your a glimpse of Victoria while taking a long look at chocolate. David at The Chocolate Project was interesting and passionate about his love for chocolate. The drinking chocolate and truffle at Chocolat & Co. were incredible. The mole taco at La Taquisa was my first of the kind and I'll likely never have another one so good. The OSO donut was a chocolate caramel - delish. By the end of the tour we were having to box our macarons (Bon Macaron - you pick 2!) and were thrilled Roger's provided them pre-bagged (amazing, by the way). The Nanaimo bar at the end was my favorite! Go hungry and take a reusable shopping bag (the only way to visit Victoria).
This was a fabulous tour. Such a great variety of treats to try and lovely tour guide. Very cool starting point and learning opportunity.
Jo my guide was awesome, she was very knowledgeable and proud of her heritage and Victoria. She is a wealth of knowledge at her age I was very impressed. All the stops had excellent chocolate choices and even had to bring some home because I got full :). The special savory treat at la Taquisa was a favorite but also the drinking chocolate was a great treat on a COLD day! 1000% percent recommend this walking tour, it goes by fast but I learned a ton!
An excellent tour, fun and enjoyable and we also learned quite a bit about chocolate and chocolate tasting
Pleasant walking tour. Tried an interesting variety of food involving chocolate. Learned a bit about the history of Victory while walking
Very enjoyable experience ! Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable and all the places we went to offered us delightful samples.
Loved it! This tour is very fun and can be very filling, so definitely recommend a bag to carry all the goodies that you might not finish. The churches were also such a sight(!) 😲 To add to that, Bonnie—our tour guide—was simply amazing! She was very knowledgeable about Victoria’s history and we very much appreciated all the insights she had to offer; she was also very accommodating! When we stopped by Chocolats Favoris and were trying to eat our chocolate-dipped ice cream cones, she offered to carry our bag while we finished up. Not necessary but very very friendly and accommodating. This tour is a *must* if you’re in Victoria and love chocolates! Also, don’t opt for the milk chocolates unless you’re trying to rouse Mr. Roger’s anger from the grave! 😉😂
Tour was great. Our guide, Brenda, was very knowledgeable and personable. Selections of chocolate were fantastic and more than we could consume on the tour. But Brenda was great to let us know which stops had chocolate that needed to be consumed immediately and which had chocolate that would travel well.
Bonnie was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and we learned so much about chocolate and the churches. Highly recommend for anyone with a love for chocolate.
This is a fun and really well done tour. Chocolate and churches put dots on the map to guide you, but it includes a lot of stories and history along the way. We loved the audio guide - it kept us on track and entertained, and we could pause when we wanted to explore something or make a stop along the way. And we also loved the chocolate! Lots of amazing chocolate along the way from a really diverse selection of shops and chocolate makers.
Just a terrific experience for our small group of four, and Brenda was the ideal tour guide. So great to have the mix of Victoria & Island local history & anecdotal stories, with a chance to meet local chocolatiers & aficionados. Even as locals, we were shown hidden gems of the city that we hadn't been aware of, and stories that completed the mosaic in a unique way. Recommend this tour as the best few hours you could possibly spend. Brilliant!
This was a fun and informative day for us. We have lived in Victoria all our lives and yet we learned all kind of interesting tidbits about its history. The guide was very knowledgeable. We discovered many great little shops that we will go back to in the future. highly recommend the tour.
Bonnie knows the food scene in the beautiful city of Victoria inside & out. Well-planned walking tour itinerary, very informative, interesting, fun, lots of sweet tasting treats from macaroons to fondue, and romanticizes chocolate as a whole from the chocolatier to the chocolate maker. Highly advisable to have a good breakfast before as there are numerous sweet tastings in the scope of the tour. Try something out of the ordinary as you sample the goodies like a Blue Cheese Macaroon or a Marshmallow dipped in Salted Caramel Fondue. You will discover good places to dine that you always passed by or neglected like the La Taquisa Mexican Restaurant where you’ll get the chance to try their delicious veggie mole with chocolate of course or the yummy baked good at the Crust Bakery. Visit them afterwards and support the entrepreneurial spirit of the city. After the tour, you will have an inkling of where your favorite type of chocolate may it be dark, milk, or white came from and the process of how it was made.
Not only do you get to sample such amazing chocolate delights and view historic churches but you will learn some fascinating Victoria history along the way!! Highly recommend! Bonnie is a wonderful tour guide!!
Such a great tour. Bonnie is a fantastic guide. We've been on a few tours and the Chocolate and Churches tour is a standout. So many interesting stories, and great tasting chocolates!
Bonnie was a great guide. We learned a lot of Victoria history while indulging in some fabulous and varied chocalte experiences, from soft ice cream to tacos with mole sauce to traditional chocolates and drinking chocolate. Very decent sized samples at all locations.
The Chocolate and Churches tour was awesome. Two things I liked the best were that besides sweet treats with chocolate we also got to taste a savory one, and the fact that the tastes at each stop were rather generous. I would definitely recommend not eating lunch before the 1:00 tour. There was plenty to eat during the two hours. I also appreciated that at one of the stops we were allowed to choose two chocolates from the display case in addition to the standard ones they provide for each tour guest to sample. that was kind of a fun added touch. We are vegetarian and Bonnie was easily able to accommodate us. In fact she introduced us to the veggie molé at La Taquisa. It was so incredible we went back for two days in a row for lunch just to eat it again!
What a fun way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon! We were greeted by our 2 tour guides and off we went to some of the best chocolatiers in downtown Victoria, all of whom were expecting us and had our treats ready. The churches were lovely as well. Our guides were interesting and easy to get to know. We'll definitely take another of their tours!
