From the outset, it is a great experience. Our guide was not only knowledgeable, but free flowing. It wasn't exactly reading a script but narration that went beyond the pale. Have been on other rides such as this, but the guides were well intentioned but too by the script. Guidance and the welcoming attitude by both ladies (01040 trip, October 24th, 2026). Wife and I are from a sunny hot place, so the help in Vancouver cold rainy was great! We loved the demeanor of both horses. The overall experience was great. We want to return on a long stretch of sunny days. Could you guys text God and CC me and my wife the answer He gives? Then we will return.

Very interesting and informed tour of a section of the park. Relaxed short tour with a very well educated and friendly tour giude. Horses were beautiful.
My granddaughter loved Lonnie and Rex our two chauffeurs for the hour and our driver,(I’m sorry I can’t remember her name-she was from Lithuania) but she was lovely and very informative.
A fun ride through the park! Horses were really cute and guide was good too!
If thay come to Vancouver thay need to go and support this little tour/business.. The horses 🐎 are gentle Lady information was wicked 😁🫵🏼🤙🫶🏽🙌
A leisurely way to see Stanley Park which is too big to see on foot. Guide very informative Tour went for about an hour
This was a beautiful experience. Our driver Caroline was very knowledgeable and her expertise with the horses was beautiful.
Wnderful. Even with the rain and chilly temps. Our hostess was very entertaining and knowledgeable. She made the experience!
The horse carriage ride was nice but seemed expensive for what we got.The ride was just about an hour with nice narration but we didn’t follow the sea wall for very long. Instead, we cut through the park several times to see the trees. It was a pleasant ride.
Great tour of Stanley Park easy to get to from Canada Place with bus only few minutes walk and drop off and pick up at park entrance. Horses are great kids loved them, it is a nice easy pace to look at everything and tour guide very informative
Very informative and nice ride through lovely Stanley Park on a beautiful day. Caroline, Banjo and Comet were great! In your description of the tour, it would have been helpful to know how far from the Hop on bus stop and the closest one, stop 5
At least half of the guide’s commentary was about the horses rather than information about the park.
Excellent relaxing trip around Stanley Park with very informative tour guide who told us all sorts of interesting facts
So glad we booked this, amazing experience, the guide was amazing, she gave us so many facts and was so friendly and you can tell she definitely enjoyes her work. Stunning and very clever horses. The tour around the park lasts about an hour and was the perfect way round to see and learn all about it . We even spotted the black squirrels as a bonus
A very informative and scenic ride. Our Guide was Emily and she was wonderful! Just really enjoyed learning about the history of the park and the relaxing ride. Highly recommend!
Relaxing, entertaining Steph our guide was wonderful. She was very informative about the park and its history
A very relaxing way to take in the sights of the park. Holly was a very knowledgeable & fun tour guide
Great way to see the highlights of the park. Our guide, Connor, was very knowledgeable and easy to listen to.
Fantastic way to see the sights of Stanley Park and learn a bit about it's history. Our tour guide/driver was really funny and engaging. Also felt very assured after that the welfare of the horses matters most to the company, which was an added bonus.
Excellent narration. Horses beautiful and handled well by our guide. Lovely sunny day. Saw areas we would not have reached on foot
We had a great time riding around the park.
We thoroughly enjoyed our horse drawn carriage trip around a section of Stanley Park. Molly the driver and guide for the trip was very friendly and enthusiastic with a great knowledge of the Park and the horses. Can highly recommend

A relaxing and informative way to enjoy Stanley Park. Horses are well cared for. Emily was a wonderful guide.
Fun experience thru Stanley Park. Stanley Park is huge!! Best way to get acquainted with the park. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Horses are WONDERFUL!!
We joined the Stanley Park Horse‑Drawn Tours for a family outing and had a genuinely pleasant experience. It’s a slow‑paced, scenic way to explore one of Vancouver’s most beautiful areas, and the horses are clearly well cared for, healthy, and treated with respect — something that really stood out and added to the enjoyment. --- Experience & Atmosphere Pace: The tour moves at a comfortable, steady rhythm. It’s not rushed, and you get plenty of time to take in the views, listen to the guide, and enjoy the surroundings. Guides: Friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed. They share interesting facts about Stanley Park’s history, wildlife, and landmarks without overwhelming you. Horses: Beautifully groomed, calm, and clearly loved by the staff. Their temperament makes the ride feel safe and peaceful. --- Scenery & Highlights You pass iconic spots like the Rose Garden, Totem Poles, and the coastal forest areas. The open carriage gives you great visibility, and the gentle clip‑clop of the horses adds a nostalgic charm you don’t get from bus or bike tours. --- Value & Cost The main drawback is the price. It’s definitely on the expensive side for the length of the tour, especially compared to other ways of exploring the park. You’re paying for the unique experience rather than the duration or depth of the tour. If you enjoy slower, more atmospheric sightseeing — or if you’re travelling with kids, older family members, or anyone who prefers a relaxed pace — it feels worth it. If you’re looking for maximum value or a longer, more detailed tour, you may find it a bit steep. --- Final Thoughts Overall, Stanley Park Horse‑Drawn Tours offers a charming, gentle, and enjoyable way to see the park. The horses are clearly well looked after, the pace is lovely, and the guides make the ride engaging. It’s a special experience — just be prepared for the higher cost.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and offered interesting historical elements about stanley park.
Great experience. Driver was a great guide and shared a good historical perspective.
Definitely put it on your to do list. We were quite cozy under provided blankets on a rainy drizzle of a morning.
Laura was the driver and guide and hosted an incredible tour. Very informative and fun.
Gives you a nice easy way to see some of the park. Highly recommend this for young and old and in between!
We loved this tour! The guide was excellent -- relatable, funny, knowledgeable, etc. An excellent way to see Stanley Park. (And my wife loved the Percherons!)
We had a fantastic experience on the horse-drawn carriage tour of Stanley Park. It was a relaxing and unique way to see one of Vancouver’s most beautiful attractions. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting stories about the park’s history, landmarks, and wildlife, making the tour both enjoyable and informative. The horses were beautiful, well cared for, and clearly treated with great respect, which was wonderful to see. The pace was perfect, allowing us to take in the stunning scenery and snap plenty of photos without feeling rushed. If you’re visiting Vancouver, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a peaceful break from the busy city and a memorable way to experience the beauty and history of Stanley Park.
We pre-bought tickets for half of our group on Trip Advisor when we thought the rest would go bike riding. However, the bike riders decided to go with us, so we purchased several more tickets on site as well. It was very enjoyable morning and our tour guide gave lots of info about the park, & the horses. I recommend going early to beat the crowds. The carriage does make a stop at the totem poles for just a few minutes so you can hop out and take a photo.
Great experience... lovely way to get a feel for the park and the history. Our driver was extremely friendly and helpful. My husband is visually impaired and she went out of her way to be as descriptive as possible. Enjoyed everything about it.
Beautiful experience, knowledgeable driver, could have been longer..................................
My young kids and senior mom and I all enjoyed this activity! Saw some wonderful highlights of Stanley park and our guide was very informative!
A lovely experience learning about the park. Our guide Emily was well versed in local knowledge and her love of the horses was very sweet. Well worth the trip
What a pleasant way to take in a view of Vancouver’s Stanley Park! I knew nothing about this area, but a sunny day gave us plenty of cause to take in a carriage ride. Simply put, it was one of the nicest hours we had in town. We learned a lot and enjoyed the scenery immensely.
Our tour lead, Laura from Scotland was incredible. Best part of our trip. She truly takes care of the horses and the sightseers. We came back and left her a $40 tip at the booth for the worker to give to her for us. From Lilly and her buckskin horse Rey in NC in the first tour on Sunday 6/14 @ 10:15
This was a fun, very informative carriage ride through the park. The guide was not only extremely knowledgeable, but she was also funny and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our carriage ride.
It was a beautiful day, very relaxing & informative horse drawn tour. The horses were so cute, we toured around the Stanley park, we saw the girl in a wet suit statue, Victoria the good monument, Robert Burns memorial, lions Gate statue and rose garden, vancouver skyline. Everythjng was breathtaking. The tour guide paused at the waterfront for a few minutes for us to take pictures, totally recommend!
It was amazing! Caroline did a great job showing us the park! Would recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver!
We had a day to spend in Vancouver, so we decided to go on the horse-drawn wagon ride around Stanley Park. We walked from our b&b in central Vancouver, aiming for the 10:30 scheduled ride, only to arrive and find it was postponed 45 min. because they had to switch out one of the horses. After finally setting off, we were pleased to sit up front next to driver and guide Emily. She was friendly and knowledgable and kept up a running description of the many interesting sites that we passed. We had a brief stop to get down and see the totem poles, then another stop to photograph the "Girl in a Wetsuit" statue. Overall, the ride was enjoyable and filled our late morning in a pleasant manner. (We also met business owner Jerry when he brought the new horse to switch out. He is a real hoot! If you chance to meet him, you're in for a treat.)
The horse carriage ride was wonderful! It gave us a nice overview of the park. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the park and of the horses. We have not been to Vancouver or Stanley park before, so it was good to see all of the highlights. We enjoyed our time with this tour and is well worth it to experience at least once!
A great way to see Stanley Park! Third visit to the park, first time taking carriage tour. We should have done this the Furst Time!!!
Tour guide (sorry I don’t remember her name) was great very informative on the park and on the horses!! Highly recommended!
