We visited Squamish Canyon on 2 August and thought it was a great find! It’s a lovely spot to explore and well worth adding to your itinerary if you’re visiting the Squamish area. It’s a popular attraction, especially during the peak summer season, so be prepared for crowds. Parking can be a little tricky when it’s busy, so I’d recommend arriving early if possible. Overall, we really enjoyed discovering this spot and would recommend a visit if you’re in the area. A lovely addition to a trip exploring the beautiful scenery around Squamish!

Lovely couple of hours. Off the main road about 5k but definitely worth a visit. Beautiful waterfalls and there has been a lot of work done in making this a lovely, accessible trip, being mindful of the environment. Very enjoyable
Magical and Beautiful scenery. Amazing and exclusive paths they were very easy to walk. My husband literally had his knees worked on 48 hours prior to our outing and the gradual grading of the pathway made it extremely doable.
Beautiful scenery, nice boardwalk, nice information and games on the way. Very nice playground for kids and delicious muffin and coffee and icecream🥰
Amazing all the way and so beautifull. We visited after 4 pm and walked almost alone. Really nice rainforest and canyon waterfall walk. A lot of stairs and a grind roadway up to it but all worthy. A true gem!!!
Enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. Very serene and relaxing, however not for someone who wants a serious workout.
An absolutely stunning walk through the canyon. The wooden trail was immaculate and easily accessible. (This was one of our concerns) Fantastic views and information as you walked. Georgia in the ticket office was amazing and very knowledgable telling us exactly how many steps there were on the boardwalk!! Visiting from the UK and would highly recommend a visit.
Squamish Canyon is an amazing experience! It was an amazing walk through the canyon and the scenery and environment is breathtaking. Lots of ups and downs but a semi-easy walk at your own pace. The cafe is amazing amenity to relax and have a snack. Would do it again in a heart beat!! We actually missed our day as we arrived too late and they honored our ticket when we returned the next day. So amazing as they really did not need to do that!
Went there on Mother’s Day . Had a wonderful walk around . The views were breathtaking. Liked that there was play area for the kids and a coffee shop inside the canyon walkway.
Brilliant. A fantastic walkway positioned to blend in with the environment and wonderful river views. Off the beaten track but a must-do. The staff are passionate and knowledgeable. Parking, food and toilets available.
We had an incredible experience at Squamish Canyon! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well done. We were pleasantly surprised to find a cafe halfway through the beautiful walk. Although it was a rainy day, they had a large covered area with heaters for us to relax and enjoy our coffee and snacks! All the staff were very friendly and helpful’ Safety is clearly a top priority here. It’s obvious that a lot of thought has gone into designing the experience with both fun and safety in mind. We were 4 ladies in our sixties and we felt very comfortable walking through. We loved every minute of it!
Friendly, helpful staff. The canyon was beautiful. All the lush green and then the roaring falls. It was wonderful. Totally zen. Lots of stairs but they were half stairs so pretty manageable for me. However, it’s a shame this attraction isn’t accessible. No wheelchairs, walking aids, strollers, etc. Too many stairs. And also, the road getting to the canyon is gravel. I got a flat tire. Totally killed my zen.
The walkway is beautifully constructed and made the walking easy. Yes there are steps but low rise and because of this, we could get to see the falls, which are spectacular. I would love to see the falls in the spring when they are at their height. What a beautiful place for forest bathing. And a beautiful setting in the forest for the cafe. If you have visitors, this is definitely a place to show them.
Way, way, way over priced for a 1.5 km boardwalk loop. Take the free trail to the bottom of the Mamquam Falls and get a better workout. Spend the money you save on a meal in one of many good restaurants in Squamish.
This was an absolutely stunning experience. The construction of the walkways and viewing platforms is a marvel in itself - the quality of workmanship is outstanding. There is a miss in that they did not make this wheelchair accessible - there are a lot of stairs but no ramps. The stairs are well constructed and built to a step that would be akin to mild effort to use. We went on a sunny day. Sometimes the canyon waters are blue or green or beige or milky white. We got milky white which made for one of the most beautiful scenes I have seen on this globe. The effect walking through the temperate rainforest is as if you are in the most beautiful cathedral in the world. Take time to enjoy the forest lounge. Getting to the site you have to take a gravel road and signage is not great but follow the GPS and you will get there with ease. It is worth the effort and well worth the cost of admission - what a vision the creator of this site had and what a treat it was to be there!
We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived but were amazed by the whole experience. It was a bit drizzly on the day which was perfect as we had the place practically to ourselves. It was stunning and incredibly well laid out with conservation at the forefront. The waterfalls were incredible with fantastic view spots. We also saw a bear with her two cubs from the safety of the raised walkway. It was the highlight of our trip to Canada.
The walk itself was beautiful, and the boardwalk is incredibly well crafted—truly stunning. We especially loved the scent of the cedar, with its warm, woodsy aroma that made the whole experience feel immersive and peaceful. There are a lot of stairs, though thankfully they’re low rise, so manageable for most people. It’s also quite short. Like others have mentioned, the admission felt pretty steep—especially given you can view the same falls for free via the trail to the left. We’re glad we did it once, but wouldn’t go back.
Beautifully and expertly made. Great hike along a rapids and through the rainforest.
