I visited the Sea to Sky Gondola as part of a day tour from Vancouver to Whistler. The ticket was included in the price of the tour, which was a plus. However, when we arrived, I was taken aback by the steep price for an adult ticket if you were doing this independently. Honestly, I didn’t feel it was worth it, especially given the weather conditions we faced. I think it’s better to experience it as part of a tour. I did notice that buying the ticket online in advance could save you some money. Unfortunately, we encountered terrible weather during our visit. While there were some views, they were mostly obscured. The Gondola ride itself lasted about ten to fifteen minutes each way. Due to high winds, our Gondola shook quite a bit, especially on the descent, which felt a bit unsettling. The ticket included a round-trip ride on the Sea to Sky Gondola, unlimited access to hiking trails, the suspension bridge, and Summit Lodge. We had around two hours there, but the rain and wind were relentless, and it was freezing. Most of us took a quick stroll, but visibility at the top was limited, so we ended up sitting in the Summit Lodge. It was warm and cozy inside, where you could buy food, drinks, and souvenirs. While it was nice to be indoors, I would have preferred to be outside enjoying the views. The best sights we saw were actually from the Gondola itself. If you’re considering a trip up there, I really wouldn’t recommend it if the weather is poor. If the day is clear, I’m sure the experience would be much better, but I’m still left questioning whether the price justifies it.

We enjoyed the Gondola and the beautiful scenery. Will definitely do it again with the entire family.
We visited the Sea to Sky Gondola in August and absolutely loved it! The views on the way up were spectacular, and there was so much to explore once we reached the summit. There are plenty of walking trails and scenic viewpoints, making it easy to spend a few hours enjoying the beautiful surroundings. It was very busy when we visited in the afternoon, but it was definitely worth it. The parking was extremely well organised, with staff directing cars to available spots, which made the whole experience much easier. Overall, this was a highlight of our time in the Squamish area. I would highly recommend the Sea to Sky Gondola, especially if you enjoy spectacular mountain scenery, walking trails and being outdoors. Allow yourself plenty of time to explore the summit!
I really enjoyed my first visit in August 2026. The views are amazing and I really enjoyed walking along the suspension bridge. There are facilities at the top, including refreshments, toilets and a gift shop, as well as a gift shop at the bottom. I did find the gift shop expensive however, and for people with Coeliac Disease there was nothing gluten-free. This is a great half way point between Vancouver and Whistler.
Parking kind a bit expensive. not many trail to walk. Ice cream sale too expensive Should get free drink ststion for the traveler
What an amazing adventure Got to sit at the top of the mountain have a drink and just enjoy the views with my hubby
It was so much fun! The only thing I wish i would have known ahead of time was that they only take card. That’s for parking, food, souvenirs, etc. I was worried about the the weather because it was raining the day before and that morning but once we got there the weather was perfect.
Excellent! Very steep climb fabulous views - suspension bridge worth going over for / much quieter and great views!
Very nice experience! Lovely gondola ride and wish we’d had more time to spend exploring trails and viewpoints at the top. Also recommend getting a bite to eat up there, lots of food options and the view can’t be beat. Prepare for a little line to get on the gondola and know you’ll share it with others. Also check out the suspension bridge!
It’s a beautiful view. Great for couples as well as families. The hot cocoa was delightful! It was a bit rainy so we didn’t explore as much as we would have liked, but the ride to the top was beautiful. I would also like to mention that the customer service operators at both Viator and Sea to Sky are very accommodating, polite and helpful.
It was great. It was not too crowded. Very fun experience with great scenic views. This deal saves you money
Excellent gondolas , lovely and comfortable. Felt very safe. Some good views but sadly the weather was poor. Nice cafe and shop. Good tour too, very good trip with convenient air-port drop off afterwards.
The views are exceptional. Gondala ride is spectacular. We were 6 adults , 2 seniors & one child. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. My niece from Wales was proposed to on the bridge and she said yes and the groom to be never dropped the ring!! Was a lovely day.
The gondola experience is well worth the money. It was a nice ride to the top with amazing views. We did a couple of the easier hikes as well as the suspension bridge. People of all ages were enjoying the activity. We also had a lovely drink outside with a great view. Definitely recommended.
As part of our day trip from Vancouver to Whistler we stopped along the Sea to Sky Highway to jump aboard the Sea to Sky Gondola. Just outside of Squamish this 10 minute or so ride partially up Sky Pilot Mountain gives great views of the surrounding peaks and over Howe Sound. The views are fantastic and Id highly recommend taking the 70 minute trip from Vancouver to ride the gondola, go across the suspension bridge and just taking in the views with a drink and a snack, you might even see a chipmunk running round.
Definitely book this into your itinerary if near Squamish. Only 2 minute wait to get onto the Gondola. Views from the top were amazing. Walk across the suspension bridge was so much fun. Great trails to walk and scenic view points.
Wonderful views and great trail hikes. I recommend the informational tour they offer at 1 pm! Make sure you ask where to find the trail to Shannon Falls.
We booked in advance, but it would seem that there's no need to do so. Very easy to find, and park, and then we simply walked on to the gondola without any queue. Fantastic ride to the top, with great views all the way up... and then the top itself, with the suspension bridge and viewing deck is wonderful. Some lovely photos taken, and it's a really nice place to sit and just look out while enjoying a drink or a meal. Lovely.
Great views, easy access to the gondola 🚠🚡. Plenty of parking. Lots of trails if you feel like a walk
It was fun, view was beautiful 😍 the ride to the mountain was beautiful. Went with my husband and mother in law. It was so windy, walking on the suspension bridge was a bit scary for my mother in law but she did all the way through.
The ride itself is very nice, but I would not book it ahead of time like we did. It is not refundable and if it’s raining or foggy like the day we went is not worth going. In our case it was raining & very foggy, we could barely see the gondola in front or behind us. Once you get to the top there is an area for quick food & snack and an open bar which is great for us who like to have a drink. The suspension bridge is narrow, it scared my girls a bit, ages 23 & 16 and we have done other suspension bridges. I am sure if it was a great day it must be beautiful, however paying so much to not get the real experience is not worth it. Wait until the day off to ensure you get to see the amazing views it has.
Awesome! Must do if you are in Squamish or driving through! Great views! Give yourself about 1-2 hours for this activity. Many hiking trails at the top!
We visited after 4pm on aThursday during Taste of Summit. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and variety offered. We even got a complimentary sparkling wine upon arrival. We had a nice table outside and enjoyed the live music and view. I would highly recommend this experience and coming later in the day made it more affordable.
Bought tickets thru Viator and we just went to the counter and gave our name got our tickets immediately. However, the only hiccup we had was the ticket for my 2 yrs old niece. They are free but still requires a ticket to get in the Gondola. Viayor didnt have the option to select for children under 6yrs. The lady from Sea to Sky just gave us a ticket. Great viewes.
Well run experience...exciting ride to the top...spectacular views
It was a beautiful ride and very enjoyable. We were traveling with my visually impaired husband's service dog and they were accommodating. They are pretty strict about no pets so make sure you have proper documentation of the fact it is a service animal... no, emotional support animals are not service animals. They slowed the gondola for us to get on so that was nice. We were there on a Sunday afternoon about 4pm and the crowds were non existent...we walked right on. Do yourself a favor and go during off peak hours! The food up top was great and they have a suspension bridge up top.
Price is same as you buy tickets at gate, we missed student discount
Stop at the Shannon Falls viewing area before you get to the gondola. It’s just south of the gondola. Can’t really see the falls from the top of the mountain unless you walk trails.
It’s breathtaking and full of friendly staff - loved the live music and accommodation made for our 95 year old mom . Food was great and we got to dance too!
It's a bit pricey yes, as other reviews mention; but it is most definitely worth it for the hiking and the views of Howe Sound! The gondola ride up the mountain was lovely as well, given the rolling fog that came in the morning we went to the top. It was truly magical!
Amazing! Nothing can describe the experience ..The view, the trail and the suspension bridge. Don't miss
It was a rainy day, no views during the cabin ride, nor on top! They charge extra for pallets, which doesn’t make sense. If you sell tickets with capacity in mind, then you have parking space available for that capacity. Charging extra for parking is ridiculous.
Great views and wee trails at top. Grab a burger or some coffee at the top and sit on the viewing deck to soak up the views. Check the webcam before buying your tickets to go up to make sure the top isn't in the cloud.
We went to the Sea to Sky Gondola after our Alaska cruise. It was a beautiful ride up the mountain and absolutely gorgeous views at the top of the mountain. The panorama trail is a must walk as well. Highly recommended. However, it is pricey for what it is.
Arrange transportation ahead of time. There are different trails plan to explore. There’s also playgrounds for kids
This was a fantastic experience and everything was so beautiful. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The restaurant had great food too.
Great experience! Walk back up from chair lift was steep for a 79 year old. I lived to tell about it though! We saw two bears beneath us coming back down Blackcomb Gondola.
The Sea to Sky Gondola is a good experience, offering panaromic views from start to finish. The ride up is scenic and relaxing, with the gondola cabins providing spectacular views of the ocean, forests, and surrounding mountains. At the summit, the scenery is truly stunning, making it a perfect place to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of the area. One of the highlights is the suspension bridge, which offers a unique and enjoyable walk with incredible views in every direction. We were lucky to visit on a clear, sunny day when the visibility is at its finest. Overall, the Sea to Sky Gondola is a memorable attraction that is well worth a visit for anyone exploring the region.
It was great and no hassle. There is an office up front you can exchange the vouchers. Great way to explore
This was one of the most amazing experiences I had ever been on. The view is incredible and it’s such a cool ride. I was definitely sweating but it was so worth it when you get to the top.
Great activity on a day with no clouds. The cafe at the top had very long queues! Receiving the tickets from Viator in the Gondola guest reception was first class, all ready to collect.
We hiked up the sea to summit trail and took the gondola down. Pretty ride seeing the view on the gondola. Scan the barcode sheet just before you exit the restaurant for a small discount to come down.
Great view in the ride up and down and a number of different trails to do at the top. We got caught out as didn’t realise you had to pay for parking in addition to the ticket so do bear that in mind.
We stopped here while travelling past. Nice Gondola ride up and a nice walk at the top with restaurant, suspension bridge and trail. Good picnic area but busy
The ride up, the view, the friendly staff, and the lodge/cafe were all wonderful! It was a great way to begin our stay in Squamish.
Although nervous of heights, I really enjoyed the views from the top. We did Panorama Trail with fabulous lookouts all around. We also did the short trail and Bridge. There is opportunity for lunch at the top with seats outside with views and inside.
Expensive and parking is not included.
The Sea to Sky Gondola is a stunning stop between Vancouver and Whistler. The gondola glides up the shoulder of Mount Habrich with huge views over Howe Sound and the Stawamus Chief, and the summit area is beautifully done — especially the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge with its sweeping mountain panorama. Shannon Falls nearby is also well worth a visit. Just be aware that parking is an extra charge on top of the ticket, and it’s not cheap.
Visited recently and it was a great trip. The ticket to the gondola is expensive, don't get me wrong, but if you're coming all the way out to Squamish, is a good idea to try the gondola at least once. Had a nice little walk around up top but was cautious about running into bears as I was with someone with mobility issues. So it was a short walk about for us. The staff at the Squamish adventure centre did say there was rangers to help manage bear situations up when hiking. But I saw none. So that's why I was extra cautious about being up hiking for a long time. We visited on a very nice, sunny dry day. Shout out to Lakhbir, the lovely manager on site for all his help in the run up to our visit as well.
This experience is out of this world and well worth the admission fee . You can spend as long as you want exploring the trails once you get to the top . The gondola ride provides amazing views . I would highly recommend this attraction. It's suitable for couples ,families and groups. I wouldn't say the trails are strenuous and would suit most abilities. An attraction that shouldn't be missed
