Ready to solve this Gastown murder mystery? This is a private game just for you and the guests in your party and requires a minimum of 7 players. This game also runs daily for smaller groups (check our other listings). You will be met by a real person in character as a detective who will start the mystery story and give you everything you need to play. The maximum group size is 15 guests (3 teams of 5 players). Contact us for larger groups (up to 48 players). Your group will be divided into teams to compete to see who can save the planet first. Maximum team size 6 players. We did the Halloween special mystery event “room 1313”. The host was great meeting us and explaining the murder. Then we did a private group solving the mystery. Host was there for clues as needed. Everyone had a great time and thought the mystery was challenging but we were still able to complete it. Would book future events.
Excellent murder mystery! Lots of fun, kept everyone engaged, so much fun and would definitely recommend. Did as team building event but would also be great to do with a group of friends for an event or just for fun!
It. Was. Amazing! We came up from Seattle for the long Thanksgiving weekend, and I wanted something we could do if we had to wait for our hotel room to be ready. This was absolutely perfect and our favorite thing we did all four days we were in Vancouver. Whenever anyone asks about our trip, we start with the murder mystery, and my friends now think I'm a genius at finding cool things to do. The awesome person who met us stayed in character and was a lot of fun. They explained that the overall puzzle was to figure out how each suspect had tried to kill the victim and who had succeeded at it. To find out, you go on an adventure through the streets of the Gastown district. It's a satisfying mix of self-guided tour and puzzle-solving, and my husband loved that you had to really pay attention to the streets and buildings. Mindfulness was key. Some of the first few puzzles were on the easier side, but they got more challenging as you progressed. Some clues required careful observation. To get the right overall answers, you had to piece together information from different places. The adventure required a certain amount of effort but it never got frustrating or boring. We totally got into the storyline and had a fantastic time. We can't say enough good things about the staff and the experience. 12/10, would do another game with them. Really good fun and a great way to see Gastown. The murder mystery set some good puzzles and we enjoyed combining the challenge with getting to know Gastown better.
Very fun activity! The puzzles were interesting but not too difficult that you got stuck for a long time. Got to see lots of Gas Town on the way! Bring water if it’s a hot day.
My wife and I did the Vancouver Outdoor Murder Mystery in Gastown during a trip from Phoenix, AZ. We absolutely LOVED IT. Such a fun way to see parts of the city, and work together to solve puzzles and challenges as a couple. It felt like we were on the Amazing Race. The program is really well done, and is challenging, but not impossible. It's more than just a scavenger hunt, and requires some thought and deduction to get things right. I would highly recommend this activity for anyone looking to do something fun in Vancouver.
The game was exactly as advertised and was a mix of clues that were fairly easy to solve and some that were very tricky. Thanks for a fun couple of hours running around Gastown.

Really fun game, especially if you can get a small group together. Very well organized and a fun challenge. Clues are challenging, but solvable. We had great fun racing around the city for 2 hours trying to solve all the clues.
My spouse loves these kinds of events so I organized it with our family. We had a great time running around solving the puzzles. In fact we plan to try some of their other adventures in the future
We were in Vancouver for a Christmas party and wanted an activity for the night before. Vancouver Mysteries was an excellent choice!! Our group of 10 split into two teams and we had a great time dashing around Gastown solving clues! This game is very well organized and everyone enjoyed playing. Highly recommend!
Had so much fun with Vancouver Mysteries. Our host/detective from the company met us at Steamworks where we had enjoyed dinner and a few pre-game drinks. Our group of eight broke into two very competitive groups of four. With our bag of tools, our clues, the evidence bag and the police report, it was all very well organized. If we looked bit goofy literally running from place to place in gastown, that's okay as it was part of the fun. Thank you Vancouver Mysteries and Detective Colond.
I wanted to get together a large group of people for my birthday, but did not want the stress of entertaining/hosting. We ended up going with Vancouver Mysteries - and did they ever deliver! From start to finish, they were a pleasure to deal with - very accommodating and responsive. They provided a well-organized, enjoyable, thought-provoking experience.. even tailoring the ending to finish at a nearby restaurant of my choice! Many of us have lived in Vancouver for a while now - but this brought us to placed in Gastown we don't often visit. The 25 of us who played are still talking how much fun it was one week later!
Detective Jang and Special Agent Roze were great - funny, engaging, and really clear at explaining the rules. The event was really well organized and went off without a hitch for our large group - no one got lost, the teams completed all the challenges, and they managed to both save Vancouver and figure out who killed Jimmy! Timing for the event was as advertised - some teams managed to finish 90 minutes, but most used the full two hours.
Our group of 12 had a great time searching around the streets in Gastown. Everyone had a blast competing against each other. Highly recommend :)
We had a fairly large group split into 2 separate activities (45 people in total). Both were well organized and a lot of fun! I would recommend this for any big group that is looking to team build and get a little bit of exercise in at the same time. :)
I booked this for a team bonding activity for work on a Friday afternoon. It was very well organized and everyone had a blast. I would definitely recommend, it's fun being a detective!
We did a morning walking tour of the downtown and chose to continue our day with this fun activity to see more of Gastown. Definitely got our steps in and our game on. On a previous visit we had done an escape room and this was.a similar feel but we were able to see the area while we played.
This company is amazing! Everyone agreed that it was the best team building that they had ever done. They took care of all of the details and let everyone sit back and enjoy themselves. They are very well organized, very thorough in the information they send you ahead of time and very responsive with any questions you may have. We arranged a dinner after the event and they even agreed to meet us at that location to give us our final scores. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone big or small groups.
This was an amazing event for my department! A lot of the time, our team building events take a lot of planning and stress. This was a great way for everyone to have a great time, all organized by Vancouver Mysteries. It was a hit amongst everyone!
