We had the most amazing tour day of Vancouver with our guide, Iresh. It was a wonderful overview of the City. His personality and knowledge of the area were both entertaining and impressive. My husband & I highly recommend this tour & guide if you are visiting the City of Vancouver.

Gastown is one of Vancouver’s most vibrant and unique areas. As the first downtown core of the city, the neighbourhood has transitioned into a centre of innovation and truly memorable experiences, for locals and tourists alike, while maintaining a strong connection to its history.
A working steam clock, one of only a few in the world, located in Vancouver's Victorian Gastown. The clock is a key tourist destination in Vancouver. It’s also the near the start and finish line of the Gastown Grand Prix, a single-day cycling race.
One of Vancouver’s few distinct cultural historic neighbourhoods, Chinatown appeals to locals, tourists, as well as a growing number of emerging chefs, artists, and small business entrepreneurs. Chinatown offers a wide array of stores, including home furnishings, health and wellness, fashion and attire, grocery, and so much more.
Canada Place is an iconic landmark and venue for world-class events and inspirationally Canadian experiences, located in the heart of Vancouver’s waterfront. Canada Place is the home port to the Vancouver-Alaska cruises, and houses Vancouver Convention Centre East, Pan Pacific Hotel, FlyOver Canada, World Trade Centre, and Indigo.
An observation deck 168 meters high offering 360° panoramic views of the city, mountains, and ocean.
Despite the fact that Coal Harbour is right downtown, it’s a surprisingly calm little neighbourhood, right on the water’s edge. It’s even more surprising given its industrial history as a former shipyard sitting right next to the railway terminus. The area starts at Canada Place and stretches west to Stanley Park, and is bordered by Burrard Inlet to the north, and West Georgia Street to the south. Coal Harbour is a charming mix of business and residential, being home to both the Vancouver Convention Centre as well as condo towers.
The Girl in a Wetsuit Statue is a bronze statue located near Stanley Park Seawall. The statue depicts a woman in a wetsuit sitting on a rock and gazing out at the water. It's a popular spot for taking photos and enjoying scenic views.
The Brockton Point Lighthouse is a popular spot for tourists to take photos. The lighthouse was built in 1914 and is still operational today. It's located at the eastern end of Stanley Park and offers stunning views of the city and the harbor
The totem poles in Stanley Park are one of the park's most iconic landmarks. There are nine totem poles in the park, each representing a different First Nations tribe. The totem poles were originally created in the 1920s as a way to showcase Indigenous art and culture.
Explore the 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest and enjoy scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park's famous Seawall.
The Rose Garden is a beautiful garden within Stanley Park that features over 3,500 rose bushes. It's a popular spot for taking photos and enjoying the colourful flowers.
Vancouver has the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path. The 28 km Seaside Greenway is an uninterrupted pathway, including the Stanley Park Seawall, that extends from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Spanish Banks Park. Perfect for a walk, cycle, or jog, it is the most popular recreational spot in the city.
Located at Ferguson Point in Stanley Park, Third Beach is a naturally sandy beach surrounded by trees that shield dippers and tanners from urban noise. This is a great beach for quiet bathing, picnics, and watching sunsets.
The Hollow Tree is a 700-year-old tree located in Stanley Park that has become a popular attraction for tourists. The tree has a hollow center that visitors can walk through, and it's a popular spot for taking photos and learning about the park's history.
Prospect Point is the highest point in Stanley Park and offers panoramic views of the park and the city. It's a popular spot for tourists to take photos and enjoy the scenery.
As a Halifax native with an affinity to Canada’s coastline, the A-maz-ing Laughter sculptures at English Bay have become a choice destination after relocating to Vancouver. They are a reminder to me to never take life to seriously, and always create room for laughter.
English Bay Beach, also called First Beach, located along Beach Ave between Gilford St and Bidwell St, is the most populated beach area in Vancouver's downtown area. The Stanley Park Seawall, a popular running and biking route, runs along the east side of the beach.
An Inukshuk in Vancouver Canada is an Inuit sculpture used for navigational purposes. It appears as an abstract human form with outstretched arms.
Created by Dennis Oppenheim, Engagement features two towering diamond engagement rings made from aluminum, steel, and translucent plexiglass. Installed at Sunset Beach / Coal Harbour in Vancouver, the piece reaches nearly 30 feet high, and the illuminated diamonds tilt away from each other, symbolizing both unity and tension. Its playful, pop-art design contrasts beautifully with the natural backdrop of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains, and at night, the glowing rings create a dreamy, cinematic atmosphere.
Burrard Bridge is an iconic Art Deco–style bridge spanning False Creek, connecting downtown Vancouver with the neighborhoods of Kitsilano and South Vancouver. From the bridge or its pedestrian pathways, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, Stanley Park, the waterfront, and the North Shore Mountains. It’s a popular spot for photography, sightseeing, and watching boats pass underneath, offering a unique perspective of Vancouver’s urban landscape meeting the natural surroundings.
The charm of Granville Island lies in its unexpected mix of uses. The famous Public Market, open daily from 9 am to 7 pm, is home to more than 50 independent food purveyors and contributes to the Island’s appeal as a renowned culinary destination. In the Net Loft Shops and in the Artisan District, many of Canada’s best artists and designers can be found. Granville Island is home to many cultural venues and hosts numerous performing arts and cultural festivals year-round.
A charming, small passenger ferry offering scenic water transport between Granville Island, Yaletown, Science World, and surrounding waterfront stops.
David Lam Park is a little under a dozen acres in size. It’s located along False Creek at 1300 Pacific Boulevard next to Yaletown about halfway between the Granville Street and Cambie Street bridges. It’s one of the most notable parks in downtown Vancouver.
Robson Street was one of the first streets in Vancouver and was named in honour of John Robson, Premier of British Columbia from 1889-1892. Its commercial traditions date from 1895 when train tracks were laid along Robson Street to Jervis St. A wide variety of small specialized shops sprang up to serve Vancouver’s rapidly growing population, and Robson become a street of best homes and social activities.
Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver’s horticultural jewel, is a major draw for floral display enthusiasts and view-seekers, and as a popular backdrop for wedding photos. At 125 m above sea level, it’s the highest point in Vancouver and makes for spectacular views of the park, city, and mountains on the North Shore.
The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver blends traditional Chinese garden design with Pacific Northwest landscape. Built as a symbol of friendship between Canada and China, it showcases Ming Dynasty-style architecture and serene features like winding paths and tranquil waterways. Visitors can explore pavilions and courtyards, attend cultural events, and learn about Chinese culture and horticulture. It's a tranquil oasis promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

Great experience loved it, very informative, friendly, great way to learn and see the town. Would recommend
Stefan provided an excellent well informed tour for us. You would never get to or see the places that we experienced without his expertise. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the all around views of the city and experience all of Vancouver rather than just the tourist traps.Van
Great experience Adrian was awesome. Vancouver was beautiful. I would highly recommend this excursion. Adrian was so nice and very knowledgeable.
Sergiy was an excellent guide. We could never have seen so much on our own! He was very knowledgeable and had fantastic suggestions for our tour.
The guide was we had was very informative, but a lot of information was given to us at one time. Didn’t love the experience
We had one full day in Vancouver. This was an excellent way to learn about this beautiful city. After our day with Adrian, we are looking forward to returning one day.
This was a great way to learn about the city! Our driver picked us up on time and in a wonderful van with glass rooftop. Which was great for viewing the skyscrapers in the city. Wonderful personalized snacks and beverages were provided. We saw all of the big sites in Vancouver in a day! Our guide crested a video of us touring the city and sent it to us at the conclusion of the tour. It was very nice day and I highly recommend !
Very nice tour. Knowledgeable guide. Being able to customize made it a wonderful trip ! My favorite place was the Japanese Garden in the Univ of BC.
Outstanding tour! We could not have packed more sites and information in the day. Stefan was the best! He was knowledgeable, fun, and left us wanting to come back to Vancouver. Simply put, it was a fantastic day!
Adrian was a terrific guide, spending all day showing us the best of Vancouver, and entertaining us with stories about all we saw. We had only one day here after returning from a cruise and we are so glad we elected to book this tour! Adrien was knowledgeable and very entertaining without being too much. He took us to a great local place for fresh fish and chips on the waterfront too. And he even dropped us and our luggage off at the airport at the end, saving us the hassle of returning to the hotel first. I highly recommend this tour and Adrian!
Our tour guide was prompt, friendly, and very informative about Vancouver. He did a good job of showing of a wide variety of things and his love for Vancouver was plain to see.
The list of sights was not as i would have chosen. Very minor sights in a city full of beauty. Very peripheral on the sights the guide chose
What an amazing day! Stefan , our fabulous guide, was passionate about this city and had so much knowledge to impart. We were kept well informed and saw all the wonderful areas of Vancouver plus a few extra stops. Stefan also offered suggestions for things to do during our stay. The day passed quickly but we were never rushed or bored. Can highly recommend this tour. Thanks Stefan
The tour guide's knowledge and professionalism was outstanding but his friendly welcoming approach was impeccable. Just great.
All in one tour was excellent and gave us experience of Vancouver in one day. Our guide Gaby was well knowledgeable about Vancouver. She showed us all to see places, didn't bored us with history lessons. She also showed us some out of itinerary places which are worth to see. I will highly recommend this tour by Viator and tour guide Gaby to explore Vancouver.
We had only one day to experience Vancouver and this tour was wonderful. We were at the end of an Alaska cruise with a very late flight home, so what does one do with a full day in Vancouver? We would recommend having Stefan show you around town. He picked my husband and me up from the cruise terminal, put our stuff in the trunk of the car and then drove us all around town. We stopped at the parks, photo opportunities galore and enjoyed lunch at the market. Then after a full day he dropped us off at the airport. Wonderful!!!!
Our guide, Stefan, not only knows everything about the city attractions, but also where to shop for the items we were interested in, and took us there! Destinations are fully customized based on our wishes. We had a fantastic experience.
What a great day! Stefan was our guide and he was so knowledgeable. We had a great lunch on Granville Island. So many incredible places to see
The tour was well- paced, and we never felt rushed, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the city's charm fully. It was undoubtedly the best tour we've ever had. No doubt, this is our family's best tour. Our experience with this private full-day city tour was truly exceptional. Anant, our guide, brought Vancouver to life with his insightful stories and deep knowledge. From the serene beauty of stanley park to the vibrant markets of Granville Island, every moment was filled with wonder
Stefan was terrific! He is extremely informative and very thorough. We left with a clear understanding of Vancouver’s past and present. He brought the sites to life with his detailed explanation of each of their history. Highly recommend! Thank you, Maria and Tom H.
Excellent tour of Vancouver. Our guide Shannon was so knowledgeable about Vancouver and I still can’t believe she got us to all requested sites in our 8 hour tour, plus she gave us a driving tour of all major neighborhoods. She was smart, interesting, accommodating, and honest. Exactly what we were looking for! We’ll definitely return to Vancouver!
Our tour guide Shannon was friendly and acommodating to our needs. She picked us right on time, and dropped us off at the Airport, which was a plus. However, we feel the tour is very expensive for what it offers. The majority of the places we visited where near to the convention center. The China Town area is super depresing with the homeless all over the streets, perhaps it should be remove from the tour. The highlighs of the tour was Granville Island and Stanley Park Rose Gardens.
The best part of this tour for both my wife and me was our Outstanding Tour Guide: Shannon Ayres!!! She was so knowledgeable but most importantly so enthusiastic while displaying the true "wonders& marvels" of her home town, the Majestic City & Sights of Vancouver, B.C., Canada!
Adrian was awesome! We had a ton of luggage from our Alaska cruise. He picked us up promptly from the port terminal in Vancouver and got ALL our luggage and 4 of us in one vehicle and dropped us off at the airport to check our luggage, as our flight wasn't until midnight and then we left for the tour all day. He took us around the city and we got a great dose of what Vancouver was all about! He dropped us all off at the airport at the end of the day. We highly recommend him!
Jason Southern was our guide on that tour and we had a wonderful day, which we keep in great memory. Best tour ever we booked.
We had the most amazing day with Gaby. She was lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable. Even though it was a private tour, Gaby knew when to hold back and leave us to enjoy our surroundings. I can highly recommend her for this tour and hope to meet her again the next time I’m in Canada.
This was the perfect way to get to know Vancouver if you only have one day. Our guide/driver was wonderful and made our experience memorable. The car was roomy and very comfortable.
Shannon , our tour guide was amazing ! She knows the city in and out . She spent 7 hours taking us to see all the major sites that Vancouver has to offer . She was very knowledgeable about the city and offered the most interesting facts . If you only do one thing in Vancouver , this is it !!! Highly recommended Shannon !!
Shannon (tour guide) and Lao (in training) were fantastic. Highly recommend the private tour experience to anyone. The day is yours to see, eat, shop, rest, hurry, linger as you wish. Enjoy a stop? Stay longer! Want to skip a stop or move along quicker? Something else you want to see? Your choice! Need someone to take a photo of you? If they’re able, they’ll use your device. Questions about the area? Dining or shopping suggestions? Shannon and Lao were full of knowledge, advice, helpful hints, must do’s! A Full and complete tour of city made us feel as if we’d been in Vancouver for a week! Saw everything, did everything, got exactly what was promised (and more!) from brochure. Only improvement suggestion might be a confirmation from the local tour operator that they have your information and booking will be be at at pick up spot as scheduled. Maybe the day before? Or? That’s nitpicking because Shannon WAS EARLY and called us for pick up, 100% reliable. Local tour provider confirmation (along with all the Viator reminders) would have offered additional peace of mind. Tour was fantastic. Shannon (and Lao) were great!
Great time, very good guide Many discoveries The 20 discovery points were covered, a very good tour of Vancouver.
Recommended , you get a good overview of all the highlights of the city.Guide was very detailed and likeable
