Hot Tub Boat Ride Around Victoria

The entire experience was AMAZING! Friends and I went for my birthday and had a blast. The water stayed hot for our entire cruise, and we added Epsom salts for extra relaxation. If we got too hot sitting in the water we’d sit on the edge of the boat or do a polar plunge in the Gorge! The FAQ page of the website was helpful for what to expect and bring (a towel, though you can rent one if you forget!), and our guide Nick gave a great brief but informative (and funny) orientation. He helped send us on our way and then got off the boat, so it was nice to have it to ourselves and it was very easy to drive. We brought our own snacks and drinks and could play music on the Bluetooth speaker provided. There are change rooms and lockers to store your things on land, and a dry bag/box for phones etc on the boat. There aren’t any bathrooms on the dock or the boat (or you can pee during a cold plunge!), but we were able to use the facilities at CRAFT beforehand. There’s an outdoor shower on the dock which was nice to use after the cruise, and the warm patio lights add such a nice ambiance. There was a lot of action on the water that night (Sunday, 7:30pm) - a tug moving a barge, the Johnston St bridge going up, another boat passing us, and seals and herons, which made our cruise even more memorable! Highly recommended wearing the captain hats for your cruise and taking more pictures than we did. Ask the staff about any photo promotions too, and don’t forget to tip your guide! We’ll definitely be back.

Such a well run operation. Peter the owner is approachable and appreciative of the business. Cimmeron (sorry-I know I have this name wrong but it's because there is a street back home with this name..my apologies) is absolutely a delight. Knowledgeable, fun, serious about safety and made our evening absolutely memorable. Price is reasonable when you think about the experience and what it takes to invest and get BC approval.

This was such an amazing experience! Relaxing in a hot tub boat while taking in the beautiful harbour views was unforgettable. Being able to hop out for a quick dip in the ocean and then warm back up in the hot tub made it even more special. Chad was an excellent host he was very informative, friendly, funny that made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this unique experience to anyone looking for a fun and memorable way to enjoy the harbour!

This was the second time out with friends on one of the hot tub boats and it did not disappoint, it's always so much fun, especially going for cold dips the water. Highly recommend.

My sons took me on the hot tub boat as a “stag” event for my upcoming wedding. We had a riot! So much fun. The young man at the start was knowledgeable and kept it fun. We dove into Victoria Harbour, which icy cold, but the sauna warmed us up pronto! Lots of fun!

This is a wacky and beautiful thing to do in Victoria! Locals, if you have out of town guests, definitely build a hot tub boat experience into their itinerary! It will wow them and even you will be pretty impressed getting to see a perspective of the Gorge you rarely get to see. Our trip yesterday: amazing weather; river otters swimming alongside; watching people on the Selkirk Trestle watching us—the boat attracts a lot of attention! A thorough operation training session and safety briefing from Heath who was kind and friendly and made sure we were prepared before we set off on our own. Guests told me afterwards it is a must-do. Very unique.

What a great experience, super chilled out cruising down the harbour. Good instructions from the friendly & helpful staff and easy to operate. We saw otters and a seal as a bonus.

We were delighted with the friendly and informative safety briefing from Chad, and he instilled us with the confidence to set out for our Hot Tub Boat Adventure. The boat was equipped with everything we needed, including Pirate hats! The Bluetooth speaker worked wonderfully as we sang along to “Barrett’s Privateers”. We were accompanied for part of the voyage by a friendly seal and many energetic dragon boaters. We recommend jumping into the water for a dip when you’re near the Selkirk Trestle. You get some great views of the harbour and Gorge that you wouldn’t usually see. I can’t think of anything that would have improved the experience.

This is a Nice little family friendly activity for a cool day! Not too hot! The staff was super great and the boat is easy to operate. Very fun!!

It was the Best! Easy to navigate, the tub stays hot and the waters are calm. 5/5 We even got to watch a river otter eat a little crab!!!

Absolutely amazing! Exceeded expectations and can’t wait to go again. The staff were informative and hilarious, it was well set up and organized, and totally worth the money.

This was so fabulous! The views are amazing, the hot tub is easy to drive, and even in October a quick swim in the Gorge was so much fun. Highly recommend.

This is one of the coolest experiences I have had. 10/10. The boat is the perfect size and it's really cool to see the view from the water! If you're in Victoria, this is a must.

Super fun experience! I would definitely do this again. Loved swimming in the gorge and then getting back in the hot tub. And the sites are beautiful. The staff was great too! We loved Chad and his sense of humor!

This was one of the coolest things we’ve done in Victoria! The hot tub boat was so fun! Easy to maneuver for a non-boater, the hot tub was nice and hot and stayed that way for the entire hour and a half. Instructions on where we could/couldn’t go were very clear and a map was provided. The boat was stocked with safety necessities including a radio. Sky, the lovely person that got us set up and ready to go, was incredibly helpful, answered all our questions easily and thoroughly, provided all the information we needed, while being very friendly and welcoming. We saw some harbour seals and a heron on our trip too! It was amazing!

Such a Unique and Fun experience! Hot tub boating in the bay! Very relaxing also. Our grandsons loved it! Recommend giving it a try!

We had such a wonderful Mother’s Day with Hot Tub Boat Victoria. We will definitely include this in future trips to Victoria. Highly recommended.

What a cool experience! I’ve done a lot of water/boat activities and this was definitely my first time in a floating hot tub. We were able to get pretty close to a family of seals, and watch as the mother seal pet her baby. It was adorable. I loved the smell of the wood fire that kept the water warm, and getting the chance to swim in the icy water.

Fun day out on the water. It was a little hard to know where to go (map was a bit sketchy) but we managed to get past Selkirk Trestle and back safely. Weather when we went was awesome - not so sure how this would be on colder or wetter days. Staff was great.

We had a great experience. The weather wasn’t the greatest during our visit, but the fun we shared was priceless!!! The boat was easy to learn to drive too.

Our family of 6 had a blast trolling around in the hot tub boat. Plenty of room in it for 6 full grown people and the water stayed nice and hot. Very unique experience that we will never forget!

Booked as a birthday gift for my 20yr old son and his friends. They had a blast! They were able to jump into the cold water and climb back into the hot tub while out in the bay. The weather was perfect and they even got to see a fantastic sunset as they went in the evening. The instructor was friendly and excellent at covering all the knowledge needed for safety. I wish I had caught her name. Great experiences, memories and laughter and at a reasonable price!

Maria was so kind and helpful. Very informative on how to run our hot tub boat. Was worth the trip down to Victoria to experience this with my family. Highly recommend for sure! We had the opportunity to jump into the water too from our hot tub.

This trip was a Christmas gift from our son and daughter-in-law and it was a wonderful experience. We went at 3:00 on a sunny January afternoon, with no wind and a very light ebb tide running, so conditions were perfect. Joe showed us our safety video, helped us into the lovely hot tub, and with our playlist on the provided speaker, off we went. As Joe predicted, at our stately top speed we were passed by the only other boaters out that day, some kayakers. Lots of ducks, loons and a blue heron, and lots of bicycle commuters on the adjacent trail, all of them envious of us, I’m sure. We tootled up the Gorge to the Sellkirk Bridge, did a quick circuit of the rocky island there, and headed back towards downtown. We didn’t try swimming, at our age we were somewhat concerned about climbing aboard on the ladder, but we did dip our feet in the water to cool off before popping back into the tub. We had hoped to see the lights on the Johnson Street Bridge come on, but we had to be back at 5:00 and they don’t come on until 5:15 or so at this time of year. We did have a spectacular sunset though, truly epic. Altogether, we found Hot Tub Boat Victoria to be a first class operation, with everything, from booking, to sailing, to docking, to be effortless and fantastic.

If your in Victoria I’d recommend the day cruise because you can tour around a lot further. Nights are more restricted, but the lights are beautiful

Great time even in the cold and blustery weather! ‘Driving’ the tub was fun and easy. Passers by were friendly and intrigued about our experience!

We went with another couple and had a great time! A quick and easy tutorial at the start and we were on the water. Make sure you jump in the ocean for a dip to cool off along the way! Highly recommend adding this to you activities while in Victoria.

So much fun. And Hot Tug Victoria is lucky to have an employee like Joe. He made it so relaxed and easy for us.

I booked a hot tub boat for our family as part of a birthday celebration. It was a blast! The boats are cleaned and get fresh hot water prior to every booking. Navigation was very easy. The length of time was perfect. Jumping out of the boat for quick swims and then hopping back in the tub to warm up was great. The harbour was clean and there was not a lot of other boat traffic. I will for sure do this again, probably late February as it would be a nice way to break up the winter blues.

Great people and the Boat was in great condition. New fresh Water is replaced before every outing. Highly recommend

My friends and I finally got the chance to go on the hot tub boats in Victoria, after being excited to try it for so long! It was worth every penny! An awesome night outside on the water! Would 100% do it again.
