Itinerary
Explore the beautiful city of Victoria, known for its historical venues and scenic landscapes. Your 3-hour tour starts with pickup from your Victoria-based hotel or lodging. After meeting your driver and guide, you will make your way to the downtown core near Victoria's inner harbour. Visit the Royal British Columbia Museum, which features artifacts, galleries, and collections of British Columbia's natural, modern and human history. Afterwards, stop at the Fairmont Empress Hotel, one of Victoria's oldest and most famous hotels. With turn of the century chateau-style architecture, the hotel is located on Government Street facing the Inner Harbour. Other stops along your tour include Chinatown and Craigdarroch Castle. Victoria is home to the oldest Chinatown in Canada and the second oldest in North America. Listen to your guide as he brings the history and culture of this neighborhood to life. Then make a quick stop at Craigdarroch Castle, a Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion established in 1890 as a residence for wealthy coal baron Robert Dunsmuir and his family. Next, enjoy a leisurely walk in the same gardens as the Queen on your visit to Government House, the home to Royalty during their visits. You'll then venture through the neighborhoods of Oak Bay and finish your tour with a scenic journey on Marine Drive, past beautiful Beacon Hill Park. Your journey ends with a guided tour of Craigdarroch Castle. This Victoria-era Scottish Baronial mansion is one of Victoria's oldest and most beloved landmarks. The tour will walk through the 25,000 square foot, 30 roomed historic stately home, and display the authentic lavish furnishings from the 1890s, and world-renowned stained-glass windows and intricate woodworkings.

Jay was an excellent guide, very satisfied. Would highly recommend him.
Pierre was unbelievable! He gave us a truly personal tour that we will all remember for the rest of our lives.
Guide was very friendly as well as knowledgeable about area. Tried successfully to meet our expectations of tour.
Shawn was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. He was also flexible when we extended the tour for a bit.
A very efficient and comprehensive way to see the sites in Victoria, especially if you are short on time. Our tour guide, Blair, was very knowledgeable and personable too. Highly recommend both the tour and Blair.
Sean was an excellent guide. A local who not only provided an informative narrative of the city’s history and its major landmarks, but added in a few “hidden” gems.
We were a parry of four adults. We thought this was the very best city tour we could have taken. Our guide, Michael, was wonderful. He's knowledgeable about the history of Victoria, as well as interesting cultural topics. We felt very comfortable talking about a wide variety of local topics with him as we toured much more of the city than we ever expected. We definitely recommend this tour!
Richard was very knowledgable and took us throughout the city. We got a nice view of multiple parts of the city and learned about a lot of the history of the community.
Our tour guide Richard was very knowledgable and took us to some great photo stops. Viator sold us this tour saying that we could visit and TOUR the castle - the representative I was chatting with online, although helpful, sold me the tour irregardless of the castle being open or not. I had explained that my cruise company had cancelled my tour to the castle with NO explanation…when we arrived at the castle with Richard, we found out that the castle is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Viator customer service rep should have known this. The castle was the only thing personally I was interested in. Poor Show Viator. We also had to get a taxi from our cruise ship to an unknown hotel as the tour company was said to only pick up in town. But Richard even offered to drop us back at the dock without us even asking! All the negative here is on Viator, not the tour company that toured my party of 6. This was great value for money, compared to the cruise ship offerings and I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone. (If you are going to tour the castle, you have to pay and that is not included in the cost of the tour, but this was still $30 cheaper than my cruise ship offered with the added personal expense of paying for entry to the castle (we were a party of 6). Four adults and two awesome teenagers. So to recap - Richard was great, tour company was great Viator was NOT great.
Our tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable about the history of Victoria and the places we visited. He was respectful of our return time to the cruise ship as well. Thank you!
I planned the Ovation of the Seas Cruise trip for me and my husband, my brother & girlfriend and my aunt & uncle. The tour description lead me to believe we would get to see the gardens and tour the castle (the TWO things we wanted to do). Our driver drove past the castle and said it was closed (I couldn’t see it because it was on the opposite side of the van as I was sitting and then he said the gardens were too far to go. Said it would take 30 min to get there and 30 min to get back and we had to have 90 min to see it, so we didn’t go). Then he proceeded to drive us around the city for 2 1/2 hrs (which would have been enough time) with very little historical information and not much of any other info. Also people in the back seat couldn’t hear him (none of us could hear him well). Totally wasted our time in Victoria. So sad that we got NOTHING out of the tour except a boring ride around town. I have used Viator many times in the past and always had great experiences and never a complaint but this was a total bust ☹️ I would actually like my money back. He was a nice enough guy but it was not up to Viator’s usual excursion/tour experience.
Kiki was great! Arrived in port at 9 pm and only had a few hours. Still worth taking the tour with Keith.
I would deeply recommend Mr. Keith and Kiki's Shuttle! Kiki gave us an awesome speech of the history of the city and was always punctual on time. Please don't forget to ask him to sing: "Oh Canada" in backwards, we shall be pleased to do it and included with his fee schedule. His presence and happiness is truly inspiring, Mr. Keith is so nice and told my family a lot about Victoria and Canadian culture that we did not handle before. A+ Service recommended! Thank you Keith. Greetings, Vicente Perez
We enjoyed visiting Victoria, Rogers’ chocolate shop, the views, the palace, the history behind places
Kiki showed us around Victoria and shared so many great stories and facts about the town. Was a pleasure to ride with him, and get to know such a lovely person!
This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable a out Victoria’s history and made this one of the best tours we’ve been on in a very long time. I would recommend this tour to all my family and friends. Joanna Pangelinan, MS/PSY
I sent my parents and my mother in law on this trip! Sean could not have been nicer to them! They loved all his stories and info he shared! He got them to see the gardens and the castle on their ship stop aboard the Majestic Princess. I cannot say enough good things about this tour and the operator!!!! A million thank yous!
Sean was a fabulous tour guide. Very personable, professional and well informed. I highly recommend this tour, especially for older folks with mobility issues.
Sean was a great guide, very informative and knowledgeable. Great driver, personable too. We saw a part of Victoria that we've not seen before, beautiful neighborhoods, and history.
Butchart Gardens Views of Victoria city after dark Driver was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided extremely interesting stories about the area
We did not arrive in port until about 8 and had to leave by 11. We found Sean at the end of the dock and he convinced us his was the tour to take. We are so happy that we did. Most everything was closed but he took us to see the highlights and shared a ton of knowledge about the area and history. We asked him if he could maybe drop us off at a good bar with poutine. He took us to Irish Times, a wonderful Irish pub. He even joined us when we asked. We had great beer and poutine then went back to the ship. Sean was great and we had a great time.
We had the tour booked for 10:30 but no one was there for us. After contacting the owner we were made aware our driver was having problems with the vehicle. We were able to still take the tour an hour and a half later. Our guide was awesome and very apologetic. Things happen but we made the best of it.
Grant was a fantastic tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable of the history of Vancouver Island, including the details of why the Parliament building is misnamed.
This was a memorable experience. Kiki himself was our tour guide, and we remember him fondly. Very entertaining, but informative, flexible, and just really attentive to our questions and needs. Thanks so much; we loved every minute!
Kiki picked up my sisters and I from the Clipper terminal. He was waiting for us as we got through customs. Asked us what our expectations or preferences for the day was. He was warm, witty and professional. Very knowledgeable of the island and it's rich history, Kiki went out of his way to accomodate us. Recommended a few places for lunch and shopping. My overall experience was wonderfulf. I highly recommend him.
Sean was an outstanding guide and was very knowledgeable of the city and its history. We very much enjoyed seeing the castle and other out of the way neighborhoods. A very nice introduction to Victoria.
Keith and Sean were great. Full of information and rally enjoyed the sites throughout Victoria. Highly recommend it!
Keith was an excellent 👌 tour guide. Funny and knowledgeable. Really wanted to see Buchard gardens and he made it work for us.
The guide was great! However the Trolley was open and it was very cold during the whole trip. Really didn’t do much for the excursions. Went to the totem park but we could not enter the workshop. This should be included.
Shawn our driver was amazing. Full of information. He was great with my mom who has mobility issues. I would recommend their tour to anyone. So great!
Scott, our driver, was pleasant and knowledgeable. He was quite flexible, too, when we chose to stay in the van for a "drive by" rather than exit. He quickly picked up on what we liked and made sure we saw the points of interest to us. Oh! We saw deer walking on sidewalks! Great time.
I wish I could give Sean more than 5 stars! He was excellent! He was super patient with my dad who has mobility issues and you could tell he really loved living in Victoria and wanted to show us the best parts! We did about a two hour tour and were sad when it was done. He introduced us to ketchup chips and took us to a great shop for touristy gifts. Can not thank him enough!
We were extremely disappointed. We had limited time in Victoria due to the ship's late arrival. The tour guide met us at the dock and stated he did not have a big enough van to accommodate our group of 8. He tried very hard to locate another vehicle, but there were none available. He stated that his company was never provided any information from Viator other than the contact name. He said they hadn't received the number in our group or payment from Viator. We stood around the dock for about 45 minutes hoping he could resolve the situation. As it was getting darker, our only option was to not take the tour or try to squeeze into his vehicle. The driver offered to refund part of the cost so we decided to take the tour as we were looking forward to visiting Victoria. It was very uncomfortable and difficult to see. Although we anticipated eventual darkness, due to the amount of time that was lost at the dock and getting in and out of the cramped van, darkness set in much earlier in the tour making it difficult to see through the windows and take photos. Although the driver attempted to complete all the stops as required and provided good quality commentary, our group was disappointed. After the tour, we asked about the refund and the driver said he only had $40. That amount was less than the cost of one person. We don't know where the fault lies, but our group feels we did not get our money's worth.
We had an amazing time viewing the city with Lanny! Very knowledgeable about this beautiful city. He knew all the perfect spots to take us. He was very punctual and very professional. The limo was immaculate. I would highly recommend him and his company for a personal tour.
This was the perfect tour to experience this quaint city. David was our driver and guide, and he had many interesting facts about the town, and really gave us a great tour of the entire city. I would 100% recommend this tour, and ask for David.
