We had a beautiful day, and traveling across the water was so pleasurable that we were NOT sad to have turned away from the hop-on hop-off bus in the city. The guides were very responsive to questions, tho' they didn't have "canned raps" every time you took a segment. Enjoyed the Maritime Museum and the Science Museum.
Great service! Lots of ferries all day! Friendly drivers and very helpful too! No need to pre book as tickets can be bought on the boat!
This is a fun date type experience. You can see nice use of the shoreline from the water. It’s a convenient way to get from section to section in this area with less walking I would recommend getting the day pass, which you can get for cheaper online if you’re planning on going to more spots than just one. They do accept credit cards on the boat. Most of the employees were friendly and helpful. They do appreciate a tip if you can help them out any in that manner.
The experience was of greater value than the cost ! The operators of the ferry were very courteous. The market at Granville Island was interesting with plenty of tassty delights while sunset at the beach was beautiful and relaxing.
Not what I expected. I thought it would be more like the picture in the ad. Really not worth the money.
A great experience! A quirky way to travel to Granville Island. Speedy, good frequency and friendly staff.
We opted to do the 40 minute round harbour trip. Whilst we were not expecting a commentary or anything as it was the hop on hop off ticket, we had the most miserable boat driver. He clearly didn’t want to be there and constantly grimaced and rolled his eyes when anyone dare want to come on and was particularly grumpy when he sold us the ticket. He was having some kind of argument with another colleague called Christian who was driving another boat. At one point we banged into Christian’s boat on a jetty and this argument continued for a few stops. He then missed a stop where people wanted to get off (though don’t think it was miserable drivers fault as I don’t think the group getting on made it clear where they were going). Saw the sights we wanted to see and got some great photos, shame about the grumpy young driver who clearly didn’t want to be there. I get we all get bad days but don’t show it in front of paying customers…
Great experience. My family enjoyed the hop on and hop off experience. We enjoyed every stop. Lots to see and do. The staff is very friendly and makes your experience very pleasant. Great way to experience Vancouver. We highly recommend this way to travel around Vancouver and sightseeing. The water taxi ride is very fun and timely and a great way to spend a day. We would do this again next time we visit. Thank you for such a great experience. Muchas Gracias!
If you just want to cruise the harbor and relax, this is a nice thing to do. The staff was nice and was always willing to direct in the right direction. Locations to catch the ferry was a little confusing.
Can be long lines at Granville Island and Sunset beach. Go early. You can also start at a different location where it’s not as popular.
It was sooooo much fun. We enjoyed having the day pass, that is the best way to ride the ferries. You can go to all the stops. We also returned at night to view the sunset and city lights. Well worth it.
Enjoyed the experience. We were able to go in both the ferries and it was fun. I had mother in law who had difficulty getting in and out of the boat, the boat operators were patient enough and greeted everyone with a smile.
Great way to go up and down False Creek, never waited more than 10 minutes or so for the next ferry!
Excellent Ferry boats! Loved riding these back and forth. Never had to wait long at all. They were all helpful and friendly!
Very fun and easy way to see the sights along False Creek. All the boat operators were very friendly.
First time visiting great options to see Vancouver by water. Great value for money. Great drivers with lots of knowledge and experience. A must do if staying and the want to get around.
It was a wonderful experience watching the whole city from the ferries and experiencing the beautiful views.
The False Creek Ferries are great to get around in Vancouver but you only need this all day pass if you are going to get on and off multiple times. Otherwise just pay when you get on the ferry and it’s much cheaper.
It was a fun little ride but confusing to find where to catch it if you aren’t familiar with the city. It
Purchasing the ticket before hand was convenient and very well priced for hop-on and hop- off. Not only was inexpensive but everyone "driving the ferry" were nice, attentive and gave me advice to places to visit in every stop. In addition, the Ferries were coming every 5 minutes and I never had to wait in between stops, and everything was within walking distance and if you stay in downtown the ports are close to many hotels. Highly recommended!
Great way to see different spots along the harbor. With a day pass, you can hop off at a stop and explore at your leisure and then hop back on. Lots of ferries coming and going across the day.
Delightful way to spend our final few hours in Vancouver before flying home. Saw seals and bald eagles and the staff were informative and helpful thank you.
User the river bus service four times and every time it was excellent!!! Fast pick up and drop off, pilots were all really friendly and helpful and the trips are cheap!!
Wonderful surprise but not surprising. The people who work for False Creek Ferries are not only efficient and friendly and good at their jobs. They are honest and good people. We lost a credit card on the one of the many docks and when we asked 1 hour later if they had found anything they reported it had been returned and was waiting for us and offered a free ride to pick it up.
We spent the morning of our last day in Canada on these hop on hop off ferries. Nice relaxed way the spend the morning on the water. The ferry’s are so cute.
It was such a fun and relaxing way to explore Vancouver. The views from the water were beautiful, and the stops made it easy to visit places like Granville Island, David Lam Park and Yaletown. The boats came often — so convenient! Definitely worth getting the day pass.
Very easy to find and all staff friendly and helpful. Great way to see Granville Island and discover other hidden gems along the waterfront.
great service and cheap way to explore Granville Island and Vancouver in general, the service was good and the boats comfortable
Great friendly crew. It was raining and we were restricted to some of the docks/stops so after granville island we were encouraged to stay on the ferry and have a ride around to each dock as part of our day pass.
Bought the day pass ticket and could not get on a boat, waited 45 minutes and no boat 😡. Kept getting told by passing boats someone would come, eventually someone said they were too busy 🤔. In the meantime Awuabus picked up and dropped off at least every 5 minutes. We bought tickets with the wrong company, they did not have enough boats and were not even interested in trying to provide a service after they took payment.
We had visited Granville Island and we wanted to get over to the other side of the water so we could walk along to English Bay so we used False Creek Ferries to get across. There were boats running quite frequently. The staff we met were all friendly and welcoming and seemed to have a good handle of getting about with all the other boats that were milling about as well. They were also communicating with each other so they seemed to be on top of everything as an organisation. There is a step down onto the boat so be mindful if you are a person who struggles with mobility. The boat also rocks back and forth so keep an eye on your footing. It did not take long to get across and it was a lovely way to travel rather than walking or driving.
Very difficult to find the first hop on spot. No location markers in the booking beyond a general location. We got on the wrong company's ferries because the operator said it was correct then the next ferry operator clued us into the fact we had tickets to a different ferry. Now the ferry people were all very friendly and the ride was fun but very difficult to find the right hop on spot.
Great experience. Informative boat operators. Beautiful weather. Five stars. Would definitely recommend
Great experience, great little guide, beautiful place, exactly as described, time was accurate, we really enjoyed this lot of transportation.
This is an excellent way to see sights of Vancouver and enjoy the water . Small quaint ferry with a personal touch
Disappointing. An emap of the pickup locations would have helped as we were unfamiliar with the stops. Signage and an info person or booth would have helped clarify the process. We would have better enjoyed the 1 hoir narrated harbor tour.
Amazing very friendly staff fun and relaxing smooth ride. I highly recommend to everyone. I will definitely do it again
Great value to get to Granville Island at $7 round trip. Nice way to see the island. Short trip of 2 min versus 40 min walking.
This was a wonderful experience to see many different areas of Vancouver. If your limited with walking, you may not want to try this mode, unless you just go for the boat ride. There are e-bike rentals everywhere too. The staff is very friendly. The boats are small, and with summer in full force, we had to wait for a 2nd boat to arrive a couple times, but never for too long. There is a great parking lot to park a car for the day near the "Village" Science World dock. (Decent rates and close to the doc). There is a 2nd company with ferry boats who share the same docs.... so make sure what line you are standing in. Day pass was the best! But you can buy individual 1 way and R/T tickets too. Buy at doc, online or on the boat! Super easy and so much fun! Highly recommended!
Super fun, inexpensive way to navigate Vancouver's waterways meeting folks and enjoying cityscape views under the guidance of experienced captains. We definitely recommend!
These little boats are very convenient. We purchased the day pass and rode the whole route for a great view of the harbor.
A great way to spend a day waiting for our cruise, we would ride the go to the public market, then ride the other direction to the marine museum. Great thing
This is a great way to get around the little harbor area, and the little ferries were running constantly. We never waited more than a couple of minutes. The one thing that would be really nice is if the captains narrated a bit of what we were seeing -- a bit of a tour guide. They only announce the stops.
Very easy to navigate and we never waited longer than 5 minutes. All the drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this experience!
Lovely little ferry and great way to see Vancouver from the water. You can stop and enjoy different stops - museum or go for a nice meal
We enjoyed the different ferries and friendly staff. Great views of the city. We stopped at Granville Island and also at the Maritime Museum. The ferries ran often. It was very convenient
Nice boat ride but expected narration along the way. Not very knowledgeable. Disappointing because I took this trip b4 and it was much better
Easy to access and find (with some local help) . Friendly staff and very cute little boats that maneuver well and get you on and off quickly and safely
Fantastic value - I spent the day ferry hopping and saw Kitsilano, Granville Island, Olympic Village and Yaletown. Especially valuable for the trip to/from Kits! The first ferry operator seemed confused by the electronic pass from TripAdvisor, but quickly wrote me out a card day pass, which was easily identified by other operators throughout the day.
